Someone in the replies went on a long lecture that ultimately asked what makes this any better than a normal double sided axe with a handle and the answer is: because it looks cool and is rare. I've seen a lot of people chopping wood with a normal axe and it's pretty alright (sometimes it's very good). I've chopped wood with a normal axe and I hated it, but if I can chop wood with a normal axe most people can do that. But I've only seen one person chop wood with a flail axe, and it looked cool, and I certainly couldn't do that, and I don't think many other people could do that either.

Also because a flail axe is MUCH more effective at causing me to go away than a normal axe. If I saw someone on the opposing team wielding this in a battle, I would simply leave. I would be finished with that battle. The person using this thing is either skilled and in control enough with it to be effective or mad enough to think they are (and let's face it the latter is more likely), and either one of those is too dangerous for me. No thank you! I will be stabbed with a normal sword at a later date.
