I learn so many interesting things while researching for my writing. Like for example…

Did you know that if you abduct a minor and transport them across state lines, you could theoretically receive a LIGHTER sentence than if you kidnapped an adult and took them down the street? Because the sentence for federal abduction is 20 years to life, while the sentence for regular (and aggravated in the state of Vermont because they don’t have aggravated as a separate charge for some reason???) kidnapping is 30 years to life.
