This was scheduled to be posted last December 31 but due to technical difficulty(loss of internet connection -_-) I am sharing this tonight.
Few nights ago, I got to watch the New Year's Eve in HBO. It's a movie directed by the same person who directed the Valentine's Day, both movies feature a large ensemble of cast. Between the two, I must say NY eve has a better story. I just love the characters and the series of events that will keep you guessing what will happen next, who is with who and etc. On top of all, the message it implies is just legen----wait for it----dary. Favorite scene? When Hilary Swank gave her speech. Maybe it's because the year is about the end and the message caught my attention, which is why I am making this reflection kinda thing. According to Claire Morgan(Swank), new years are supposed to be the time to reflect about the year that went by. And that's excatly what I'm going to do
There are only hours to go before I bid goodbye to the year that has given me so much to ponder. 2013 seems to be the longest year in my 16 years of existence. It's the year when I left my alma mater and opened my door to the stressful yet fun life of college. The year when I realized not everyone can stay in my life forever and that instead of focusing on the people who left me, why not welcome those who enter in my life to make it worthwhile.
To be honest, I can't believe how I've changed this past year, I think "how much I've grown" are the proper words. Maturity has become me! Well, kinda. lol I'm getting there. Almost. I don't care whatcha say but I am proud coz I now know how to budget my allowance. Wow. Haha huge accomplishment! :D Talking about accomplishment, the biggest one so far is discovering my curiosity and sudden love for my field. It was a bumpy start, I am hoping to end this smoothly. :) Anyways, I also tried cooking. but unfortunately my cooking skills are very poor.. Still no future there =( But as I always say, at least I tried, at least I took the risk. Gosh, I sound so old now! Haha.
2013 may be a year of heartbreak for me but it is by far, the most awesome year. Why? If it wasn't for the mistakes, the disappoinments, the problems that I went through, I wouldn't have known how incredible God really is. I've learned that if we just surrender everything to Him, there's nothing that we need to worry about. Trust and have faith in Him, everything will fall into place just as He planned. There are no words that can describe how amazing He is. I love you, Lord :)
I must admit, I made a ton of mistakes this 2013. I took some very important things for granted. I even hurt some people. And God knows how sorry I am.. Clearly, I can't go back and undo them but I am sure I can do better this 2014. After all, new year means new chance, right?
It's almost time.. 2013 is going to be just a year full of memories. Thank you for everything! I'm leaving you behind, but I will never forget to look back. :)
2014, let's get this show started!
