Eat God is live on Kickstarter:
a tabletop roleplaying game about causing problems on purpose
Eat God is a (mostly affectionate) parody of all those tabletop RPGs about reality-warping martial artists with complete sentences for names on a quest to dethrone God, casting players as gender-ambiguous muppety things sticking it to the Man through the power of gratuitous cartoon violence. Using its extensive (and fully randomisable) character creation system, you might play as a blue-furred social justice advocate with detachable limbs; an amorphous, many-eyed horror with strong opinions about the nature of the cosmos; or a jet-powered telepathic crab whose interpretation of "eating God" is strikingly literal.
Backers will receive an expanded e-book version including illustrations, examples of play, bonus content, and (in the PDF version only) a professional full-colour layout. Alternatively, those with money to burn can pledge for a limited edition hardcover which will not be made available outside of this campaign. In either case, those who supported Eat God in early access via itch.io may receive special discounts – so if that's you, be sure to read the reward tiers carefully!
(Want to try before you buy, so to speak? You can download a free 160-page playtest draft from the game's itch.io page right now. You can also learn about and discuss current playtest activities on the Penguin King Games Discord, or give the beta version of the Online Character Generator a spin if you'd prefer to dive right in.)
Just twelve hours to go, folks.
Six hours now; there are no more stretch goals to hit, but that just means you can be confident you're getting everything there is to get!
Three hours left. Clock's ticking.
