In some weird alternate universe, the destruction of his village made Midas a combat instructor at Beacon Academy. However, he’s still stern, cold but a fair teacher that gets his point across.

"Now…" He took out his pointer. "Who would wants to volunteer for today’s lesson?" Midas lashes his pointer at a nearby desk " How about you?"

The crocodile Faunus looks up from his drawing. He seems somewhat startled, pulled so suddenly from his own world. “Eh? Do you mean me, Professor?” His accent is heavy and difficult to understand at times.

"It would be…eh…honor…to be part of demonstration."

"Quickly child, stand at the center of the stage with your weapon" He pointed at the area the student need to be.

Alistair didn’t flinch at the outburst, through he felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise. Heart beginning to speed up he shook his head sadly. “I see our conversation is coming to a close. I am sorry that you feel death is your only alternative.” He took a step forward. “I will not allow you to hurt another, not while I still draw breath.”

He quickly drew himself in a battle ready position "Why must a fowl huntsman desecrate this area with their foots steps?"

Zane bit the hand that had the grip on his throat and started kneeing Midas in his chest till the grip around his throat tightened. He was struggling for air at this point and he closed his eyes expecting this to be the end for him. Not before a blade slashed through the hand that was around Zane’s throat. Zane opened his eyes to see a clone of Dalin vanish as the real Dalin had his weapon pointed at the back of the man’s head at point blank… "…Zane… By no means does this change anything…" Dalin looked at Zane whom was gasping for air and tossed him Aki’s whip which he had taken from Midas a midst his clone’s attack. He grabbed Midas’ Injured hand and tightened his grip on it, as it bled out. Zane stood up and picked up Aki’s whip. “It’s name is Rising Sun by the way…” he stated as he stumbled a bit. "I can’t hold him for long Zane…" Dalin stated… “His Aura… It’s nothing like any Aura I’ve ever dealt with…” Zane picked up his weapon. “What are you waiting for? Kill him…” Dalin ordered him. “…No…Not after all of this… It wouldn’t make me any better than him if I were to kill him right now…” he walked past them. “I’m going to find you again when I become a hunter and then we’ll end this… You have my word there… Then you’ll get every pleasure of killing me or visa versa… Who knows maybe by then you’ll actually be more than just pure rage… Dalin… We have to go… Our team needs us…”

There was a sharp pain in Midas. Not that he lost a hand. Not by the fact that a trophy was taken by him, but he lost....to a mere child. A light smirked appeared in his face

"You won't live to that stage..."

He discharged his remaining aura to send another shockwave that covered the area. When the smoke cleared, he was at edge of the clearing, gripping his dismembered hand. 

"You just started a conflict you cannot win..." 

Within an instant he dashed off in distance, but not before activating his fail safe of burning the the forest down and to trap them in it. He started to regain control of his injured hand and grasped his wound in his right arm. Thoughts went through his head, he's going to need allies, mindless fools who are willing to tire his enemies out while he comes in for the finishing blow. Perhaps...it was time for him to meet this "Roman" fellow.

The rain had came to a stop when the attack ended. Zane’s eyes had reverted back to normal when he was lashed in the face with Aki’s whip. He stood up, now being heavily exhausted from the large amount of aura he had used. He shot each of the copies of Midas that approached him and huffed tiredly. Would this be it for him… He had used almost all of his energy and even then it wasn’t enough… He had to press on though… He made a promise to his teammate… No his friend, that he would get her weapon back… He readied his stance to fight even more… But not before laughing slightly. “You know… You yourself are a sort of hypocrite… You know… People like you… People like you are the reason I want to be a hunter… Not just because of Grimm or anything… But because people like you take pleasure in other’s misery… You’re only just making more enemies for yourself, the more you attack us…” Zane shook his head. “You want to stop hunters? Well killing us isn’t gonna stop us… We’ll just keep coming back till you’re dead… You’re not any better than any villain in any of the stories I read… Always so arrogant and misguided… So cold and emotionless… But really what it all comes down to, is that you’re probably nothing more than a scared little boy who doesn’t have his Mommy and Daddy anymore…” Zane finally regained his composure as the smokescreen cleared and looked at Midas in the eyes with a hateful glare. [This is the part where you get angry…] he thought to himself.

Meanwhile his team was finally recovering from their encounter, well save for Aki who had a wound that wouldn’t easily be healed by her aura… "Dalin… I know that you hate Zane… But he’s our leader… You have to go back for him…" Brooke explained… "I’ll stay here and watch Aki… Just… Make sure you bring Zane back alive okay?" she looked at him sternly, not that he could see her expression. "… Got it…" Dalin responded as he dashed off into the forest to find Zane before he got himself killed…

"take pleasure in other’s misery" He shook his head while his palm covered his forehead. A vile crackle echo his mouth 

"BWHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA. You really think I get a kick out of that kind of shit?"

The duplicates rushed toward Zane to mask the real on as Midas quickly approached him. His left hand batted off the blade not caring if he made the injury worse.He quickly rushed toward Zane to grab him by the neck yet again, this time he used his injured left to secure Zane's arms. 

"scared little boy...everyone assumes that.....No child...I was full of rage that day...." This grip was made tighter as he attempted to strangle Zane

"Excuse me?" He utterly more puzzled by her question. He never expect someone to seem him as a celebrity

"You know? An autograph," Euridice said somewhat confused before grinning. "Writing down your name and maybe a small excerpt so I can have something tangible with the memory."

