You should tell us more about what it was like being in GMD3 and having 3eeks 3 and 1/2 years ago and just basically talk about your past :) xx
Topic Suggestion blog: I'm glad you mentioned it!
I won't go in too depthy because we could be here forever.
So here it goes, what it was like being in GMD3:
To be honest the startup happened so fast, we were walking down the street singing and pretty much decided to make a band.
Was Gregs' birthday and we pretty much did some covers and took things from there. Thinking about it, it pretty much started before we had time to think. So we had a lot of train journeys back and fourth from Gregs' and mine, Dan came and stayed and live between ours for 2 months, then the Dan lived at mine for 6 months. Was fun times, it seemed to go quick, writing and really developing ourselves, something that I'm so happy about now. So we would do covers as you've possibly seen and write songs unreleased, that's where my filming and producing and our writing really came into early stages of development. I think without those key stages there would be no chance of anything like we're capable now. And I think like anything time is important, really trying to learn something takes time. We were keen.
Anyway, we got management, meetings happened, LA - NY , all very exciting but lots of disappointments, seems like it was a 'Yes' at the time and after a few weeks became and 'No' - so we became accustomed to essentially the word 'No'. And one thing I've learnt from meetings is that, it don't mean anything until pen hits to paper. So, that's a lot of the behinds the scenes side, of course X-Factor, tour and schools tour came, I really could go on forever. But I don't wanna' bore you.
So to the best part, the 3eeks.
Simply the best, the support we had was amazing! Something I'm proud of and what I think the 3eeks and us did was pave the way for online bands after the Wanted in a fun playful manner and had fun in our videos - I guess we see that a lot today. Yes I did blow our own trumpets... No it doesn't happen often, so please don't judge me. So anyway what was odd and still remains very odd is that someone would recognise us in the street or somewhere. Coming from no-where and starting this in our rooms to something I guess after X-Factor was strange, but one thing was consistently always there for us: The 3eeks, literally the best feeling arriving somewhere and seeing familiar faces, it made the unknown location or meeting have a sense of familiarity I guess, it was a nice feeling. It feels like it flew past so fast, I can't remember too much about anything really, little specific things like making of Lazy Song and U-smile but one thing I remember was a lot of late nights and overnights with not sleeping for 2 days whilst recording and editing did happen, I was so unbelievably tired, but deadlines are deadlines. >.<
I hope this answers a fraction of your question, because I don't think I could ever complete this fully without writing a full on essay. x
