Sanghis somehow managed to find hinduphobia in nepal protests too. Because pashupatinath temple was vandalised.. but the protestors who did it (they because it is a national symbol and popular tourist spot) were literally hindus. nepal is literally a hindu country how can an entirely hindu country be hinduphobic? 😂
It's called eternal victimhood disease.
Okay but hear me out,,,, something something ofc the Indian sanghis—or should I say the government—would be panicking about the changes that could happen in Nepal. When Nepal turned secular back in 2006, ditching its identity as the “world’s only Hindu kingdom,” Yogi Adityanath literally held protests against it, warning that it would erode Hindu identity. For the Sangh, it wasn’t just Nepal’s decision; it was a symbolic loss for their larger Hindutva project. That panic hasn’t gone away. Even before, you could see attempts by right-wing circles to frame Nepali protests, debates, and secular policies as “Hinduphobic,” (such as what anon said) trying to repackage Nepal’s pluralism as some kind of attack on Hinduism itself.
In August 2015, Yogi, who was then Gorakhpur MP, had visited Nepal and addressed a gathering of around 10,000 people demanding reinstating Nepal's status as a Hindu nation. Talking to TOI then, he had said: "I did demand declaring Nepal a Hindu rashtra as it was before, ban on cow slaughter and religious conversion." He had even written a letter to then Nepal PM Sunil Koirala demanding the same. Therefore, whenever a voice for reinstating Nepal as a Hindu nation is raised, Goraksh Peeth head priest comes into picture. The Sunday incident was no different. The huge crowd that was present to welcome Gyanendra's return to Kathmandu after three months and the presence of Yogi's posters, a sign of support to Nepal as a Hindu nation, aligned with what Yogi had said then..
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's posters at a rally in Kathmandu supporting the former Nepal king sparked a stir, highlighting the historica

And beneath the religious angle lies a bigger geopolitical anxiety. A secular, democratic Nepal is less predictable as a “Hindu ally” and far more open to alternative alignments, especially with China. The Maoist movement already rattled Delhi back then (i think...), and India has always been nervous about Beijing creeping closer to Kathmandu. For the Sangh—or maybe it’s better framed as the broader Indian establishment, whether imperialist, capitalist, or just deeply invested in regional hegemony—the nightmare scenario isn’t just losing symbolic ground (a Hindu kingdom turning secular), but also losing strategic ground (Nepal tilting toward China, inviting foreign investment or military cooperation, while India’s traditional sphere of influence shrinks). That’s why the panic comes dressed both in saffron robes and in the language of “national security”: a fusion of Hindutva identity crisis and geopolitical paranoia.
A survey of imperialist intrigue in Nepal, from the British Raj to “global China”
it’s textbook anxiety projection. The second Nepal sneezes politically, the right-wing ecosystem in India catches a cold and starts screaming about “Hinduphobia” or “threats to Hindu identity.”
So now, whenever there’s a protest in Nepal—be it about governance, economics, or foreign policy—the right-wing narrative machine in India is ready to swoop in, reframe it as “anti-Hindu” or “influenced by hostile forces,” and use it to stir up panic back home. Indian media, especially the hyper-nationalist channels, love that spin because it fits their eternal script: Hindus under siege, culture under attack, enemies at the gates. But also with a geopolitical anxiety attack. But of course they won't outwardly admit that so the anti-Hindu frame is the easiest route for them.
The moment I came across a tiktok comment about a protest happening in Nepal under the post of an Indonesian protest, I knew. I knew this would happen.
They also have such a weird thing with Srilanka? Except they go all "It's a Buddhist country, and it must be protected and its losing it's culture to the invaders," like dude. What are you talking about?
Sri Lanka is already overwhelmingly Buddhist, but instead of acknowledging the island’s real, messy political and ethnic history—civil war, Tamil struggle, authoritarianism—Sanghi voices flatten it into a fantasy of “Buddhist heritage under threat.” Never mind that Buddhism is the majority religion there, and the actual problem is often Buddhist majoritarianism suppressing minorities.
Afghanistan gets mythologised in another way. They mourn it as “lost Hindu-Buddhist land,” talking about Bamiyan Buddhas or ancient Gandhara as if history froze in that golden age. But the living Afghanistan of today multi-ethnic, Islamic, scarred by decades of war—is written off. Instead, they slot it into a narrative of victimhood: “Look at what was stolen from us.”
It's like they are universalising their insecurities, treating neighboring countries like cultural chess pieces.
Nepal must stay Hindu to validate Hindutva’s project. Sri Lanka must stay Buddhist so India can claim to be the “protector of dharmic faiths.” Afghanistan must be mourned as proof of a permanent civilizational wound.
Don't even get me started on Indian zionists....
Or maybe I am just going insane, and being paranoid about this. I could be very wrong and overthinking in many cases so please feel free to correct me !!! I am not well-versed in politics and might have used the wrong terminology to explain my point of view. Or it might be very simplified.
talking to a bjp supporter is the most frustrating thing in the world. These bitches are fifty but have the memory of a goldfish. Why are you telling me to read indian history bhenchod/bhaichod have you read indian history? like you won't see me batting for kings or religions but come the fuck on.

