Right in the feels.
Yup. Yup. Still feels.
Turns out that adulthood is basically a long series of conversations about how tired you are, interspersed with smiling sympathetically as someone else tells you how tired they are (but you’re thinking they are not nearly as tired as you).

Find someone who will be happy to redefine happiness with you.
I’m not saying things get dull in your 30’s, but last night I dreamt about shopping around for fixed rate 30 year mortgages.

Everyday once I put the kids down for a nap I’m faced with the decision between taking a nap or having me time. And every single day I make the wrong decision.
Girls are not responsible for any inappropriate reactions of boys.
Don't settle for someone who is unwilling to redefine their happiness to include you in it.

Son, it's a finger-puppet, not a penis-puppet.

Maybe I'm sitting in bed right now eating half a stale cake out of the box and staring at the wall. Maybe I'm making healthy life choices. Who really knows?
The only person you should have to convince that you are good enough is yourself.
You are not "worth more than that." Your worth is not determined by others and how they treat you. You deserve more than that. Go out and get it.
When I was a kid I HOARDED every girl hair and kept them separate in my room because I could make batgirl or a cowgirl or or… anything i wanted! It let you do whatever you want! My parents got me a mega blocks girly dollhouse lego knock off for christmas, and it was mostly used as a secret base for spies masquerading as a normal family.
My kids will never feel like they are not enough. No matter their life choices, I hope I can show them that true happiness is all you need to feel whole. They thought me this.
I hate the feeling robbed of moments in my life I thought were beautiful and true. They were true to me and that's all I have to hold on to.
