What's Left Behind
My take on what should have happened in that kitchen fight in 8x17
Buck moved off the counter bench and towards Eddie. "You don't think I did everything I could to save him?"
"I don't know, Buck," Eddie seethed. "I wasn't there."
Eddie moved towards the doorway that lead to the living room.
Buck blinked, anger seething up his chest. He turned to a retreating Eddie.“You’re the one who left.”
Fault Lines
When an earthquake hits Los Angeles, Buck and Eddie are forced to face more than just the shifting ground beneath them. In the wake of disaster, buried feelings rise to the surface—and once spoken, there's no going back.
Snippit:
A brutal, shuddering roar tore through the ground. Buck barely had time to shout Eddie’s name before the floor dropped out beneath them.
Where It Hurts, Where It Heals.
The missing airport scene we all needed in 8x16.
Grief still clings to Eddie’s skin, but in Buck’s arms, he starts to breathe again.
Chapters 3 and 4 are up for Hurts Like Hell
Buck broke the silence first. "Uhh, I changed the sheets on the bed before last shift."
Eddie gave Buck an inquisitive look.
"It's your room, Eds." Buck filled in. "I'll take the couch."
"It's actually your room." Eddie clarified. "And besides, you're too tall for it."

“They were getting rowdy, so I sent them outside.” Maddie’s voice came from behind him, sitting at the table.
“Good call.” Eddie nodded, turning to face her. “How are you?”
“Yeah, you know...” Maddie sighed, leaning back before rubbing her swollen belly. “ besides almost loosing my husband. All the hormones rushing around, but I’m doing better than Athena.”
Eddie bowed his head. Athena. “True.”
“Buck still asleep?” Maddie questioned as he moved to the table.
Fanfic alert
@evismurf and I have created our very first fic.
Please be kind. All comments welcome.
Snippet:
“What happened?” Eddie said softly, drawing back to look Maddie in the eyes. Her face fell as her eyes filled with tears.
“We never saw it coming.” Maddie whimpered as she began to breakdown. Karen guided her back to the sofa to sit.
Eddie raised his voice, getting frustrated with the lack of answers. “Will someone please tell me what’s happened?!”
What I would give for Buck and Eddie to have some kind of intimate, lingering moment - not quite a kiss but clearly pushing against the line of friendship - and then pull back and shut it down because Buck is still with Tommy and Eddie is not ready to come out.
And like, they've both already done the blowing up relationships with illicit affairs thing. They're not gonna do that to each other. Eddie hasn't even finished rebuilding from his last ill-advised encounter, Buck's not about to jeopardise his efforts to fix things with Chris. And Buck's so smitten with Tommy, he wants so badly for their relationship to work, Eddie would never let himself be the reason it didn't.
But the thing is. The thing is. Now it's out there. They're clinging to the facade of friendship with everything they have but it's too late. They've admitted there's a line there to cross, and now they can't walk it back. And Buck is trying so hard to be happy with his perfect boyfriend whose only crime is not being Eddie and who Buck still doesn't love the way he should. And Eddie is throwing himself into any distraction he can find, but with Chris gone he's slowly realising that almost everything he has left is Buck. And through all of it, they can't even talk to their best friend.
I just want the kind of pining that almost kills them, that's all.
Someone please write a fiction based on this 🙏
Eddie not only matches Bucks freak, but is also in fact very into it.
(a series of interesting choices)
