Constantly on my mind

It got me contemplating on the recent 1989 vault tracks, which triggered a relapse of thoughts and feelings as I took my 3rd coffee of the day. I know I just had to sit down and management my thoughts. The songs concluded in a way that wasn’t graceful, yet they had a cleansing effect on me.

Fast forward 1,460 days, I decided to jump-off from a fairytale-like situation. It seemed as if the music was creating a new version of myself in my mind, but this new version left me in a state of internal conflict, almost like a ‘war of words.’ I was concerned about losing not only the other person but also some part of myself.

Fortunately, I managed to de-escalate the situation swiftly and regain clarity. The final vault track had a significant impact, especially when the song goes, ‘I was hoping you’d be there and say the one thing I’ve been wanting,’ only to answer with ‘but no.’ This moment struck a chord with me, and I felt a sense of loss, but I decided to move forward and keep going.
