Anti-Hostility Buttermilk Pie: The Secret to a Peaceful Holiday with your Family 🥧
So, I know the holiday season is pretty much halfway over by now, but I thought I'd share this spell since I tried it recently and it worked tremendously. This is a spell for anyone who spends time around their family for the holiday, but doesn't necessarily have the happiest family in the world. I made this spell because my family fights a lot when they're together and I always make this pie for the holidays, so I thought I would put it to good use. Also, disclaimer, I'm not at all a kitchen witch and this is the first time I've ever put magick into food, so I apologize if anything is done wrong lol. It just worked out great for me so I thought I'd share it. Also, you can change or tweak anything to suit your own needs or preferences.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
~Magic~ ingredients:
Cinnamon – to ward off any negativity or negative emotions
Lemon juice – to cleanse the energy of whoever eats the pie
Nutmeg – to banish any negativity or hurtful energy (*can also be given the intention of making your guests leave your home quickly if you do not want them to stay for long.*)
2 cups of sugar – to make the people who eat the pie sweet and kind
1 tsp of vanilla – to make the energy in the home peaceful and warm
Additional ingredients:
½ cup of butter
3 tbsp of flour
3 eggs
1 cup of buttermilk
Deep-dish pie crust
Baking Directions:
1.) After cleansing and giving the intention to each ingredient, cream together ½ cup of butter & 2 cups of sugar in a mixing bowl.
2.) Slightly beat 3 eggs, take 3 tbsp of flour, then stir in all of it into the bowl. (for a better result, add 1 egg and 1 tbsp of flour at a time to the bowl and fully stir into the mix each time.)
3.) Add and stir in 1 cup of buttermilk.
4.) Add 1.5 tsp of vanilla, a few splashes of lemon juice, 2 pinches of nutmeg, and a dash of cinnamon to the mix. (The measurements for these ingredients aren't exact. You can add in however much feels right to you, and you can also add anything that's not listed that you want).
5.) Stir everything together. Put the intention of negativity being banished and peaceful/harmonious energy being brought in to the home.
6.) Pour mix into the deep-dish pie crust.
7.) Sprinkle cinnamon evenly over the top of the pie and crust. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon in the shape of a pentagram/protection sigil to protect the pie/spell from outside interference.
8.) Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes. Check at 30 minutes. Add 5 minutes if pie isn't done at the 50-minute mark. You know it is done when the center of the pie does not seem liquid-y and doesn’t heavily jiggle.
9.) Let cool, then serve.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Pretty simple and nothing too complicated. I'm not much of a baker, but I find this pie to be pretty easy and effective. It takes me about an hour in total.
Hope this is helpful to those who need it!
Sigil Crafting
Sigils were the first magic I ever learned. As an artist, symbolism and aesthetic are things that are incredibly important to me. I have used multiple ways of crafting sigils, but I have created my own personal way of creating sigils using a method writers have used in poetry- the stream of consciousness technique.
I put my pen to paper, call upon what I wish to make a sigil about, and let the pen create what I need.
These are the sigils that I use the most frequently (you may use them if you wish).
You may notice that my sigils in the form of arrows. Arrows are a symbolic representation of aiming and shooting for something, and I love the vertically long look because I like to draw these sigils on my forearms.
I created all of these with stream of consciousness drawing.
It is almost like a form of meditation for me. Allowing myself to simply create what I think “focus” or “protection” looks like visually makes the end results beautiful and meaningful for me.
I do have a few running themes. Here are a few symbols I love to throw in.
These are used a ton in my art.
So here is a step by step of what to do-
1. Clear your mind for meditation. (Tip- if you have crystals that symbolize your intent, surround yourself with them. And example would be having a rose quartz for love on you or near you.)
2. Put your writing utensil to your paper. (I recommend using paper before digital.) Have your energy flow from your body to the focus of the tip of the pen/pencil, repeating the intent you wish the sigil to have.
3. Make a first draft of your sigil by allowing your hand to simply move as you think of your intent.
4. Make as many reiterations you wish until you have something you feel satisfied with. (Editing is a big part of writing as well.)
