existing is boring. wanna hurtle off a cliff?
what i'm saying is, i will probably be very scared if i was dying right this minute but the concept in the abstract doesn't worry me one bit it can consume me whole for all i care
Hide all the keys, and seal our windows 'Cause I'm going to war
On Sundays Kafka goes for walks by himself. . .
so you wanna start a war in the age of icons so you wanna be immortal with a loaded gun
reading lotr is really just crying over the description of a tree
so for awhile, just awhile, let me feel at home again
No greater love hath a man than he lay down his life for his brother. Not for millions, not for glory, not for fame. For one person, in the dark where no one will ever know or see.
i know we're the crooked kind But you're crooked too, boy, and it shows
all we do

Supernatural: Carry On
15 years.Â
15 years of blood and gore, of ghosts, vampires, werewolves and demons, of God and Death and everything in between. All of it culminating into the most controversial episode in the entirety of the show: the series finale.
I know. After sticking with the boys through heaven and hell, we all had expectations. We’d already received a pseudo-ending to the original storyline, and now we wanted more. We hoped for more. And a lot of us were disappointed.Â
And sure we have cause to be. It would appear this year is not one for winners, because there are precious few the series finale managed to satisfy. There are some legitimate concerns. Representation. Character development. 15 years of evolving characters and storylines. And each and every one of us have the right to be disappointed. The legitimacy of the absence of certain elements notwithstanding, we have a right to be angry. With the writers and the showrunners, and the people up the ladder who chose to make decisions that go against the spirit of the show and its characters. If it makes you feel angry, sad, disappointed, disillusioned - you have every right to be.Â
But here’s what you don’t get to be. Here’s what you do not have a right to do: direct your anger at the wonderful cast who brought this amazing show to life. The people who are the reason Supernatural went on as long as it did, because they gave it every bit of themselves, because they were as invested in it as us, if not more. The people who sometimes had to work with not so great scripts in not so great conditions, but who still made sure to give this show nothing less than their very best. The people who have created this huge family with us, who are amazing and kind and brave, who look out for each other as much as they do for us. The reason Supernatural worked was in large part because of its cast and their dedication and love for this show. They are the life and blood.Â
So what they deserve is our love. What they should be receiving is our support. Because they’re family. They always have been. Every single cast member has done nothing but command respect, for the work they have done on screen and off, for all the love they have given us. We absolutely do not have the right to direct any anger or hatred at these people. And yet it is happening. This awesome, amazing cast has been subject to outright abuse and hatred because- what? we didn’t get the ending we wanted? because things that we thought should’ve happened, didn’t? This fandom and this family has always been about love, and support, about building each other up and making sure we always keep fighting. Such behaviour from fans goes directly against those ideals upon which we have built this amazing family. So if you have had any part in this, I ask you to stop. I ask you to think about what you’re saying, and who you’re saying it to. Your anger may be legitimate, but it should not be directed at people who do not deserve it. That is not who we are.Â
Alternate Supernatural Endings to Get You Going (again)
Sam and Dean dying during the conflict with God. Cut to scenes of the abandoned bunker, the Impala gathering rust, and voice-over narration from Jack, who talks about the end of things, as they were. A new - better- world order. The Winchesters, lost and forgotten as the world moved on to new heroes. And then cut to Sam and Dean, united in heaven. soulmates.
Sam dying during a hunt, and Dean refusing to let go. Yet, in his dying moments, Sam gets Dean to promise to "always keep fighting." Dean cremates Sam, all alone. Dean throws himself into the hunt, one after the other, biding his time, until at last he goes down even as he beheads the last of the vampires pack, and wakes up to see Sam, Mary, John, Bobby, Ellen, Jo, and everyone else they lost along the way, waiting for him. reunited at last.
Sam getting poisoned on a hunt. He is dying, but slowly and painfully. He begs Dean to do it, and Dean refuses, because how can he hurt his little brother? yet his brother is in so much pain... so with tears in his eyes, with every ounce of hatred he had ever felt for himself raging in his heart, he drives a blade straight through Sammy's heart and holds his hand until he departs for Heaven, condemning his own soul to Hell for eternity.
Following Sam's death in a hunt, Dean cremates him. He finds a good home for his baby, and he trades his four wheels for two, because that empty passenger seat was so painful to look at. He sits on a secluded beach, drinking one last beer, and says an apology so quiet it is lost in the waves. He pulls out his gun, and as the screen turns black, you hear the unmistakable sound of a gunshot.
