I can’t stand when people adopt children, then get pregnant through IVF, and then treat their adopted children like trash or slaves. Especially if the adopted child doesn’t meet their expectations behaviorally or comes with lots of emotional baggage/ trauma. It’s almost like they see that as a justification for giving up on that child and acting like the child is not part of their family because genetically they’re screwed up or something. Then the child gets singled out as THE problem and gets rejected a second time by the people who are supposed to love them the most. I’ve seen this several times now and it hurts my heart each time. You CHOSE those children at some point, you wanted them. Act like it!

Brazil, you need to quit the endless bump & grind silliness and grow up. You came with history but struggled to maintain presence. Norway rowed right over you and Brazillians just twerked the whole time. You didn’t fight, you didn’t lean into your greatness and add to it. You lost even more of your aura this round. You have revealed to the world how unserious you all are. You are from the land of the Jaguar but you act like AI dancing cat videos. I wanted real Brazil but you gave me Temu, polyester, chemically enhanced Brazil.

History is to be built on, improved on, not to be your entire current identity and an excuse to coast by on. Today, I am bummed. Brazil’s team had a lot of potential but none of it was seen today on the pitch.

Now I root SOLEY for the US, but I wish Brazil had advanced and been a worthy opponent at the end. That dream is over. Neymar is no more. Brazil, you have four years to get your act together.
