I would love to get a reading from you if it’s available.
My question is: what is my best self like? How can I reach it? Thank you so much! 🌷
Hello Flora :)
It's a pleasure to read for you, especially with the type of question you put forth. You reflecting on such questions says you're in the process of creation and in the process of learning about and letting go of what isn't aligned with you at core levels.
The creative process, order, making production and products, all come out of chaos whether it be the chaos of choosing the possibilities and then taking action to bring it all together, what goes upon that blank page, what do we give up if we choose this, what must we sacrifice, what am I creating here and why, where do I want to go.
Such creative phases can be born out of collapse-difficult life circumstances, turbulence, conflict, need, how we relate to ourselves and others, experiences that challenge our perspectives, beliefs, values, what feels heavy and what sets our souls on fire without burning ourselves down or others or situations, that not only serves our greater good but others to, where can we be of service, what do we have to offer, what settles out of the mistakes or bad situations, what did we learn, the substance, what substance do we create from from now on based on past experiences, where do we put our energy and focus, in what ways are we fulfilled and how do we interact and make change outside of ourselves as well.
We are partial creators and there are various possibilities and actions we can take, paths we can explore and choose, but what do we give up choosing this? Are we putting consistent energy into making our dreams and best self a possibility? What things we can wear further learn about that will help us, gathering knowledge as we go, learning, experiential wisdom and ways to connect and relate. All these possibilities can be overwhelming for those who are reflective and want to consciously create. Especially if we feel if we choose one, then that eliminates others, when we feel choosing limits us.
The central theme, or polarity in your current situation, is the 6 of Swords and Knight of Pentacles; they work together or oppose each other depending on your specific situation and in various ways they do both.
The energies represented in these cards create the push-pull of you and situations around you, what is the situation. I would say you've been through some stuff and have left some things behind.
You have Knight of Pentacles energy to work with now. S/he is practical, methodological, takes their time, knows most things take working practically, step-by-step, maybe not seeing fast progress, but a steady, dependable energy is needed. Someone who is grounded with patience and habits that support long-term growth. That's a good card to see to make real physical changes as you are the knight in your own story and journey. The Knight being in the crossing position also tells me that characteristics of the knight of pentacles may be challenging for you too, being like the knight of pentacles may be a struggle for you when you just want to be the knight of cups all the time.
The energy of the knight of pentacles is what will help you develop your best self. It is part of it.
Right above in your mental or energies coming down from above, into the central 1st two cards, you have the Knight of Cups. This can tell me different things. On a more practical note and in combination with the 6 of Swords, I would say maybe you have left or been effected by a relationship, one that pulled your heart strings and was intense on an emotional and romantic, idealistic level. You had an idealized version of things. The good was really good, but the waves were very choppy. It looks like you're now choosing a less active and intense energy with the knight of pentacles, that you need a solid secure place within yourself before you move forward, that you need to create those habits and rely on the characteristics of the knight of pentacles even if the energy isn't as fun or energizing.
The 10 of Swords at the root, why your asking such a question shows outside events caused a phase of life, an era, to come to an end. You've been cast out of that situation, relationship, job, city, way of being, beliefs, whatever it may be, due to the toll it took on you and your body and health, well-being. When we see the 10 of Swords, it's good to remember that over the dune or hill the sun is rising. In the Light Seer's deck, the artist depicts this as standing in poor soil in some ways but being in such deprived, barren soil circumstances, our thoughts are most important right now if you want to follow your best self.
The Knight of Pentacles reminds us that our best self is a journey and not a destination. S/he creates a plan and sticks to slowly working towards it, even when the pace seems too slow and s/he's not seeing the results or where s/he's heading clearly yet. They have faith if they stick to their tried and true habits, what has always attracted or inspired you even when it seems less than glamorous, this builds character and helps you see your best self is always there.
The 10 of Swords is a card of letting go and being in silence after major shake-downs in life, after events of life stabbing you in the back. When we see how things and the way we relate to them or our perception of them is different than what is and outside of us is dysfunctional and keeping us down, our best self doesn't sacrifice ourselves in situations and relationships that tear us down rather than lift us up.
According to the energy at play in your reading, you're still in the in-between time, still processing what you left behind and what direction you want to go in next. This is an uncomfortable but necessary part of learning about the best parts of yourself. The key is to give yourself love and see the positive in the negatives.
The 7 of Swords in the energies-events you are currently moving away from suggests something was taken from you, that path-direction-situation-relationship-job path-group of friends, whatever all it may be, was or feels futile. Because you're going through an important purging of things not in-line with your best self, you feel disconnected from your best self.
The 7 of Swords is a more passive, under the shadow type card, secret behaviors or under the surface fears of losing yourself or your things to a situation or person. A card of things going on out of our awareness. The fear of being seen or not seeing things as they really are. Or the fear that just because one isn't perfect or has things they feel they failed at that they are disconnected from their best self.
With the Knight of Cups over you, part of your higher self, you live and go with what attracts you, what pulls on your heart-strings in the moment. You idealize and romanticize everything. See situations, them, and/or yourself through heart-shaped glasses and when a course of action, a relationship, others, job, something doesn't work out, a personal failure or mistake, whatever it may be, you feel you're not living with your best self when all of it is part of what will facilitate you finding what is most aligned with your values and how you want to be in the world, how you want to serve.
This is a reminder to bring love to yourself and those hard teaching situations and your best self will still be with you, you don't lose that, it can't be taken from you, you're not the bad things that happen or less than when something doesn't work out or becomes hard and unpleasant, tedious and you have to move on, not on flights of emotions, but on what you know to be best for you.
This is about finding the silver linings and what makes you feel alive, what draws you. You're best self doesn't allow bad past experiences to harden you, but reminds you it all is part of the journey. We all contain multitudes and shadow aspects and its all a part of us to embrace, give love to, bring up from the shadows and hug, when we can do that, we see the best of ourselves.
You're best self honors all events that have shaped you, the good, the bad and the ugly, show us the truth or makes us go through discomfort and pain, that re-aligns us with what it means to love yourself as much as we love whatever we put our energy into, those experiences are opportunities to re-align to what is best, what brings us joy, what serves others without depleting or losing ourselves.
Here are energies currently at play in your life that will help:
Knight of Pentacles: Slow, steady progress. New people. New experiences. Common sense. Dependability. Patience. Perseverance. Time heals. Protecting oneself and methodological work. Service. Reliable steady energy. Establishing habits and routines. Simple character and enjoyments. Nature. Boundaries. Loyal friends. Hard-working person with a plan. Not getting discouraged by the slow nature when work isn't showing quick results. Keep with it.
Knight of Cups: New relationships. New experiences. Holiday with friends. A new love. Empathy. Kindness. Intuition. Art. Music. Dance. Follow what makes your heart sing and your bliss and dreams while also employing the knight of pentacles energy to not be seduced too quickly and work with intention, with habit, with a plan to make what you feel the most passion for a reality.