"Never thought I’d meet the Scourge of Hunters here~" she squealed.

He lowered his weapon, normally he’s a cold man who refuse such request, but he found some use to this.Perhaps he can gain an ally for his plan. He faintly grasp the pen and wrote a delicate signature that read out “Midas”.

“Scourge of Hunters" He thought to himself. There was a slight sense of glee in that thought. At least someone’s acknowledging his…"work"

Twin pigtails bounced in glee as Euridice carefully folded the parchment in half and deposited it back into her satchel with an excited fervor, all the while saying “Thank you thank you~” The girl’s grin could practically light up the night sky at this point.

The branch he held reverted back to his original state. If any sudden movements were made, he could always just give a good smash.

"What business do you have with me besides a signature?"

Midas can handle his drinks very well…though he isn’t the type of guy you want to be around when he’s drunk. When he has had a few drinks his aggression will rise and use the the most unlikely objects as weapons.

Standoff (Closed RP with Ask-a-rwby-huntress

"This child’s speed is phenomenal.." 

He struggled to get a sense of Ruby’s direction until he noticed the shadow above him. Reach his arm out, he amplified the strength of the staff to withstand the parry.  

Leaping off the staff, she pointed her scythe downward and fires multiple shots of her black cross bullets, utilizing the last of her rounds to try to cripple the attacker. Landing on the ground, sliding away from him, she paused to see the aftermath.

A hand emerged out the small crater as the smoke cleared. Though he did his best to guard himself against the shots, the damage took a toll on him. He climbed out shambling, gripping his left arm, not being able to feel it. Blood dripping out of his forehead, flowing past his eyes. Midas couldn't get a grip on his vision.

"I....will not......be....defeated by a mere child....."

Alistair jumped back, lifting up his weapons to fire but paused at his foes tone. He lowered the rifles every so slightly. Though he was certain he knew,...

"I know what it is like to have your parents taken from you." Alistair said, his voice soft but beginning to rise. "To watch your home burn. To have everything you hold dear stripped from you. I know that feeling of helplessness that never truly goes away... but you have to see the madness in your actions!" Alistair was yelling by this point. "You kill because you think it will give you some sense of peace? All you are doing is helping create more pain! What if that Hunter you killed could have saved a village just like yours?" Alistair took a moment to collect himself. "You're not avenging them."

"It's not about avenging....."

He quickly brokea rusty lamppost and amplified it. His voice finally broke

"IT'S ABOUT TELL PEOPLE TO DO THEIR FUCKING JOBS RIGHT"

The sounds of his rage echoed across the rotting village.

Midas noted the heavy rain

"A weapon is an extension of who we are, it’s a part of us" He quoted Zane while he looked at his palm as his aura started to gleam.

"You’re one the reasons why I despise hunters.."

Within a second he quickly rushed at Zane with a barrage of powerful attacks with the broadsword and the staff 

With his voice…finally broke

“duty is to uphold the peace in Vytal? What utter bullshit. YOU FAIL TO ACT. HUNTERS ARE THE REASON WHY I LOST EVERYTHING”

He launched one last powerful, all out strike

Zane blocked all of his attacks but was hit by the last one, getting sent flying backwards into a tree, knocking over.

"…So you’re telling me… That you’re pissed off because we messed up and ruined your life?" Zane stood up and grit his teeth, blood dripping from his head now. "That’s no excuse… Not every hunter is the same! We each take the same oath, yes… But each of us as an individual are different!" he yelled at him. "Sure we all make mistakes but that’s what makes us human… That’s no good reason to make it your personal vendetta against us hunters just because of the past… The future is different and so are we, as individuals… Maybe the other hunters failed to do that… But I wont… You’re an obstruction to peace… And it’s my duty as a hunter to take you down!" Zane huffed tiredly in resolve before a bolt of lightning struck him directly… Strangely enough it didn’t kill him… Instead his lightning changed from yellow to blue and his eyes had changed as well…

He dashed at the man with intense speed and slashed at him once, before teleporting and slashing at him again, with each slash his teleport speed increased to the point where he was teleporting all around Midas slashing him all around before he teleported a distance away and a lightning bolt struck his weapon, turning it bright blue as he dashed towards Midas getting ready to stab him directly.

He gritted his teeth harder with each slash. Rage and annoyance dulled the pain. Midas reached out his hand and stop the blade...with his palm, impaling right through until it hit the hilt of blade.

"I grew tired of this game child."

With a quick grasp, he gripped the handle not caring about the pain. Pulling out Aki's whip with his free hand, gave a lashed Zane's face, following up his attack by throwing Zane across the field as the blade slid through his hand

"You're just like the other like the other hunters....full of contrived beliefs..."

"I'M DOING VYTAL A FAVOR"

He stomped the ground to create a large smokescreen from the dirt and channeled his aura to manifest copies of himself.

He quickly reached out his hand and channeled his aura to create a barrier. Taking a couple steps back while generating the shield, he pulled out a staff/shotgun and went for a couple of jabs with an opening he saw. 

(OOC-SHIT’S GETTING INTENSE~!) 

Quickly zipping around the area, a shotgun was nothing compared to the amount of speed she displayed. She shot multiple blasts of cross shots from every angle around him until she leaped in from directly above him, slashing downward with a shot to increase speed.
