Tobias sat down on the tile floor of the studio, stareing up at the painting heād just finished with a grin. It had taken him hours and hours, his Master leaving him finally to go to bed for the day, and still the boy painted. He wanted this to be perfect. Wanted to surprise Armand with it when he woke. He was personally very proud of it. Tobi hoped his Master would be too, and could feel the affection and respect he had for the subject. He covered his mouth to hide a yawn, glancing at the clock on the wall.
Almost noon! Damn, no wonder he felt so tired. He looked down at himself, noting the paint smears across his hands and arms, and made a face. He probably had some on his face as well. He needed to take a shower before he laid down for the day, so Armand wouldnt scold him.
Right now though⦠right now he wanted to take a moment to appreciate what heād accomplished. He gave another yawn before leaving his face in his hands, eyelids getting heavy as he staredā¦
He didnt remember actually falling asleep.

Armand tilted his head back, resting his elbows on the edge of the tub behind him, letting his fingers dip into the surface of the water as Tobias washed his form. The warmth of the water almost giving Armand chills as he savored the heated touches of his mortal companion. His eyes closed, lips parted ever-so-slightly in pleasure. He felt the otherās erection against his abdomen, raising his head slowly and opening his eyes, he lowered one hand to slowly curl around the otherās erection beneath the water.
He kept his eyes fixed on Tobiasās face, looking for any sign of discomfort. His other hand moved down into the water as well, lightly resting on his hip, fingers brushing over the curve of his ass. He let the other male continue washing his torso, his own cock pressing against Tobiasās leg was quite hard, but for the time being, warm due to the surrounding hot water. This would be the best time to to this. So that he did not hurt or freeze Tobias into discomfort. Warmth, wet, and with Tobias in control of his own pleasure.
āIs this what you want, Tobias?ā he asked softly, fingers in the water slowly trailing down the crevice of Tobiasās ass, gently, slowly parting the two muscles to drag along and around his puckered entrance. āThis must be your choice⦠I cannot make it for you,ā he urged, watching the other male. āIf you want to stop, just say the word⦠and no hard feelings will there be. We can return to the way things have been.ā
Tobias gasped softly as he felt Armand touch him, those fingers still slightly cooler than the water around him as they curled around him, feeling so nice against his heated skin. Bright eyes darkened slightly as he resisted the sudden urge to thrust into his masters hand, hands shaking as he continued to wash the other male, following the order heād been given.
He shivered as Armandās other hand drifted to his behind, teasing him, and he faltered in his task finally to press back against taunting fingers, closing his eyes. He listened to the other ask him again again if he wanted this, giving him the choice, and he nodded. Yes, yes. He wanted this. The other mentioning going back to the way things were before, however, had the young mans head jerking up, eyes looking at Armand desperately.Ā āNo! no, I.. I do, I mean yes⦠Iā¦ā
Dammit, why couldnt he ever get his words to work? Especially when he got flustered. Nothing came out right. The only things he knew to say in times like this were just lines, coached over his whole life, lines to get by, lines to make the pain stop, lines to make people happy. But they felt so cheap right now, so unfit for whatever this was.Ā āDont want lines with youā¦ā He whined softly, closing his eyes and biting his lip before pressing his forehead to Armands, trying to let the other male see the words he wanted to say.
Yes, he wanted this. Wanted Armand. Wanted to belong to him, to give him everything he had. Not just because he owed him, but because heād given him choices, and because he was so beautiful it made the boys heart ache.Ā āWant you, please, Masterā¦ā He begged softly, trying to make himself understood.
Armand scanned over the otherās mind, eyes flashing over his face as the other male practically begged him. He hesitated, unwilling for a moment before he found what he was searching for. This was not out of some obligation that Tobias felt he owed to him. He pressed his finger into the tight channel of the mortal on top of him, slowly stroking his hand over his erection to ease the burn. He feared possibly breaking the boy. How ever had his Master taken such care with him?
He released the otherās cock, pulling the clothe from his hands and then resting a hand on the back of Tobiasās neck, fingers pushing into his hair slowly as he tugged Tobias down for a kiss, pressing another finger into his channel, bending his fingers to stroke over the other maleās prostate. He wanted this to be as painless as possible, and though he knew that Tobias was not a virgin, he did not want this to be like any other experience he had been forced to endure on the streets.
āSo beautiful, Tobias,ā he whispered softly against his lips, stroking the otherās neck and reaching up to stroke his cheek. āYou are in control here,ā he said then, watching him. āI want you to take your pleasure,ā he added. He was far too fearful to take it himself. He still had trouble sometimes with his victims, not snapping their necks in his thirst for their blood. He needed to work on that for this little mortal. But until then⦠Tobias could be in charge.
