So, thinking again about Singer Vox back in the past. This time about powers and a little more about body. He'd have his usual, but I was thinking that the angelic power and angelic steel affected his hypnosis.
Backing up, I've been debating whether his headshape might change. That his head warps from the blast just before he's sent back. Simply because I am enamored with the space-age CRT tvs lmao. And I think that's a more neutral shape underneath draping cloth, which he'd be wearing to hide better and remain somewhat anonymous as a singer.
Beneath his veil, he keeps his screen off so that there is no glow.
Now, his hypnosis is usually in his left eye, and it can activate during stressful/excited moments. He was certainly stressed when the Might of Lilith exploded. That affected his hypnosis.
In this AU, the hypnosis swirl takes up the entire screen instead of just one eye. It spreads to the rest of the screen-wings, which he can extend to circle around a single target to enhance, refracting and reflecting, the power of the hypnosis. When he speaks his commands, there's an echo, siren-like, overwhelming and overpowering with a 'be not afraid' type essence.
He has to lift the veil to expose his screen, and it turns on bright, already swirling. He rarely takes out the wings bc they hurt coming out.
I am still debating whether or not his hypnosis can work on weaker angels bc he is embedded with angelic material.
When his demon form starts breaking through, on his shark tail, extra fins made of angelic metal from the Might of Lilith dig their way out of flesh. A dorsal fin of the same material comes out between his shoulder blades (but that's not directly tied to a demon form.) It's painful, he bleeds.
Honestly, Vox's existence in the past again is pretty chronically painful. He has a lot more weight on his bones, he's back to a CRT head, although it's a little easier to keep his head up nowadays bc his neck is reinforced.
