Bruno and Mirabel chilling on the roof while Bruno tells stories! I headcanon they both came up to the roof when they are feeling down, and sometimes they meet each other up there!
I feel as though Pepa and Brunoâs conversation would be one of the last to happen. I just get the feeling Pepa would want to avoid talking in place of just assuring Bruno everything in their history was fine (even though Bruno didnât feel it was. He was under the impression for so long that Pepa hated him). Pepa didnât want to rain on Bruno, but Bruno had never cared if he got a little wet.
I was a bit hesitant to post this because to be honest I donât like it too much, I may redo it in the future, but I must carry on in my quest to draw Brunoâs conversations with his familia!Next up is Camilo, then Dolores, Luisa, Antonio and isabela(Iâm doing them in order if comments)
I read the encanto three sisters book today, and one line of mirabelâs description of Bruno just sticks out to me⊠âHis eyes arenât wildâtheyâre sad. His face is creased with frown lines as if heâs been sad for many, many years.â
Like đđđđitâs so simple yet so powerful.
i called him peepaw the child and then had a revelation that i had to put in art form

Can I rant about how much I adore this shot of Bruno?
The man hasn't seen his family for more than 10+ years and the one family member he hasn't even met in person is the one comforting him when he's clearly nervous about something.
And props for Antonio too for being so welcoming to his uncle who he doesn't know anything about(well as far as we know)
I mean just look at Bruno's face! You cannot tell me he's not thinking how much he loves his family, especially the nephew he's only seen through the cracks of the walls.
Also small headcanon: I feel like Antonio would let Bruno borrow(or maybe even give) his stuffed jaguar to help him with his nervesđ
I MEAN... HOW WOULD YOU REACT IF U SAW AN ARM STICKING OUT OF THE WALL SDLKJJSL
So with regards to the triplets dynamic growing up. Most folks agree Bruno and Pepa probably fought a lot, bicker, argue, tease, ect. But I donât agree with this idea that Julieta was closer to Bruno than Pepa. I think it was the other way around.
I think Julieta was the odd one out in the sibling dynamic. Why? She was the parentified sibling.
Parentification is when one siblings takes on a surrogate parent role to their siblings and or parents. I think this would have distanced her from her siblings. She was the responsible one, the snitch, the one who never let her siblings get away with anything. She never let herself just have fun and be a kid and was basically never in trouble which made her harder for her siblings to relate to.
Her constant tattling would also erode trust between her and her siblings. This was a calculated sacrifice however, it meant Alma trusted her more which meant she could more effectively calm her down or persuade her which gave her a unique ability to protect and care for her siblings.
I think Julieta never really got to be a kid. I think she sacrificed intimacy with her siblings in order to better care for and protect them. Bruno and Pepa may fight all the time but at the end of the day they understand each other, they share a lot of their trauma. Julieta just canât relate. Her trauma with their mother is entirely different.
Iâm not saying she was a bad sister. Kind of the opposite really. She was doing what she thought was best for them. More just expressing the idea of how being the parentified sibling can be uniquely alienating and create unbalanced sibling dynamics.
I always wanted to see a fanart where Julieta teaches Camilo how to make an arepa, but this'll work! Julieta might have seen a lot of similarities of Camilo to Bruno when it comes to the kitchen!
