November 10 2018, Horizon Air ground service agent Richard Russell, age 29, a man with no piloting experience, steals a Horizon Air Bombardier Q400 turboprop airliner from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport in SeaTac, Washington, and proceeds to fly it for over an hour, in that time doing aerobatics with it not though possible for an aircraft of its type.

He would eventually purposely crash the plane on the lightly populated Ketron Island in Puget Sound.

Long term metal health issues with Mr. Russel led to this incident, which is been theorized came from head injuries during his football days in high school and college.
