i'm totally convinced that peter's actions in homecoming were just out of confusion. he doesn't understand that the tony stark cares about him, why would he? all peter was trying to do is to get tony to care about him and see him as worthy, but that's just the thing, tony did. he did before he saved his plane. he did before germany. he did before showing up in his apartment. he did before he ever met him.
tony made the suit a while before civil war, he put in all these protocols to protect a kid—who soon becomes the kid—he doesn't even know. he saw a child in a onesie with powers and decided to take him under his wing.
peter never truly understands that tony genuinely cares about him, even after tony dies.
Peter doesn’t have very many friends. Tony doesn’t understand why— he’s very easy to love.
So when Peter describes Tony as his friend to the lady at the front desk to explain his visit, Tony wears that like a badge of honor.
“He’s my friend” to reassure Aunt May over the phone before a particularly dangerous mission. “He’s my friend” to warn his kidnappers that hell’s coming to them. “He’s my friend” when someone asks why he trusts Tony Stark, someone who got rich off of destruction, off of apathy.
Among the many, many things he’s been in his life— CEO of Stark Industries, Iron Man, an Avenger— being Peter’s friend is one of the things Tony’s most proud of.
idk if I've told this story on here before but one time I was sitting at my desk at work and a random dog I'd never seen before strolled into my office and curled up at my feet. and I was like oh you are adorable but what the fuck?
then a woman knocked on the door and said "oh I'm so sorry he's a therapy dog he's trained to seek out people in severe distress"
and I was like right okay, just getting my whole life drive-by roasted by a dog then
Narcissa is the easy child. She is the one who is left on her own because her parents assume she can handle herself. Narcissa is the child who gets talked over at the dinner table, and ignored when things get hard. Narcissa is self sufficient, not because she was born like that, but because she was forced to learn to be.
I know it's late to reblog this but i hc her as a pureblood witch. Her parents love her but put way too much pressure on her. They want her in the ministry but marlene wants to be a healer.
She really cares about her grades on Hogwarts and they're okay but not as good as Lily Evans'. She acts like she doesn't care, like her grades don't matter as long as she passes. She is smart, really smart, just not book smart.
She is a lesbian and loves Dorcas but her parents don't know. She doesn't know how to tell them, maybe they're homophobic and would hate her. Dorcas is okay with them not knowing, they have sleepovers during summer at Marlene's house but act as just best friends.
Eventually when the McKinnon house is attacked, Dorcas is there too. She gets Dorcas out but knows she has to try to defend her family.
She blocks a curse that was meant for her dad and attacks the death eater.
A few seconds later the death eater is dead. And she wanted to be a healer.
She doesn't have time to feel guilty because in minutes she dies too. The first one in her family, she thinks that maybe some of them made it out alive, never finding out they didn't.
Evan: (trying to guess the password) I heard 'quid', it has definitely something to do with quidditch. Quid-eggs?
Barty: (rolling his eyes) Don't be dumb. If it had something to do with quidditch, it would be Quid-dags or something. Or maybe squid ages. We should try that.
Evan: (staring at Barty like he's a dumbass) Squid ages? It sounded more like squid eggs. It's some ritual thing probably.
Regulus: (rubbing his temples) It's Quid Agis. Latin for 'how are you'.
Barty: No, don't be stupid Reg.
Barty: (walks to the portrait) Squid dags.
*The portrait opens*
Evan: (laughing) You were right!
*Sirius walks out of the portrait opening*
Sirius: (looking confused) What are you doing here, Reg?
Regulus: (crossing his arms) Do I need a reason to see my brother?