5. After a few tries making different sigils, make a list of your own common symbols you see popping up in your sigils.
And there you have it. If you are not comfortable, try mixing this technique with others to find what works best for you, or simply only use other techniques and make sigil arrows. I think using the look of an abstract arrow helps with directing intentions.
You can also request a sigil from me if you so choose in my inbox, for I shall be making them for anyone who asks for free.
I hope you find yourself using this technique of stream of consciousness to create wonderful sigils.
Yours is literally the only content here that isn't copy pasted from a book or a website. I really respect that. Thank you for sharing all this knowledge that is your first-hand wisdom instead of just a rewording of your learning from other people. I loved your post on the mature kind and the base kind of Geminis and Cancerians. I see just how true it is! Can't believe other astrologers never talk about it! Can you please delve into the mature and base kinds of the others too? Thank you again!
The Zodiac Signs in Their Base and Mature Manifestations
Which one are you?
ARIES
Base: Irritable, conceited, selfish. Orders their friends around. Emasculates or undermines their romantic and business partners. Aggressive towards strangers. Prone to road rage.
Mature: Courageous, leader-like, driven. Kind to their inferiors. Expresses their anger in a dignified, alpha-male/female manner instead of exploding randomly on other people.
TAURUS
Base: Lazy, obstinate, boaster. Does not care how anybody else feels as long as they are happy, such as hoping the pandemic lasts, so they can keep working from home.
Mature: Joyful, polite, luxurious. Enjoys sharing their wealth – material or experiential – with loved ones. Buys fine things for their own happiness, not just to serve as status symbols.
GEMINI
Base: Deceptive, treacherous, loud. Acts nice to people they normally ignore right before asking them for a favor. Always talking behind someone’s back. Constantly scheming.
Mature: Intelligent, versatile, sociable. Brings lightheartedness to any gathering. Has a great sense of humor. Knows how to manipulate the system to benefit self and others.
CANCER
Base: Passive-aggressive, irrational, moody. Does good to others, but always with the expectation of being repaid. Has victim mentality. Gets offended extremely easily.
Mature: Nurturing, kind, loving. Is good to people simply because it is the right thing to be. Inspires others to admit, face and accept the difficult truths in their lives.
LEO
Base: Controlling, disloyal, insecure. Constantly needs to be complimented; otherwise, they would feel worthless. Always in search of “fans” instead of a real partner or true friends.
Mature: Brave, devoted, charismatic. Exudes a warm, welcoming, confident energy that makes people adore them. Thinks they are greater than any problem life can throw at them.
VIRGO
Base: Critical, judgmental, negative. Acts disgusted in environments and around people whom they believe to be beneath them. Thinks they are far superior to everyone else.
Mature: Reliable, rational, organized. Never misses a deadline. Always looks presentable no matter how stressful their personal life is, because dignity is important to them.
LIBRA
Base: Shallow, fickle, simple-minded. Easily changes their principles because they just adopt whatever values are trending on Twitter. Chronic cheater and eternal pushover.
Mature: Elegant, harmonious, balanced. Never judgmental because they strive to understand where others are coming from. Always acts in a polished, graceful manner.
SCORPIO
Base: Paranoid, jealous, unstable. Always chases men/women like they have no self respect. Full of unreleased angst, so they just act like they are angry at the whole world.
Mature: Self-loving, passionate, proud. Releases, instead of stores, their anger. Never possessive because they do not care for anyone who would not die for them anyway.
SAGITTARIUS
Base: Obnoxious, unreliable, a nuisance. Like that secondary fictional character who serves no purpose except to make snarky remarks. Optimistic to the point of being foolish.
Mature: Exciting, accepting, enthusiastic. Hopes for the best but prepares for the worst instead of just blindly wishing. Has an infectious charm that lightens the atmosphere.
CAPRICORN
Base: Superior, cynical, miserable. Mentally unstable because of their chronic pessimism. Opportunistic and selfish even towards those who are very kind to them.
Mature: Smart, strategic, patient. Realistic instead of pessimistic. Highly ambitious and determined but not at the expense of others. Avoids sprints, but great at marathons.
