What I find fascinating about wicked is that even if you ship fiyeraba it’s still a tragedy even if not a romantic one.

It’s about a woman(?(depends on the interpretation)) who tries so desperately to change the world and make it better and in the ends has to give up. Since It gets to dangerous for her and she needs to decide to either die trying or fake her death and try to save her life even if she would now be a wanted criminal in Oz.

And even having to leave her friends who are still alive behind since she cant take Glinda since far to much of a public figure, Nessa is dead Boq doesn’t like her anymore more after what happened(most likely).

Even if this isn’t a romantic tragedy in Gelphie it still is a tragedy for Elphaba.

1&2: Seemingly she died. Seemingly, she woke up. Seemingly she had a table thrown at her and four of her ribs shattered and one punctured her heart. Seemingly the words of her favorite book wasn't just words. Seemingly she didn't have a pulse when they found her.

Seemingly she woke up in the middle of the road not quite sure of where she was.

4: Prim : who is this?

Paris: I'm Paris I need some help,

5: Prim: what do you need?

6: Paris: I could use a place to rest,,

7: Prim: if you can make it to seventy third Street you’ll find me

Paris: okay

9: Prim: I’ll be standing outside— *sees Paris* Speak of the devil

10: Paris: speak of the what?

{a lil context if anyone wants (this will become clear later) Paris is from another world and after she dies by being slammed into a wall by a table she wakes up in nyc and is given a phone with Prim’s number; at this point in the story Prim remembers Paris from decades ago, but the weird thing to Prim is that Paris is only 15 and couldn’t have been alive then, and Paris has no clue who Prim is)

Wicked kinda has the themeing for Orpheus and Eurydice if you look at it long enough

Elphaba leave Glinda behind in defying gravity (even if it was fully Glinda’s choice to stay)

And when Glinda finally does go back and try to get Elphaba she’s already gone and will leave basically forever. (as in looking back and Eurydice is dragged back to her fate)
