Thank you all for the kind messages and for loving FnF enough to be upset that it's gone.

That said, I have to admit I feel a bit like a college professor right now, as my inbox currently contains a surprising number of variations of:

"But professor, can I get an extension?"

Unfortunately, the answer is no.

The fic has been privated and I won't be distributing copies myself. One of the reasons I removed it is that I am actively redeveloping the project into an original work. Continuing to hand out copies directly creates complications that I'd rather avoid.

That said, private friend-to-friend sharing is A-OK. If you missed the deadline, you can find fellow FnF readers who downloaded a copy and ask them nicely.

What I do ask is that people not repost it publicly or upload it to open public drives, Wattpad, Archive.org, Discord servers with hundreds of members, Telegram channels, etc.

If you're one of the many readers who saved a copy and don't mind helping out a fellow FnF enjoyer, feel free to leave a reply so people know who to contact.

I just ask that any sharing remain private rather than turning into a public archive or mass-distribution effort.

Thank you again for all the support, comments, rereads, theories, fanart, and enthusiasm over the years. The fact that so many people are still asking about FnF after all this time means more to me than you know. ❤️

After June 7, Forward but Never Forget will be going private, along with the YouTube podfic.

Which means this is your official "last call" announcement.

If you've been meaning to read it, finish it, reread it, download it for your rainy-day archives, listen to the podfic one more time, or finally figure out that one sinister easter egg buried between Acts etc, now is the time.

I've lived with this story for a super long time; longer than I ever expected, honestly. It has brought me friendships, opportunities, laughter, tears, art, music, and more late-night joy than I can express<3

Now we make way for the next chapter.

One small request:

Please don't repost or distribute the story in its raw form online, in public archives, forums, or file-sharing spaces after it's removed. Save a copy for yourself if you'd like, and feel free to print it or bind it as a private memento. But I'd appreciate it if it didn't continue circulating publicly once it's been retired.

Thank you to everyone who read it, listened to it, screamed about it, drew art for it, theorized about it, and treasured it enough to stick through all these chapters. I never expected it to matter to so many people, and am thankful to every single one of you<3

I think the strangest thing about all this is that, in my head, FnF still feels like that little story I started on a whim and expected maybe a handful of people to read. Then I blinked and somehow four years and over 1 mil words happened dfgdgds