Whatever Armand had seen is his mind seemed to settle things, and Tobias gave a soft moan as he felt the others finger slip inside him, torn for a moment between pressing back against it or rocking into the others slowly stroking hand.Ā Then the hand at the front was gone, solving his dilemma for him, and he eagerly returned the others kisses as he pressed back against his hand.
He cried out softly as his master found that spot inside that made him see stars, a whimper falling from his lips. Fuck... no one had ever sought that out on purpose. Everyone was much too concerned for their own quick releases. But now.. oh, it felt so good. Tobias moaned into the other males mouth, not some practiced noise for past work but real and raw and ragged.Ā
Then Armand was pulling back to talk, to give him more control, more choices. To call him beautiful. Itās wasnt his own pleasure that the young man was most concerned with right now... it was his angelās. He wanted to see his beautiful master moan and arch and thrust. Wanted to see his face when he came. But he knew how to make that happen, still. He would put what he knew to good use.
He reached down and wrapped a hand around his masterās cock, stroking his hand over the hard flesh, rubbing his thumb over the slit at the tip. Bright eyes watching, testing to see what his soon-to-be lover liked best, even as he nuzzled against the others throat. As soon as Armand moved his fingers away the young man lined himself up over his master and sank down, impaling himself down to the hilt in one motion, hissing softly at the slight burn. Too long off the streets... getting soft...
He clamped his inner muscles around the sex inside him, pressing his lips to Armands marble tiers, soft pleading noises leaving his throat as he licked at them and begged entry. Even with the burn, he was so full now, and it felt so good. Fingers threaded through soft auburn hair, seeking gentle purchase to cling to as he rocked himself slowly up and down, teasing them both.

Armand allowed Tobias to lead that night, even following his suggestions. He still struggled to paint at a normal pace around Tobias and wondered how Marius had pulled it off so flawlessly for so long. The wall was no where near finished, but as he stood back, he smiled a bit at what he saw. He lookef to Tobias then covered in paint while Armand had not a speck on him. He shook his head slightly.
āLet us call it a night. Sunrise will be soon. And I think you need another bath.ā He reached down, taking Tobiasās hand and lead him from the studio. Though they did not go to Tobiasās room, not the bathroom that was connected. Armand lead Tobias to a different part of the house. A portion of the house he had told Tobias to stay away from.
He released Tobiasās have and opened a for, revealing a very large bathroom with a largr tub sunk into the floor. There were several taps all around the edge. Armand stepped into the room, removing his coat and turning toward Tobias. He held out his hand in invitation.
āWould you care to join me or would you prefer your own shower. The choice is yours, Tobias. Always.ā
Tobias looked over at the other male as he called it a night, grinning sheepishly as the paint covering him was mentioned. He couldnt help it⦠when he was painting, he lost himself in it. If he had to wipe his face or had an itch he didnt stop to think to clean his hands first. And sometimes if you ran out of room on the palette and had too much paint of the brush, wiping it across your wrist helped. It all usually made him quite the mess.
āAlrightā¦ā He was sad to see the night end, though. Except for his own issues, it had been wonderful. Painting with someone who wanted to work with you had its own charm and appeal. And having Armand all to himself had been wonderful as well. He just needed to keep reminding himself not to want more. More was selfish. He had already been given more than he had ever imagined possible.
He let Armand take his hand and lead him from the room, expecting to be taken to his own bathroom⦠only for his angel to take him farther into the mansion, to places heād been warned away from. He couldnt help but frown in confusion, but he stayed quiet, trusting the other male for whatever was going on. His eyes lit up when they entered a bathing area much larger than his own, stareing at all the taps. Why so many? Was this one of those jacuzzi things heād heard about? Was he getting to bathe here as another treat for his birthday?
Then Armand started to remove his coat, and his words made the little painterās throat feel tight. Was he offering what Tobi thought he was? And it really was an offer⦠not an order. He wanted to know if Tobi really wanted this⦠and somehow the boy felt confident that if he said no, and walked away, Armand would really let him. This wasnt a trick, or manipulation, like heād dealt with before. He bit his lip slightly, stareing at that hand. Did he really want this?
He looked up at the other male then, taking in the sight of him, remembering the kisses and gentle touches, and how much he enjoyed this magnificent beings company. Yes. He wanted this. If he never made another choice in his life, that was alright. He would make this one. He was being offered more, and he would take it.
