Hello person having transgender thoughts but convinced they aren't trans because they don't have the requisite amount of dysphoria they think they need

Hi I transitioned without even thinking I had dysphoria. Like later in hindsight I can go "oh that's probably what it was" but for the first year of my transition I was straight up like "I like being a guy but I like being a girl WAY more" and you can do that!! There is no prerequisite amount of suffering needed to make yourself happier.

Can we just say abuser again. “Narcissist” this “narc abuse” that, and then 90% of the time people just describe regular abuser behavior.

“It’s a classic tactic for narcissists to take away something you care about and then give it back and expect gratitude” you mean it’s a classic tactic for abusers. That is not some special strategy that only narcissists use, it’s literally just manipulation. Manipulation is a classic abusive behavior.

I am begging people to understand that abuse is a pattern of behaviors that anyone can fall into, not some special separate group that you can neatly label and separate yourself from.

I feel like some of you guys think "bad art" is like someone gluing rhinestones to a water melon, or a guy who made his own armchair out of Ohio license plates, or a trashy romance novel where someone says "the blue-eyed one kissed the brown-eyed one," when in reality bad art is a 1000000 Billion Dollar movie where none of the workers got paid and every single creative decision was market tested to see how lucrative of a profit it could foreseeably make to wow shareholders.

Obsessed with the contrast between Suvi "touching the world changes you" and Steel "No. We touch the world. We change it."

It immediately made me think of the end of Arc 2, when Suvi says:

"I cast mage armor. And the light that reflects and refracts off of her, over her, if you knew, if you watched the interplay of Aurora Borealis lights dancing across the invisible glass, you would know that that is Steel's armor. This is a wizard of the Citadel, and she is coming, with all the strength of her home behind her, and she looks out and forward, and any bit of snow that touches her clothing, or her face, or her hair melts away immediately, I will not be touched by this world, or any other, without my permission again."

When Suvi tried to avoid being touched by the world, it is specifically Steel's armor that she dons. Well before we knew explicitly that that was Steel's worldview, it was being demonstrated by the actions of the characters. This is a) such an interesting ideological divide, and b) an incredible demonstration of the way this group of storytellers is building their characters, other characters, and the world itself in parallel through their choices. I'll never get over how incredible this storytelling is.

if things have felt a little light (as if anyone but me Really notices when i'm light) it is because it's pretty damn hard to focus on and enjoy making porn when there's the looming threat of payment processors hanging over my head. if you're on bluesky, you've probably seen a lot of talk about visa and mastercard being pressured, and that's GOOD! it's good that they're being pressured.

but it can't just be them! paypal and stripe are just as guilty of censoring sellers, and i haven't seen nearly as much energy put toward them. unfortunately, artists are at higher risk of retaliation if they call in themselves, but YOU, as customers, can make a huge difference putting pressure on them for us! please consider making a call today, tomorrow, and however long it takes until something changes! i want to live in a world where i can post atra menta's nipples and just not worry about it!
