Warnings: maybe some curse words
Words: 678
Halloween fics: day one
As a hunter, Halloween was a shitty time. Every. Single. Year. You didn't have time to just sit down and relax watching trashy movies with the boys anymore. So, when everything calmed down a little, you just had to plan a Halloween schedule for you guys.
"We need pumpkins"
Dean was in the middle of eating a slice of his pie as you entered the kitchen. "What? Why?"
"Guys, it's Halloween!" You were really excited and everyone could see that.
"Y/n it's September" Sam said after finishing his coffee.
"So?"
"Halloween is the worst time of the year" The oldest Winchester didn't even looked at your face. "Everyone knows that. So my answer is no."
"C'mon man, please" you were pouting and you knew that that's why they treated you like a baby sister but right now this just wasn't important.
"Y/n/n we talked about this" Dean ended any kind of communication with that.
"You're a pain in the ass these days, Winchester!"
The last Halloween you had was a couple of weeks before your father died, he loved to wear costumes and decorate pumpkins with you. He even let you go trick or treating. And he was a freaking hunter.
'He wants it to be like this so be it. I won't help him with his Dean cave'
Laying in your bed face first you were still mad but you couldn't say you don't understand him. The point is that you miss your father so much that you didn't have time to mourn him the other years, specially in Halloween.
"I just wanted a normal life, y/f/n, not being dragged to this shit"
"But my name is Castiel…"
He scared you so bad you fell off your bed.
"Fucking shit, Cass! You should wear a bell, man" he helped you up like the good friend he was.
"Why are you sad?" The man sat down on the bed, looking right through your eyes.
"Dean won't let me get pumpkins to decorate this Halloween, it's the first time I have time to do it after…"
"…Your father died." Cass finished the sentence for you.
"Yeah"
"So? Were can we get some pumpkins?" Cass got up, holding your hand.
"A pumpkin patch?"
And just like that you two were surrounded by pumpkins, every size and color. Kids running, dogs barking and couples looking around for what they liked the most.
Your clothes surely wasn't proper for this, you were trembling in no time.
"Here." The angel took his trenchcoat and put around your shoulders.
"Thanks, Cass"
Castiel was really protective of you, not that the Winchesters weren't but he would do anything to help you, to make you happy.
"Do you think we should get some pie for Dean?" Cass had his head tilted in thought.
"I don't know… do you think we should?"
"We'll think about this later. Now the priority is you." He hold your hand in his and pulled you with him to see the ones you wanted to get.
°
"What are they doing?" The man asked, looking at some kids running and hiding.
"They're playing hide and seek. It's really fun."
"Can we play?" His face was really sweet and confused.
"Hmmm I don't know"
And just like this, the angel went to ask the kids and teens if you two could play with them.
You were totally ignoring your phone ringing in your pocket, too busy playing.
°
"Where the fuck were you guys?" Dean asked, looking up from his old book.
"We played hide and seek." Cass answered, putting the pie you bought in front of the blonde man.
"What?" Sam stopped what he was doing, confused. "Why are you wearing his trenchcoat?"
"It was too cold for her." The angel shrugged, putting your pumpkins on top of the table.
"I can't believe you were doing exactly what I said you shouldn't do!"
"No pie for you today, Dean." Cass grabbed the pie, still looking at him.
"What?!"
"Sorry, he gets me, I guess." You turned around to go after Cass laughing.
