Right now on Japanese Disney+ there’s a show where robot lesbians just openly talk about going down on each other like 5 different times an episode. This show is not on USA’s Disney+. Asian attitude on LGBT+ stuff, whether it’s China or elsewhere in Asia, has no impact on USA’s content. Although this is mostly true, what isn't true is that Hollywood execs don't edit out LGBT+ representation to be able to sell them in Asian countries. They do. However, it is not down to Asian people being more or less homophobic than anywhere else in the world. It's down to governments like the CCP creating homophobic laws that drastically limit LGBT+ representation in media that can be shown in China with strange wordings like not being allowed to present any man doing anything that could be considered unmanly or feminine. Which also impacts national LGBT+ entertainment.

That's not to say that western entertainment is perfect, it's horrifically homophobic and will happily tank any LGBT+ representation if it means they can use it as an excuse to never make LGBT+ content again. Plus how Hollywood treats any actually LGBT+ actors is bad.
