Hi, I'm Baron

I'm writer just trying to put a little more fanfic and fantasy into the world. I am a massive fan of most RPG's, though my favorites are Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Baldur's Gate 3, Pillars of Eternity (Deadfire but I love them both), and Fallout.

Besides fanfic, I am also a fantasy writer with original content, and I enjoy the occasional writing prompt post (both of which can be found here because I'm too lazy to make a second blog).

FINISHED FIC: Of Shadows and Masks - Before the events of BG 3, Shadowheart and Alyss (Tav) find themselves trapped by a group of bandits in the forests south of Baldur's Gate. There's something strange about these bandits... as the mystery unravels, the unlikely pair find they are the only ones who can stop the band before they bring ruin to the Sword Coast.

At the risk of annoying my friends by spamming them about more things they don’t care about, imma complain here about warhammer stuff.

New Drukhari detachments are just okay? Legitimately they rewrote 3 of our 6 overall detachments to just give us the same rules again but less?

It’s baffling that they couldn’t come up with anything more interesting. Competitively it will probably be fine because you can now mix and match some detachment rules to make sure your whole army has *something* buffing them, but it severely lacks in any kind of fluff or flavor. Hooray, my units from Homunculus get a new keyword and a little tougher when I run them with my kabal army. Cool, sick. Where is the actual cool stuff?

Drukhari have like 20 models total across three sub factions within the faction, so there isn’t really that much they could do I guess. But goddamn, it’s so incredibly boring that we get nothing that plays into the fantasy of the Dark Eldar.

I haven’t even been in this hobby for very long and this is already tiring. I was kinda hyped for new stuff and all we got was a recycled version of what we already had.

How would you describe a dragon to someone who has never seen a dragon?

didnt know how to interpret "make it a lizard" so i wrote lizard and drew an arrow pointing to the horse so people know its a lizard. Also didn't know what bat horns were so I gave it a horned bat nose

On it boss o7, ive mashed all these animals together and threw scales all over it. This the dragon you saw?

Seems like we're onto somethin' boss! Though idk how it'd be so fearsome bein such a small thing.

Apparently a lot of people get dialogue punctuation wrong despite having an otherwise solid grasp of grammar, possibly because they’re used to writing essays rather than prose. I don’t wanna be the asshole who complains about writing errors and then doesn’t offer to help, so here are the basics summarized as simply as I could manage on my phone (“dialogue tag” just refers to phrases like “he said,” “she whispered,” “they asked”):

“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.

“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.

“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.

“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”

“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”

“There’s no dialogue tag after this sentence, so end it with a period rather than a comma.” She frowned, suddenly concerned that the entire post was as unasked for as it was sanctimonious.

going to be so honest i could 1000000% be misinterpreting Daerans character here and he would probably have something sarcastic to say but i dont think its whole out of the realm of possibility that he would be very shock at Galfreys fall hahaha anyway

also hellfire decree goes brrrrrr, yes the companions are in the blase as well but its ok!! it only hits enemys :D a few day ago were page 106 + 107 and 108 + 109 singel pages an not full spreads perhaps hahhaAHHhh :)))
