*Extraordinary* . . . I've seen it all, I've risked it all, I know it all, Or so it seems. For all of it was gone in the instant, The second I saw you, the second you did not. It was a feeling I never felt before, Like a void was filled at last. You were the one I was sent to find, Was written by Gods on an iron cast. All of this was before we met, It was everything only I had felt. What did you feel or what did you think, Was a card that I wasn't dealt. But you came to me, like a hero does, You started the conversation I never could. And that's how it started, the story of us, You told me you felt everything that I thought you would. You could've been ordinary, but here you are, A space in a vacuum, a time beyond time. *The Decision* . . . Why are we burdened with all this sorrow? What did the God had in mind? That is what I was thinking about, So here goes the story that I designed. Before the world was created with stuff, And all the species were just spirits above. God was still on the production phase, And He was doing it with all His love. He gave the lions their leadership skills, And the pandas were then made more cute. The zebras was given a funky look, And monkeys were given their love for fruit. When everyone was getting their characteristics, Humans were wondering what would they get. We wanted to be curious and furious and noble, But we also wanted something we wouldn't regret. We were precious to God too, The greatest creation He made was Us. He gave us a chance to choose our nature, And then some time for us to discuss. We flickered through every feeling there was, There was something missing in all of them. The happy were missing the point of life, The ugly were busy hating all the glam. But then there was sadness in the end, Nobody wanted it for them you see. Even though it was rational and true and faithful, It was too real a thing to be. It was time for us to choose, We weren't feeling anything and it was bad. And when God asked, "What do you want to be?" *World End* . . . A leaf in a tree, So small and unseen, Knows not that it is together, That it makes a tree green. A missing clarity of our lives, Is what we all have in common. A heavy baggage of identity we carry, So heavy it gets that it has always fallen. To ease the burden, maybe, We try to find someone else. Someone to help us get through this, Someone to stand along until everything melts. Just like the leaf, we're unseen too, Until someone comes and sees beneath our skin. The two matters, with opposite energies clash, And that is how a world begins. This is what happens with everyone, I guess, Every small world, adds to the world we see. It makes us so alive and beautiful, Just like that green and leafy tree. But as always, time steps in, It gave you this life, it will take it too. "Everything has to end," it says, "And this 'world' is nothing new." It creates problems and chaos within, The smaller worlds under a big one. Like a chain reaction, it destroys all, Whatever it touches, whatever may come. A voice speaking for the last time, Through a heart far too broken to mend. *Hate* . . . I have a shape of hate in my mind, And it very much resembles you. I once had a shape of love in it, And back then it was you, too. We outgrew eachother, Like a child outgrows it's cradle. We're no longer the people we were once, But it's too much for us to handle. Unaccepting, as our nature is, We're tied to this boulder we can only push up. And never reaching the summit, We're always exhausted like a golfer's club. And in the light we run towards darkness, So we can stay hidden, Saving our hearts from the light, We've left our feelings bedridden. Such toxic nature, Maybe we're out of fate. *Death In The Family* . . . This day has stretched so long, Will it now ever end? I have lost someone close today, This heart just broke, never to mend. Everything's so pointless now, What will I do, what should I not? I am not thinking clearly, Can't see the story, I can't understand the plot. Why was it him? Why was it her? Why does everybody has to die? I wish we could just forget that person, And never have this emptiness pass us by. "The person has traveled to a different world", That is what they put in our ears. And here we are, misery stricken, Eating nothing, drinking tears. We've gone through the day, but, This light will at some point end, alas. *Almost Simple* . . . Somewhere deep in that mind of ours, We have a need to be accepted and seen. Our ancestors formed the social norms, The biggest shackle that's ever been. Can't do this, you can't do that, You will be judged for everything. You can do all the stuff they want, But peace is something it'll never bring. So I said no, this ain't right, Why such complexity in a world so simple? Doesn't really matter what we actually do, The world is so big, it won't even cause a ripple. And from the mind I once had, I cut out the part that was complicated. I am a simple man now, with simple habits, It's my mind that I've finally sedated. I'm in a trance like none other, It's something that even the fanciest drugs lack. *Fools Gold* . . . You and I, down the river, All soaked, and full of shivers. A river full of unknown feelings, And there we were, still non believers. But with time it took our breath away, We walked in deep, and we let it sway. Our heart was young with curious minds, It moulded us like the potter's clay. It made us believe what we never did, It confronted us now, in the journey mid, Even if it's intangible, a chemical doing, To believe in it is a clever bid. So young and yet we're so old, We love us, even though it's fools gold. Let it take you to the world unknown, Just close your eyes and let the heart unfold. Let the imagination take you in, Ask yourself, "where have you been?" *Fading Shine* . . . You were different, so different before, Brighter than sun, and everybody else. But what could you do, what way could you go, When the path you took, is the path that fails. I've been on that path before, And yes I know; It shows its signs. No matter how bad it gets after, From afar, it's the only way that shines. You used to be bright, once upon a time, Just like the stars, you used to shine. Melancholy took the better of you, Yeah you crossed that terrible line. Now you're on the other side, Everything's fading out of sight. You're trying to hold on to things, But even your brightness is not so bright. And slowly you succumb to the dark, Now you're one of us, the faded. *Forever* . . I sometimes wonder of a distant past, A memory of someone that is going to last. The someone who foreshadows my entire youth, The someone who was like an unspoken truth. The someone was her, and her alone, The someone who dug deep inside my bones. The someone who made me feel again, The someone who was beautiful than the rain. I spent entire days, and I spent whole nights, We had our truces, and we had our fights. The moments we had are still so clear, It's a direction to which I don't want to steer. I wanted to give her all the love, From the inmost of hearts to the heavens above. I knew time was like the flowing sand, But I was afraid, what we had would end. I tried sometimes, but my tongue was tied, So I never said, what I felt inside. Friendship won over love that day, But I still wonder if there was another way. I could've said it, I could've won, I could've quenched this eternal burn. *Sadness of the world* . . . Man above all, the brave and the bold, Taking the earth's power in its hands. Hauling it's pride from one edge of the line, We don't even catch it on the other end. We harm and abuse and exploit and waste, All the resources that it has. And then we take even more from it, Until we leave it with just a spaz. It asks for its dreams, the reverie it had, It asks again for all its wonders. It asks us to give her back, The world that was before this blunder. The floods we see is the earth crying, The earthquake shows that it shudders too, The storm shows the anger it hides, They don't arrive out of the blue.
