Dear Diary, after four years, I finally saw my son, Spock, again. There was a human next to him, distracting him from his duties.  I could not find words to return Spock’s greeting.

Dear Diary, they call the human Doctor McCoy. He does not seem to have any boundaries. He immediately noticed something unusual about my brief retirement and questioned my wife about our son’s childhood. Amanda’s answer amused the doctor, and I have concerns that he won’t show Spock the respect my son deserves.

Dear Diary, Doctor McCoy saved my life. 

Addendum Spock risked his life to save mine.  He is a good son.
