authors notes - i've been literally thinking of making this since uhhhhhhh idk last week ago? this fic was actually inspired by a bkdk ao3 fanfic. and what drove me to really do this smau is that—i really like the idea of applying real life things to fiction. like please tell me everytime u see yakult, it reminds u of this fic. or cafés. i want this fic to exude that vibe and by that, ill try my best to do exactly that.
YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE I'M PARTICIPATING IN ANOTHER ROUND OF LITTLE GUI TAKEOVER!!!!! To be honest, the second that I saw the prompts, I KNEW what to write for the May prompt which is about Guinaifun being a celebrity! For this one, I wanted to write another fic based on a song, and...well...I couldn't resist using Still into You by Paramore since I thought it'd fit for Gui reflecting on her life, specifically her relationship with the reader! Basically, I knew I wanted to write this fic with a love song in mind lol. Plus, I used to adore this song as a kid so I just wanted to share it uwu! I genuinely do have a problem with this song cause it fits a BUNCH of my ocs lol- I also mention Sushang, Huohuo, and Yunli in here but I didn't give them a lot of lines since this is mostly centered around Gui but I still wanted to mention them- sorry-

Guinaifen x Gender-Neutral Reader
Synopsis: "Some things just make sense, and one of those is you and I."
How many years had past?
Guinaifen couldn't recall.
Back in college, Guinaifen started a band with her close friends and rocked the campus with their music through trial and error. It was thanks to you becoming their manager that Guinaifen and her friends were able to make it big even after you all graduated.
One thing led to another, and...there you were; sharing a soft kiss underneath the setting sun.
There was never a guide to life, but that's fine for her. As long as she had everyone by her side, it should be okay. With you always holding her hand, placing gentle kisses onto her cheek, and whispering words of encouragement, she would always be able to fight against any challenge.
"...it's just a few more days..."
Guinaifen's eyes never left the calendar on her wall that marked an important date. No, not the concert date (which was also on the same day), but something else. Her heart thumped over and over as she attempted to close her eyes and focus. "I can do this," she muttered, clenching her pillow tight to her chest. "I'll make this the best show ever."
There wasn't time to waste. It's time to lock in.

"Gui?"
Guinaifen was snapped out of her thoughts as you called her name behind the stage. She shivered, her fingers tightly gripping the neck of her electric bass guitar, the metal strings digging into her finger tips. Once her eyes met yours, Guinaifen attempted to wipe the fear off of her face, returning your worried glances with a smile. "What's up?"
"Is everything alright?" you asked her. "You seem a lot more nervous than usual."
"Ahahaha...." a nervous chuckle left her lips. "Well...you caught me...! I can never hide anything from you."
"Is it something bad...? If...if there's something wrong, I'm always here to talk-"
"No, it's just-" Guinaifen gulped. "I really am nervous. I...just want this concert to be perfect. That's all."
Your expression softened as you gently embraced her into a hug, letting her rest her chin on your shoulder like you had done on hers multiple times before. "It'll be okay. All of you worked hard for this." You placed a gentle kiss onto her cheek.
Guinaifen took a deep breath, giving you a genuine smile. "...thanks, (Y/N)." As you released her, you called her name once more.
"Oh, and Gui?"
"...Yeah?"
You raised your fist. "Knock 'em dead."
Your fist met hers as she returned your fist bump, grabbing her guitar and running towards the stage. "Shangshang, HuoHuo, Yunli, let's do this!"
The crowd ran wild as the four girls ran onto the stage, and performed with all of their hearts. You merely watched from the crowd, tapping your foot to the beat as you listened to Guinaifen's strong, powerful vocals while she carefully plucked each bass string, Li Sushang's intricate guitar strumming, Huohuo's gentle keyboard, and Yunli's intense drums, all bringing together a strong harmony that you could never forget.
"Thank you for all of your support, everyone!!!" Guinaifen waved towards the crowd as they cheered. "Before this night is over, I...have something I wanna announce. Today...is my partner and my anniversary-"
You blushed the second she uttered those words. Seems like she didn't forget after all.
"The one you're still crazy for," Yunli couldn't help but tease.
"H-hey! Don't say it like that-!"
"But it's still true," Li Sushang giggled. "Ever since you two started dating, you never stop talking about them!"
"It's-" Huohuo chimed. "It's not a bad thing though...they always make you happy...so it's fine...!" Their reactions gave you second hand embarrassment as you blushed just like your beloved singer.
"Jeez..." Guinaifen wiped the sweat from her beet red face. "A-ahem...I wanna dedicate one more song for tonight. Just for them."
...one more song? You scrambled to find the set list you printed out, scanning the pamphlet over and over. What song was she talking about? There wasn't a fifth song-
"(Y/N)! I know you're there!"
You stared at the stage when she called your name.
"This one's for you! You better enjoy it!"
With a deep breath, Sushang began to strum.
"Can't count the years on one hand that we've been together."
...this...sounds familiar. You could have sworn you recognized the melody and lyrics from somewhere.

You sit on his floor comfortably reading a book
“Hey Kageyama you’ve never had your first kiss before right?” You ask causing Kageyama to drop the volleyball on his face
“Uhm what”
“Your first kiss you’ve never had it right?” You ask again now finding yourself at the edge of his bed near his face
You’re not too sure if his face is super red because a volleyball just landed on it or he’s embarrassed by the question. Either way it makes your heart beat faster
“Uhm no” he asks laying down looking at the ceiling avoiding contact with you
“Do you think you’ll ever have it?” You ask and Kageyama covers his face
You can tell he’s bright red now
“Why” he says muffled by his hands
“Because if you don’t think you’ll have it why not have it right now?” You ask and that suggestion causes him to shoot up sitting up against the wall with a shocked expression
“Why the hell would I want to do that?!” He asks and you shrug
“I mean your attractive and just in case I never have mine I wouldn’t mind you being my first kiss” you say shrugging
“Fine” he says and now it’s your turn to be shocked you didn’t really considering your silly question let alone agreeing
“Okay” you say trying to hide your nervousness
You plot onto the bed next to him
Your now staring at each other
You softly cup his cheek in your hand as you bring your lips together
His lips are softer than you expected
Your mind can’t focus on anything but his lips yet in the back of your mind you do hope Kageyama isn’t hating this
When you finally take your lips off of his to your shock he grabs your face and starts kissing you again
It starts to get a little heated so you break the kiss starting into each other eyes
“That was a great first kiss we should do it more often” he says straight faced and you laugh while he sits there confused
