The systematic deprivation, denial of equal healthcare (including racist discrimination by healthcare providers, many Black and Native covid 19 patients are experiencing a longstanding problem of Black and Native patients symptoms being ignored or minimized and not receiving adequate care, or any care at all), environmental racism, etc. that make up day to day genocidal conditions for Black and Native people in the US result in higher death rates for Black and Native people of covid 19 which absolutely are part of genocide.

This is a huge part of why (very disproportionately wealthy and/or bourgeoisie) white protesters are so keen on reopening business as usual, both so they can maintain profits as bourgeoisie and so that they can continue genocide against Black and Native peoples in the US.

Note: the article doesn’t discuss Native people, because most statistical analysis in the US doesn’t because the US likes to pretend Native peoples don’t exist, but Native people are also experiencing massively disproportionate infection and death rates due to similar factors.

remember that post going around about how cops will pop the hoods on their patrol cars to block the always-on dashcam while they beat someone up and was accompanied by a picture of 3 cop cars doing exactly that, and it got big enough that snopes stepped in to defend these poor defenseless officers, and their entire analysis was "this is fake because we asked those officers specifically and they pinky promised all 3 of them were raising their hoods to stop their engines from overheating", and then an actual auto mechanic stepped in and pointed out that popping the hood on an idling car in the southern summer sun would actually make the all-black engine block hotter? good times
