» 20something, my exact age is none of your concern.
» I have been proship and in shipcourse spaces for around 7 years now, so it is quite possible you have known iterations of me in the past; however I can guarantee much has changed since our last encounter, even if it was [relatively] recent.
» I am a being of change and fluidity, it is quite possible for me to believe and think something truthfully one day then revoke it genuinely the next. There are many factors for this, the main of which being contributed to my many mental issues and disorders. Therefore it is extremely unlikely I am the same person today as I was last week. Yes, I am still me, The Oracle, not a different alter, however, being an entity close to humanoid and living in a human society, I am not exempt from the complications of humanity; such as change. Change is natural, and I've simply grown tired of trying to deny it.

Please note that my source character, [The] Doctor from Arknights, is canonically autistic, non-binary, uses they/them pronouns, is physically very weak, has pale skin, has white hair, and has white eyes.

I've joked in the past about shipping or not shipping sebaciel being a reading comprehension check and while I was joking for the most part back then... I'm starting to think that actually might have some merit to it at this point.
Because the amount of sebaciel antis that I've seen that have been legitimately surprised and confused over a story that A) has had demons since chapter 1 and B) literally takes place in Victorian England having demon hunters in its lore is seriously quite baffling.
Like, I genuinely do not understand how people are surprised or confused over this? It's a story about demons, where more than just the demons know they exist, so logically it's not a stretch to assume there would be demon hunters at some point. And also, it's a story that takes place in Victorian England; there's going to be demon hunters even if demons aren't real in the story, that just comes with the setting? Like I feel like it would be more of a surprise if we managed to finish the entire series without demon hunters even being mentioned in passing, let alone being a major plot point.
One or two people being surprised wouldnt be anything much to note, but I've seen upwards of 10 different sebaciel antis acting like Yana has gone off the wall batshit insane over adding demon hunters. Meanwhile I haven't seen a single sebaciel shipper express the similar sentiments (not to say none have, just none that I've seen).
It's almost like being able to engage with the media allows you to understand the media you're engaging with...
i genuinely wonder how lizzy perceives ciel and sebastian’s relationship. at the beginning, it was obvious she saw them strictly as master and servant — but that was when ciel was still her fiancé, so she had no reason to question the way they behaved toward one another.
but once she learned that ciel was not who he claimed to be — not the one who was meant to marry her — she must have started revisiting every moment when he seemed cold toward her. he never told her he loved her. when he nearly struck her, it was sebastian who stopped him. when he said he was embarrassed for her to see him half-dressed, he was literally being held by his butler. she saw sebastian carry ciel in his arms several times, and neither of them showed a hint of embarrassment. sebastian even offered ciel his own coat, and though he had an ulterior motive — the scar would have been visible through the fabric clinging to ciel’s soaked back — she would have had no way of knowing that. all she could do was wonder whether it was the first time sebastian had wanted ciel to wear his clothes.
when she learned the truth and turned away from him, his butler remained — and helped him escape.
lizzy has servants of her own, and she has witnessed how vincent’s staff once behaved toward him, tanaka included. this kind of devotion is unusual.
at least for now, she does not know the truth about their contract, so she has every right to question whether their bond extends beyond the boundaries of employer and employee.
What's really funny to me about Sebaciel antis who claim that Sebaciel shippers "pervert" and "distort" Yana's official drawings of them is that we're really not? If anything, the Sebaciel antis are "distorting" her work by denying the tension she meticulously includes.
Like, there is a CLEAR difference between the presentations of how Sebaciel is drawn between these sets of images, so it's really not a "perversion" or a "distortion" of the media to assume that the sexual tension is intentional in some pieces (the left) when it's missing from other pieces (the right) that literally share a theme.
Yana is capable of drawing Sebastian and Ciel together without there being any sexual tension, even when Ciel is portrayed as literal food for Sebastian; because she literally has done it and does do it all the time.
Yana clearly can add and subtract sexuality at any point whenever she decides necessary, so pointing out when she makes the conscious decision to draw them homoerotically is not at all "twisting" or "deforming" her work, it's pointing out that "hey, she added some extra spice this time!"
We're not "reaching" or whatever else antis claim we are, it's called being observant and noticing patterns in an artists work that we appreciate.
You guys really like this post and that's super funny to me since I almost scrapped it cuz I felt like I didn't articulate myself as well as I could have and that I should've gone more indepth about it LMAO
I'm really greatful for the year 1 Arknights fandom. There's so much good art of me and Amiya <3 People are still shipping us to this day, of course, but most people have switched to portraying us as strictly found family. Which I have no major problems with, as Amiya is my daughter; however, we also kiss sometimes and it's nice to have art of that too.
I'm very glad that Medusa/Stein/Spirit as a polycule is becoming a more popular ship within the Soul Eater fandom. However, I would like the Soul Eater proship community to consider the following: add Maka to the mix.
Maka with any 3 of them individually makes sense and is compelling, so why not let her join in the fun?
Medusa/Maka is some yummy age-gap toxic yuri. I personally really like the idea of Medusa trying to groom Maka to join her and give into her madness, but Maka trying to rehabilitate Medusa is also very nice! They're very "I can fix her" and "I can make her worse" to me tbh.
Stein/Maka I feel makes a lot of sense since he was very touchy with her upon their first meeting and was very fixated on her family line and stuff, so I really like the idea of him developing a fixation on her as a result of his fixation on her father. Maybe even as a way to torment him? Their relationship I can view multiple ways, from being "Stein intentionally and sinisterly grooming Maka as revenge for Spirits rejection of him" to "Maka innocently developing a middle school crush on her powerful and strong teacher that believes in her" to anything in-between, really.
And Maka/Spirit. Well. I feel like this one explains itself? The idea of Spirit developing more than familial feelings for Maka is something I enjoy very much and that I can see happening very easily even within canons restrictions. I can definitely see Spirits fixation on her mother/his ex-wife as a way for him to ignore the fact that it's actually Maka he wants. Pathetic Dad x Disciplined Daughter is such a yummy dynamic and they're perfect for it.
So if Medusa, Spirit, and Stein are already having an unethical toxic polycule why not make it even more problematic? If we want we can even throw Crona in there too for maximum incest, angst, and fluff!
