Impromptu Brunch @ Three Bags Full

Hey guys, Long time no post! Things have been pretty busy between the three peas, but we will definitely try to be more active this year. So, first, happy new year! Yes, we're already 2 months into 2016, but better late than never right? Anyway, Green Pea, Mama Pea and I (Sweet Pea) were on our way to IKEA and stumbled upon a quaint little brunch place in Abbotsford called Three Bags Full. The interior is as you'd expect from a Melbourne café - rustic, well-lit and cozy. And the food definitely didn't disappoint. The experience didn’t either, but I won’t get into all the details (let’s just say I had an accident involving a search through the rubbish bins).

Top: Pulled lamb flatbread with pumpkin hummus, feta, shaved carrot, pomegranate and sesame.

This was delicious, it was a well balanced dish and we enjoyed the Middle Eastern infusion. 8/10

Bottom left: Salad (special)

I loved this salad and I would have it again and again if it wasn’t for the fact that it was only a daily special. There was a range of flavours that worked well together- from the sweetness of the corn and red onions, to the tanginess of the hidden pomegranates jewels underneath. 9/10

Bottom right: Ricotta hotcakes with orange infused mascarpone, seasonal fruit, roasted almond flakes, lemon verbena & crystallised white chocolate

This was lovely, It was crisp on the outside and super soft and moist on the inside. It wasn’t too sweet, and the mascarpone really complimented the cake. Yum. I think I’m craving for more. 8/10

Overall this café was a great find and if you’re in the area, you should definitely give it a try.
