My only legolas fanart to date

I’ve noticed a lot of sweet “Grace’s name means mercy” posts. Which is good and amazing, but Grace and Mercy are not perfect synonyms! And the actually meaning of grace is even more perfect for PHM’s story.

Mercy is forgiveness, compassion, or relief from unpleasantness/suffering. But Grace is the unearned favor of God, the salvation of souls, or a bestowal of blessings. (Christian beliefs). So while mercy is like speeding and not getting a ticket, grace is like speeding and the police officer gives you $1000. The unearned favor of the universe, the salvation of so many souls, and the blessing of friendship and love which define Grace’s story is so much more than even Mercy!

I had so much fun and struggled so hard to animate them dancing ahaha every frame gave me cuteness aggression

I like the lyrics I feel like it fits; Vox is so in love with Al it kills him, he should hate him for being strung along and having his emotions so easily manipulated. Yet he still tries to get close, to reach out. And still he waits for Al to make a move, to send a sign, that maybe it’s not unrequited.

Alastor thinks love is a waste of time, he calls Vox a fool for taking the bait. But he also calls himself a fool for indulging Vox, for allowing an attachment to the picture box, allowing him to dance and touch and get closer. Fate brought them together and fate keeps them apart, but damn if they won’t try to deny the fates