AQUARIUS
Base: Cold, detached, lost. Unable to master their emotions. Tries too hard to be different. Antisocial and needy at the same time. Acts superior but is secretly insecure.
Mature: Philanthropic, selfless, confident. Recognizes, accepts and embraces their uniqueness. Is not emotionally hot-and-cold. Genuinely cares about humanity.
PISCES
Base: Deluded, escapist, dependent. Emotionally childish, unrealistic and illogical. Very submissive to other people. In need of an authority figure to give them direction.
Mature: Creative, intuitive, childlike (vs. childish). Sees the world as a golden meadow, but knows that there are snakes hiding in the grass. A fountain of joy and cheerfulness.
Note that for all of us, ego, pride and confidence are leading signs of maturity. They are symptoms of someone’s self esteem being healthy. The opposites of which are arrogance, superiority and conceitedness — symptoms of baseness, and tumors of insecurity. Try not to confuse the two categories.

What Native people say about the use of sage: you can use sage, but you cannot smudge as nothing you are doing (waving sage around) is actually smudging. Smudging is a ceremony and you are, we promise, not smudging. Please buy sage from either us, or someone who sources the sage from us. White sage may not be considered endangered by the US government but corperate sourcing is making it difficult for us to source sage for our own religious purposes. Let alone to sell it.
What white people hear: never use sage ever, don’t ever buy it, don’t own it, don’t even look at it.
Look, y’all. There’s a couple of facets to my talk today.
1) Yes! You can buy sage! You really, truly can! Buy it from either native sellers (go to a powwow! Eat our food, buy our stuff, watch some dancing!) Or buy it from a seller who sources the sage from native people. Pick one. And no, buying it from 5 Below doesn’t count.
2) you CANNOT smudge. This isn’t just you “shouldn’t”— this is a YOU ARE INCAPABLE OF SMUDGING. Waving a sage stick around your doorways IS NOT SMUDGING. It is smoke clensing. Smudging, depending on the tradition and tribe, could easily have dancing and drums involved. You, as a white person, do not have the cultural BACKGROUND to even know how it works. At all. Period.
3) please, for FUCKS SAKE, stop making posts here on tumblr where you tell other white people about cultural appropriation and what they can and cannot do. Please stop, your license has been revoked because none of you bother to get the facts right. We native people are FULLY CAPABLE OF DOING IT OURSELVES. Consider instead: a) reblogging our posts where we talk about it! We’re here! We have made posts!! b) Making a post that states what we said and then LINKS BACK TO US. Screenshot with a link if you must. Stop centering your own voices in these conversations. You are already centered in everything, stop centering yourselves in a native space.
I’m tired of this nonsense, y’all.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk ™

Drawing Sigils: My Way
Dedicated to the anon who asked, thank you~ <3
My sigils are basically just a variant of the Witch’s Sigil Wheel. I’ve just added my own flare to it. If you don’t know what that is, it’s this thing, you kind find pictures of it on google pretty easy.
The first thing you’re gonna want to do is come up with your phrase. This will set the sigils intention. We’re gonna use the phrase “The Earth keeps me safe” for this example. Once you’ve got that figured out, pick out the words that are most important to you. We’re going to use “Earth” and “Safe” as our keywords.
(note: traditionally letters that are doubled are taken out, and only single appearing letters make the points.)
Next thing you’re gonna do, is draw lines from one letter to the next. You’ll be making separate lines for each word. Feel free to curve some of these lines, but i think it looks like a mountain or a crystal so we’re gonna keep it c:
And then the next word.
This is really starting to look like a crystal in my eyes! Now it’s time to add some flare. One thing I like to do is add circles around letters that have multiple points on them. And I add crossing lines to any other line that doesn’t have an angle or connection.
To really long lines, I like to add another line parallel to it.
The last part, make it personal! Add some sort of your own flare to it.
I played around with the crystal idea that I was getting, and added things to make it look sparkling and an arrow in the middle to represent protection.
Lastly I like to keep my sigils in circles, but feel free to skip this step and call it done! Here’s what I came up with!
If you make one, please reblog with a picture! I’d love to see ^u^ Hopefully this helps.
