From the creators of “Twelfth Grade (or Whatever)” and “The Grey Tarmac Road”, ParaFable presents a new web series about the trials and tribulations of growing up, and also the occasional magical mishap.
The Uncanny Upshurs airs Mondays and Thursdays from November 7th!

More not all creators are equal, and therefore the fandoms shouldn’t treat them as such, is what I was trying to say.

During 12gw’s run I saw plenty of critique that I took to heart, but did not respond to. But it’s hard to say that all fandoms are created equal. Some fandoms are so small that, like the anon said, the creators are likely to check the tag all the time. And yeah, maybe the PGG creators should have made a separate post. But holding to the same standards the creators of a show like Project Green Gables creators of a to a show like, say, Lovely Little Losers or Carmilla, does not seem entirely fair to me. The fandoms are vastly different sizes. One post in the LoLiLo tag during its run was one in a sea of posts; one post in the tag for Twelfth Grade makes me happy the whole day, and I’m sure the PGG creators feel the same. Reblogging the post and responding directly wasn’t a great idea. But while I would love for all creators to have their works held at equal standards, that’s just not the case, and never will be.
Sorry, bit long and rambley, but I guess what I’m trying to say, to consumers of content in general, is to realize that, when the show you’re watching isn’t as “big” as others, don’t be surprised when the creators respond to things like this. It may not be the best course of action, but it should not be considered equal to, say, Joss Whedon directly responding to Buffy criticism.
I don’t know, I feel like what I’m saying is gonna be taken the wrong way. Yknow what, this was originally gonna be a reblog of an ask @flutish got, but I should probably take my own advice and make it a separate thing.
