In which Vulcans are aquatic creatures and as a result, Spock is a kind of amphibious mermaid that can spend time on land, but needs to get back to water every now and then to not get ill :)) And she can switch between being bipedal and having a fin through some kind of aquamarine/H2o-esque shenanigans 💖🤙. I think her quarters would be mostly a pool so she can recover after her shifts, with little land sections for her clothes, PADD and other items that don't do well in water. I think Kirk would love debriefing at the pool, diving around with Spock and stuff :))

This would also open up the door for a variety of fun episodes where Spock either gets stuck as a mermaid for maximum carrying around by Kirk or the crew get stuck on a planet without water and Spock struggles to get by 🤙

Bones would carry a little spray bottle to keep Spock hydrated which she would totally only use when Spock is drying out and not liberally whenever Spock pisses her off like an unruly cat.

You can do this btw. I know a trans woman who takes e and topical testosterone to keep her junk working. Trans men get topical estrogen sometimes for vaginal atrophy. I know a nonbinary person who's gotten top surgery but also undergoes electrolysis for facial hair, just on preference. I personally have been adding in topical testosterone to give myself a fatter hog.
