Hello! I am a 22 year old woman converting into the Catholic faith, this is my journey!

This blog used to be a vent blog for me, a place to go to when I needed to just get everything out.

Now I'm using it to help strengthen my faith and inspire recovery.

I'm new to this, and still not mentally well. But I am striving to be better everyday, and striving to listen to the Lord and his plan.

stop villanizing disabled people. stop assuming we're just being lazy. stop assuming we could be trying harder. stop assuming that we'll "feel better" in a few weeks. stop assuming that we have the same energy levels as everyone else. thanks for coming to my ted talk.

corollary, stop assuming someone can't have a problem because they're young or healthy or whatever. stop assuming someone's overplaying something to get out of an activity when you have absolutely nothing to support that conclusion. stop thinking that because you can do something that other person can, too, and if they say they can't they're just not trying hard enough. stop acting like pain and fatigue are limited to older people. stop acting like struggles are a finite resource, and because you've got pain that means someone else doesn't have it.
