Cold Blooded was mixed. But it was crying out for a guitar solo that was equal parts funky-as-hell and grungy-as-fuck. So who the hell else would you call but the cat who lays it down every night with George Clinton and the P Funk All-Stars?

Garrett killed it on the first take, of course. There was no, “could you just play it a little more orange?” “It’s nice, but we’re looking for something the kids will like.” Fuck all that. We knew StarChildJr was gonna knock it out of the park. With truly great musicians you just stand back and watch it all happen.

Chuck D Lends His Iconic Voice to "Bang Bang"

The incredible, rhyme animal, Public Enemy number one. You get the picture. Yes, that Chuck D. And he’s on the record. And he’s exactly where he belongs—on a song about how awful Trump is, and how people like Trump killed Martin Luther King Jr.

Chuck and Juice go way back—like fat crayons, Juice would say. They toured the world together and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Now Chuck roams the world astride the rock/rap behemoth that is Prophets of Rage.

Look out for the record this April. Well, don’t hold us to it exactly, but that’s when we’re planning to put it out. At this point it’s all recorded and half mixed. You know how that goes.
