How I look in the middle of the night thinking about The Outsiders and coming up with the plot for my next day dreams and scenarios
Iām connecting the dots into how I would fit into the story ifā¦ykā¦I just so HAPPENED to be alive 60 years ago and I just so HAPPENED to be in Tulsaā¦purely coincidental, right? (Rocking back and forth and pinning everything together like they do in crime shows š got me acting like an escaped mental patient)
the canada wildfires are making it so hazy outside where i am
trying to get him to quit is like trying to get the sun to stop shining (though the smoke is helping in that aspectā¦)
guess who got a 5 on her apush examā¦me!!!!
happy 4th!! friendly reminder that today wouldāve been the very first reaping for the first Hunger Games š„³ (Iām sobbing)
Dally ājumps small kids.ā
Dally ruining the junior high kidsā card game and leading his friends in chasing them.
Dally was arrested at the age of ten.
Dally seeing kids who look to be around ten/preteen, hanging out and playing and just being kids with a carefree look that he already lost by the time he was their age, and feeling a sudden surge of inexplicable rage.
So i started twttin and lemme tell ya, I was NOT ready for Johnny and Dally to be referred to as "a couple of kids who got killed". Horrid reminder that no matter how hard you try to make a name for yourself (Dally THE hood, Johnny "hero") if you die young, the world will never remember that you lived a while, too.
happy dilf day Matt daddy
I see so many people talking about the outsiders with takes that are genuinely so frustrating to me- like yes the Socs and Greasers were both groups that were just people who had their own struggles but at the same time. The socs struggles seemed super dumb to me. Iām sorry your rich, well connected, and spend your spare time picking on those less fortunate than you? Like- itās really hard to actually empathize with them as we donāt get to know most if them. I find the Greasers struggles much easier to empathize with as poor people who are doing what they can to exist in an area actively hostile towards them.
We meet a few girl Socs, and then a few would-be murders who did beat up kids. The people who compare Bob and Dally also really frustrate me. āThey were the sameā āYou canāt excuses oneās behavior and dislike the othersā, like, yes I can. Dally was a young, desperate, and poor kid. He was involved in some shady stuff, but we get to know him and how he cares about his own and we learn more about him than we ever did Bob. Bob was a rich kid whoās parents didnāt punish his behavior, and because of that he was terrible. They are not the same. And iām not excusing every action Dally made, he did make mistakes and behaved quite terribly to Cherry, but that is not the whole of his character!!
When Dally died I was sad for him, his friends, and the situation that led to his death; when Bob did i felt bad for the kids who killed him.
Maybe this is a dumb take but specifically itās the people who say you canāt like one while disliking the other that frustrates me. They are all complex characters, but you definitely can feel more empathy and like on character more than the other (especially if one literally tries to kill a couple of kids who you grow to know and like, and you still donāt really know who they are).
This exactly. The story shows greasersā struggles during their time, and why Bob and Dally are NOT the same, stop comparing them. Justice for Dally.
Pleaseeš
IT IS EVERYBODY BUT ME AT THIS POINT LIKE DAMN
Do you think you weren't loved enough?"
"Somewhere between 'not enough' and 'not at all. I was always hungry for love. Just once, I wanted to know what it was like to get my fill of it - to be fed so much love I couldn't take any more. Just once. But they never gave that to me. Never, not once.

omg I love him bru
awww , so cute !!!! ā” am I right or am I right lads
"dally's so hot!!!! šš"
you wanna know what else he is. a cool character thats got a lot to him that gets left up to interpretation.
we only see what dally is like from ponyboy's perspective but he describes him from a sense of that he's similar to a brother whilst is also slightly intimidated by him, but also is trying to remember him and help other people remember him.
dally was described as being cold and mean (?) but we don't really know why that happened. maybe it happened before he went to tulsa or when he was in new york and got involved in the murder wrap or when he got to tulsa or when he was 10 and getting out of jail. we don't know what background he comes from other than likely neglect and lack of support, like how he said "my old man don't give a hang whether I'm in jail or dead in a car wreck" and I dont remember the rest of the quote. maybe the lack of support indirectly affected him and made him into the cold person he was in the outsiders. the only time that dally was really sort of emotional was when johnny suggested turning himself into jail. he doesn't want johnny to turn into him, doesn't want the skittish kid to turn into a person whos unloving to the world.
he sees ponyboy and johnny like family/brothers/somethingthatsfamilialwhoevenknowsatthispoint, especially johnny. the second he's dead, dally just runs out. he doesn't seem to fully process it nor accept it, and it seems like he ran through a lot of denial. nobody knows what he was thinking in that moment, and likely nobody ever will. i like when writers write what they think he was doing in between the time when he left the hospital and died, because it was hours or something, but it was a long time.
so, in general, hes not just "so hot" he's also a sort of interesting/complex character. i had more thoughts but forgot them.
this is why Iām the way I am
