Life without Travel

Life without Travel once you’ve opened the can of adventuring can be tough, to be honest it has me in a rut. I love the lifestyle I could live it for a while at least. Every day was a new adventure and although it was rough getting up and going on the days you didn’t want to I wouldn’t have changed it for the world and wish I could have stayed longer. Countdown to my next trip is on although I am not quite sure when it will be yet. Probably after my season in alberta, unless I don’t find a job (still hoping I do!) Then I’ll go work at a hostel and volunteer somewhere, so many things ahead of me.

So grateful for my support system that gets me through it, I am a travel junkie and being excited for my next adventure is an understatement!

Planes, trains and automobiles...

If you didn't guess from my last post I am going to Quebec City for a few days! I am so excited. I have had enough time to hangout at home and am ready for one more adventure before starting to plan for Alberta, and 3 concerts before I go, WHOOPIE!! At first when I was leaving for Latin America I was nervous to get on the plane but by the time I flew home I wasn't at all. I got to venture around toronto before catching my via train home. Traveling fuels my soul with exactly what it needs when it needs it. Having the power to do whatever I was with my day when I want to engulfs me with a feeling of joy and powerful-ness. I am always excited for whatever new adventures are going to come my way. I can't wait for another summer in Alberta, spending more time smiling than frowning and on mountain peaks every chance I get. Here's to seeing Alberta this year, finally. From high to low, Peaks to Praries. I leave early (ish) in the morning so this is me right now. Good night all, sleep tight. Or have a great day depending on your time zone. I did not know this feeling that I have consuming me was possible, it is like happiness, but more. Almost a sense of bliss for how my life has become. I am happy, healthy, positive. I have amazing people surrounding me everyday new or old friends. Life is full of possibilities and chances behind every door just waiting to be discovered. There are new places to go, people to meet and things to see. More than you could ever imagine and you truly do not get the true idea until you get out there and do it.

here i am, sitting at the Montreal airport, my plane for Costa Rica boards in 30 minutes and leaves in an hour. oh god I am exhausted. i haven't pulled an all nighter in months now. i do not know how i used to do this. i can’t wait to sleep and that is all I’m thinking about. Take care of yourselves even you dont really have the time, its always worth it.

Well I had an amazing birthday full of great food great times and great people. It's coming down to take off day. My bag is packed. I'm going over all the final nitty gritty list making things. Excitement is overflowing my body. It's real and it's going to be amazing.

How do you express your love for someone when it feels like it runs so deep it consumes you. How do you explain to someone how much they have changed your life without words. Time is what it takes, time and actions. Being in a long distance relationship is one of the greatest challenges about being in love. You know the love is so strong because it can go through thousands of miles and still feel enough love to wrap you up like a warm blanket. The love of my life absolutely flipped my life upside down. He showed me a whole new way of life and something I had never consistently known, happiness. In a few weeks I will be travelling to nicaraga, Costa Rica, and panama with him and I am overjoiced. No better way to get back in touch with yourself than crazy adventures with the person you wouldn't rather be with. I would love for you guys to follow me along. I am going to make a new blog for this purpose. URL is to be posted. I love anyone who wants to read the blabber that is my life in writing form. I show you so much joice and graduitude. One minute, i feel great. As happy as I could be right now and then the next a wave comes over me, there’s a pit in my stomach and a lump in my throat. With tears suddenly pouring down mt face I wonder, what is wrong with me? 

I should be happy. Shawn hasn’t been gone a week even, and I’ve been spending my time missing him since he left. I don’t know what else to do, I live in a small town so there isn’t much you can go out and do for fun - especially in the winter. Trying to save money means staying in more anyways. I’ve been reading, writing, blogging, seeing people as often as I can and practicing Spanish for my trip. But it never feels like enough. How do I fill my day up with such acute activities? How do people do it? 

It’s going to be a very long road, I know. Seeing as I am not even sure where to begin. I know social media is a big part of it, because the feeling usually comes on when i log on and see something that makes me feel an uncertain way I can’t describe. Maybe it’s envy and jealous, I seriously don’t know. But I think I should try and find out.

Thought process,

Through the past year of knowing Shawn he has become my best friend easily. We have spent every moment I can think of together, and the times we were apart were harder for me than they should’ve been. 

Yesterday, Shawn left for his backpacking trip though Central America and although I am extremely excited for all the experiences he is going to have I can’t help but have this sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach whenever I think about this is the farthest I’ve ever been away from him and the longest too. 

It’s not even that I am bitter, I get to go and see him next month for 2 weeks wherever he will be at the time, but I still can’t seem to find a way to make this feeling go away, even with my strong mind. 

I miss him already, and it’s hard knowing that it will be over a month until I get to feel the tingle of being in his arms, and then another month after seeing him there. I don’t necessarily like missing him, but it’s so nice to feel this way about someone.

Bad Habbits

I have an extreme problem with starting something up, and spending a lot of time on that process, but once I finish the task I lose interest and stop with what I started - or at least forget about it. 

I have realized that I am a type of person who to start things, but not necessarily finish them. This has not just applied to hobbies like blogs or design projects, it has stretched out to relationships in some instances, I am extremely glad to have realized this, because now it can change. 

I am on a tremendous journey of self discovery at this point in my life, I am turning 20 in February, and will be doing some travelling around Central(and/or)South America with my boyfriend which I am extremely excited for. So for the next month while I am waiting for my passport and to go see my love, I will practice using mindfulness and yoga to attempt to strengthen my own thoughts and mind.

I am going to be blogging my progress and thought process on this, I am extremely excited for the change it could bring. New year, unrecognizable me. 

All these years I felt like I have been hiding my true self, because I never really tried to figure out who they were, and I can feel it poking through the cracks now and it’s shining bright. I am so ready!

A few years ago I hoped by 2016 we would have come so much farther with mental health stigma’s - preventing them and helping people who are already forced to live the everyday life of battling with your own mind. This has to stop. If you don’t have someone you can talk to and you need to, there is always another option. It always gets better, even if it takes a while.