I saw that the idiotic transbill got passed in lok sabha. I am soo sorry to everyone who's gonna be affected by it.
As a cis person is there any way I can formally oppose this, like is there any petition I can sign or something like that.
And to all the Indian trans folks reading this, don't lose out on hope. The bill is not a law yet. It'll go to rajyasabha and then to courts. Let us hope it gets rejected in rajyasabha. And as far as I am aware one can also file public interest litigation against the bill then.
KEEP FIGHTING!!
Okay so this is very urgent; I am back from the dead just to say this.

usually i kinda sideeye when people say 'xyz have (a high concentration of) hitler particles' because they're just saying things as a memebut let me tell you. so many of the (uc, as far as I have seen) hindu indians ive met are truly full of hitler particles and by that I mean the main problem they have with hitler is that they think he culturally appropriated race science from hindus. mein kampf is a book on par with how to win friends and influence people here
This is wholely my fault for being on reddit but every five fucking seconds I see a post that's like 'why do women say they believe in x but then do (thing that contradicts x)' like idk man maybe it's because you're talking about two different women? because women are not a monolith? or maybe you're talking about one woman who happens to be a hypocrite, y'know, like 90% of people on earth
also these posts are usually an excuse to women gold diggers, and they are on an indian subreddit (won't name names). anyone who knows how women in india have been barred from both the workforce and education opportunities knows this is an especially heinous statement to make. I should be allowed to use psychic beams to kill people through the internet

may 2026 bring us closer to a Palestine liberated from zionist occupation, and a Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan free from proxy exploitation. May 2026 see more people gain the courage to make the world a little better than before. May we all remember to tend seeds whose trees we may never sit beneath. Consider donating to/sharing The Sameer Project, or Khartoum Aid Kitchen or Focus Congo. All power to all the people. Happy new year.
I really have zero patience with the whole "man vs. bear" / "you're alone in an elevator with three adult men BUT you feel completely safe. Who are they" / "male night joggers are the natural predator of female night joggers" thing. Like, it's jokes, but it's also sincere, and it reinforces the idea that it's normal and good for women to be afraid all the time, especially of men.
It is not good for women to be afraid all the time, and we should not encourage it! When you consume a media diet of mostly true crime, buy a surveillance device for your house, and commiserate with the girlies online about how scary it is to see a man in a public place, you are basically cultivating an anxiety disorder. This will make your life more unpleasant, because you have trained yourself to be scared all the time, and it will not benefit you, because your fears are based on memes, not reality. You're not protecting yourself from anything; you're just giving yourself an extra flinch response.
And it plays right into the hands of conservatives! The right wing would love it if all women, especially all white and/or wealthy women, were terrified to leave their houses alone because they might see a strange man. They want you to be on a quest for One Good Man who will protect you from all other men and to be too scared to go anywhere without him. They want you to be on a hair trigger, ready to call the cops on anyone who makes you uncomfortable, because that is your function within their hierarchy.
If you are a woman, especially a white woman, then your fear is used to justify violence against poor people and people of color, especially men. From the perspective of conservatives, this is what your fear is for. And your fear is, in large part, what you are for.
Don't let them use you. Don't cultivate your fear.
