Planting the Seed of Intention.
What Purpose does the Seedling Path Have?
The Seedling Path is your beginning along this journey. Here, your soul is represented by a seed of intention, which will someday become a mighty tree. Before looking ahead, though, we must nurture it now. We must prepare it to reach those heights by nurturing it properly and planning the journey ahead. This Path guides you through those steps.
You can find more with the free PDF copy of the Path found on our Google Drive, but in short, you will answer a series of questions to get you thinking about your innermost dreams and wishes—such as what inspired you in childhood, what you’ve always been drawn towards, and who you wish to become.
You’ll also create a vision board to manifest these ideas, and spend some time doing a devotion to yourself to complete your goals. You’ll take a look at the next step of the Path, as well (the Root Path) in order to prepare for what comes next.
In this way, you’ve properly set your intentions and can begin your path with more clarity. It’s as simple as that!
Why Should I Embark on the Path?
If you’re a practitioner on your path and looking to dig a bit deeper and with more intention than you thought possible, or if you are simply starting out your magical journey, the OAK Path could be for you. Either way, it is a completely free resource, so there is no downside to taking a look.
Additionally, if you’ve ever wondered what to study along your journey, this path will help you to construct the best suited curriculum for yourself. Enjoy and happy learning!
This Path will never tell you what to believe, it is merely a scaffolding for you to discover that yourself.
Tips for the Seedling Path
Don’t rush ahead. Take your time and nourish your seed of intention well.
Take time to really understand the Root Path, the next step. The intention of the Root Path is to explore new things, and so it is a large undertaking. You don’t need to collect all of the supplies you’ll use for it up front, but some is a good idea.
Do this Path in Peace. Finding a time and place where you feel safe and won’t be interrupted is key. Perhaps you print out the PDF to fill it out like a journal on a blanket at the park, or perhaps you do it tucked on your couch under a nice blanket with a warm cup of tea. Just as a seed rests before a storm of growth, allow yourself to. There is no prize for suffering or rushing.
Seek additional help. If you are having a hard time finding peace, try a Druidic style meditation. The Order of Bard, Ovates and Druids (OBOD) has plenty of free group meditations on their YouTube weekly called “Tea with a Druid” that I personally utilize for this when I’m extra stressed. Additionally, if you need help finding resources to prepare for the Root Path, contact your local librarian! They are here to help their communities—and you are a part of that community.
Have fun connecting with yourself, and be kind to yourself when that connection is difficult. Sometimes, we’ve come out of touch with our childhood selves and their wants. Sometimes our spirits feel locked away. If this is the case for you, be extra kind to yourself and allow your inner self the grace and safety to peek their head from their burrow, for they may have forgotten the exit even existed.
