I started watching Hlvrai because of the fanart. And while I am glad I watched it and now love the Hlvrai series. I have never been more disappointed in my life with what the actual series was.

PSA / RANT about AI art and stolen fanart sold in Etsy shop [FEAR&HUNGER/OTHER FANDOMS]
Hi everyone, this isnt something I normally like to post, but this is something I am very sad about and its gonna be a long winded rant and I apologize if formatting comes off weird, I don't post a-lot.
The main focus of this is about the use of Ai, but i needed to bring up the stolen fanart as well.
On Etsy I recently came across these wicked looking sweaters for the game Fear and Hunger. They depict the sigils of Sylvian, Gro-goroth, Rher, the God of the Depths and the God of Fear and Hunger. I was very excited untill I noticed none of the designs matched up-
Gro-goroth isn't on his sweater and it is just skeletons, and why is the Rher sweater just a massive image of an anime looking pocket cat, why not put his sigil on the front like the others?
But the arms on the God of Fear and hunger jacket IMMEDIATELY raised the Ai red flag for me!
These jackets/sweaters go for (when not on sale) 150$... on sale they are still about 85$-91$, so the fact that you arent even getting someone's work is brutal... it has made many sales and I'm sure that those people are very happy with their sweaters, but as someone who almost bought into this I would be pissed to find this info out after the fact.
I am very frustrated as F&H clothes would be so awesome to have, I love the games art/aesthetics, and I don't understand why the person couldn't have just photo edited the art from the game as they already did with the sigils, and the image used for Sylvian which is just ripped from the game already.(tho with an Ai filter over it... like Sylvians proper left tentacle disappears behind her on the sweater and the rest of it comes from a weird spot behind her back??? Also what is that mass on the proper left sleeve supposed to be?)
I am very disappointed. Ontop of ALL that, it led me down the weird rabbit hole of this persons shop? The bio reads like its an ebook/metaphysical shop and never acknowledes F&H as well as the stolen fanart plastered on hoodies which is a whole other can of beans...
I don't normally shop on Etsy as i know of its lack of action against shops like these selling stolen fanart and Ai crap, but searching for the merch led me here and if you're like me and get excited about your niche fandoms merch than you might not even realize the weird stuff in this store until you've spent grocery money on it.
This is all I really had to say, it makes me very sad, and I hope in the future, we get cool F&H clothes that are made by cool artists.
If you've read this far, please leave your favorite F&H artists who sell their stuff in the comments or reblogs as I want to celebrate and support my fellow F&H folk who make cool shit!! Or if you have a legit Etsy shop even without any F&H stuff! I want this to be used as a way to empower artists voices against the shit thats taking up space here.
Not sure how else to finish this post, just keep an eye out for Ai stuff, it's getting better at hiding... much love!
