It’s no secret that most men see women as fuck toys, baby-makers, and maids, so they assume that women have a similarly reductive view of them in return. That’s why these men will watch anime filled to the brim with half-naked teenage girls with oversized knockers whose panties get stolen for the millionth time as a “hilarious” running gag, only to cry “fetishism” when someone pairs two male characters together. They can’t wrap their heads around someone shipping two characters of the same gender together for any purpose other than to imagine them boinking each other.

Notice how they never levy these accusations against straight ships. That should tell you everything you need to know.
