hello all! you can call me zee, ziggy, or rabbit! this is a tennis sideblog to promo + share tennis content from my main blog (@challengersdvd) and post original stuff here, too. i've been a tennis fan consistently watching matches since august of 2024, and have been playing tennis since may of 2025. i mainly focus on itf (wheelchair tennis) and wta content here, but am known to reblog my own atp gifsets here too. you can read my tennis carrd here.

It's no accident, I think, that tennis uses the language of life.

Advantage, service, fault, break, love, the basic elements of tennis are those of everyday existence,

because every match is a life in miniature.

The way the pieces fit inside one another like Russian nesting dolls, mimics the structure of our days.

Points become games become sets become tournaments,

and it's all so tightly connected that any point can become the turning point.

It reminds me of the way seconds become minutes become hours,

And any hour can be our finest. Or darkest. It's our choice.

But if tennis is life, then what follows tennis must be the unknowable void. The thought makes me cold.

I can't escape the feeling that I'm about to die.