His mind made up, Tobias stepped closer and took the others hand, lifting it up to kiss the palm of it gently. āWith you. Always with you.ā He answered, hesitating just slightly before letting go of the hand and stepping closer, hands moving to the buttons of Armandās shirt. He looked up at the other male to make sure this was alright as he undid the first, then the second, warm fingertips skating over cold marble
Armand watched Tobias debate, listening to his thoughts as he thought it over before approaching him and actually kissing the palm of his hand like some sort of romantic. Armand raised an eyebrow at the action before the other male was stepping closer to him. Ah, there was the bold boy he had seen on the streets. He had wondered when he would see him again. He remained still, allowing Tobias to slowly reveal more of himself than Tobias had yet to see. Would he run?
Would he touch the marble skin, see how pale he was in comparison to himself and know him for an inhuman. Truly inhuman? He closed his eyes, almost shivering at the warm touch of the otherās fingers on his skin as his chest and abdomen were revealed. He reached up, undoing the buttons at the cuffs of his sleeves and letting his shirt slowly slide from his body. He caught it deftly before it hit the floor and draped it with his jacket, standing now before the other male with the top half of his body completely exposed.
His skin was as flawless as the day he was created, though hardened with age. He reached up, undoing the snaps of the otherās apron, and moved to reach around him, untying the waist strap and tossed it to the sink. He then let his fingers move to tug Tobiasās shirt slowly over his head. His fingers ran up the otherās sides as he drew his shirt upward, his eyes never leaving those of his pet.
His shirt was discarded, like the apron, over the sink. He moved away from Tobias then, kneeling down and turning on one of the taps. āOne is for scented perfumes, the other for bubbles, would you like either?ā he asked, glancing over his shoulder at the other male carefully.
He was even more beautiful than Tobias had imagined. His skin was so hard and smooth, and cool to the touch. Not at all like the sweaty, grimy flab he was used to. This was like touching a statue, one of those beautiful marble ones heād seen in pictures before. And Armand was just letting him, not stopping him at all from undressing him. Then he was helping Tobi out of his shirt and apron, always watching the little painters face.Ā
Once he finally looked away and moved to kneel by the taps the mortal almost whined at the distance, but stopped himself, watching the other male.Ā āBubbles..ā He responded, his voice slightly rougher than normal, not used to wanting this, this much. Heād always liked bubbles. Perfumes were too sickly sweet, with bad memories hanging onto them.Ā
He shook his head, determined not to let himself fall into those thoughts right now, and quickly undid and shed his own pants. He laid them in the sink with his other clothing, leaving himself bare to Armand now. The boys skin might look tan next to Armandās, but over all he was pale, his hair kept shaved by force of habit even now. A few scars and small, circular burn marks could be seen along his back and thighs, the skin there slightly pinker and paler in the way old scars tended to be. He was slightly smaller than he should be at 18, years of neglect keeping him underdeveloped, but he was far from unappealing in his own lean, wiry way.
He moved closer to Armand then, ignoring his own clearly hardened member to kneel beside Armand and press his lips against the others again, sighing softly at the contact. His hands moved to Armandās pants then, not thinking of how to remove them in this position so much as thinking he just really wanted them gone now, so he could see his Master fully.
Armand looked up as he heard Tobias shifting. He turned one of the taps, filling the tub with a bubble solution and then turned to watch him undress. He closed his eyes as the male pressed against him, kissing him, the warmth of his fingers seeping into his cold skin. He gripped Tobiasās arms, gently guiding him into the warm water and straightened up. He unbuckled his belt, letting the mortal watch him as he pulled it free, coiling it and setting it on the table. He then undid his pants, stepped from his shoes and let the fabric fall from his form. Perfect hips were revealed as the fabric slid down the curve of his ass.
He stepped from them, folded them and set them on the table. He walked towards the tub then, a predatory gait in his walk stil as he stepped into the tub, slowly submerging his form in the water and then moving to sit down. He raised a hand, water rolling over his skin, and beckoned Tobias to come to him in the tub. āCome. I want you to wash me,ā he said softly. It would allow Tobias to explore him, become comfortable with touching him. Embolden him, perhaps. His Master had always liked it when Armand bathed him, and Armand had loved washing him as well.
Tobias gave a soft whine as Armand pulled away, guiding him into the tub with so little effort youād think he was handling a small child and not a young man. But he didnt fight, biting his lip and trying to wait patiently, watching Armand carefully undress with a hunger in his eyes that only this being seemed to bring out. Every part of his master was just as perfect as the last.Ā
He watched Armand stalk slowly towards the tub, settling into it and looking for all the world like royalty. And Tobias was so eager to serve. As soon as his master beckoned him closer he slid through the water to him, climbing up to straddle his lap and claiming one more greedy kiss with a small smile. Wash him, he had said... yes, he could do that. Any excuse to touch this being more.
He picked up a soft-looking loofah and soap from the edge of the tub, lathering up the cloth before sliding it slowly over the others cool, hard skin, up his arm and over the shoulder, then down his chest to the waters edge before sliding back up. He watched the water bead up on his masters perfect skin, rolling off without absorbing in at all. Amazing...
He took his time cleaning his masterās chest and arms, enjoying the feel of the other beneath his hand, then rinsed the loofah out in the water and carefully wiped away all the soap, fascinated still by the way the water formed perfect droplets and rolled away. He leaned forward on a whim to try and catch one, flicking his tongue over the throat, giving a small shiver as the motion had his erection rubbing against the other male skin.

And having Armand all to himself had been wonderful as well. He just needed to keep reminding himself not to want more. More was selfish. He had already been given more than he had ever imagined possible.
He let Armand take his hand and lead him from the room, expecting to be taken to his own bathroom... only for his angel to take him farther into the mansion, to places heād been warned away from.
And it really was an offer... not an order. He wanted to know if Tobi really wanted this... and somehow the boy felt confident that if he said no, and walked away, Armand would really let him.
Lessons
@the-immortal-boy
Armand waved his hand dismissively. āI know I didnāt. But I wanted to,ā he stated matter-of-factly. āEvery boy deserves to celebrate his birthdayā¦ā he stated simply, with a hint of sadness in his own voice and expression. āIt isnāt every day that a boy turns 18.ā And some never would. Not that he regretted that, of course. But he never celebrated a birthday after his 17th.
At 18, he was the leader of the Children of Satan in Paris. At 18, he had been dead. A living shadow of the boy his Master had raised. At 18, Armand had been born, and Amadeo had died. He watched Tobias pick up the shrimp, smiling at him with encouragement. He reached out, lightly running a smooth hand through his hair. ā
āThen stay in we will. We will paint. How about we start on the other wall of the studio tonight? You and I.ā He let his hand fall from his hair gently and return to his glass, drinking the last vestige of my previous victim. āWhat do you think we should paint there?ā he asked simply, setting his glass down. āOnce youāve eaten, of course, mon petit garcon.ā
Tobias picked at his shrimp and vegetables slowly, leaning into the gentle petting from his Master with a smile. Damn, this was the best birthday heād ever had, and they hadnt even left the table yet. Part of him would be perfectly content if the rest of the evening was just him sitting at Armandās feet and receiving these gentle touches.
But Armand sounded⦠almost sad? He tilted his head slightly, watching the other male. āDid you ever get birthdays?ā He asked quietly, curious. Were angels born, or just made? He picked up one of the grab legs, peering at it dubiously and tapping it lightly against his plate. This was food? How were you supposed to eat it?
He gave a soft sad noise as Armand stopped petting him finally, watching his angel finish his drink.Hmmm. What to paint. He glanced at the table, eyes landing on the fish. āā¦.a coral reef?ā He asked, glancing back up at Armand. āthere were pictures in this book at the hospital once⦠really vibrant colors with fish and coral and seashells.ā He smiled.Ā āWhat does garcon mean?ā
Armand slowly reached over, cracking open the crab leg easily in his hands, exposing the soft meat within the shell. He picked up Tobiasās napkin to wipe the juices from his fingers before leaning back in his seat. āA coral reef sounds very lovely,ā he stated with a small smile, watching the other male. He looked away at his mortalās thoughts.
āI was born. A very long time ago in a far off country,ā Armand revealed slowly. āBut you see, I was Made the way that I am when I was 17. Over five-hundred years ago, my boyā¦ā he said, looking over at Tobias with a sad smile. āEvery birthday you get is a treasure. None should be wasted.ā
He leaned forward, clasping his hands on the table around his empty glass. āGarcon. It is french. The language I have spoken for most of my life. It means āboyā.ā He looked over at the other male with a smile. āMon petit garcon. My little boy.ā
Ooooh, thatās how those opened. Alright. He took the broken halves of the crab leg from the other male with a grateful smile, picking at the meat inside and tasteing it. His eyebrows shot up in surprise. So much better than shrimp! Hard to get to, maybe, but the meat was so soft and almost sweet. This had to be one of the best thingās heād ever eaten.
So apparently angels were born and made, then. āDo you remember what day it was? When you were born.ā 500 years! Armand hadnt been teasing him about being much older then. Though his comment on borthdays being a treasure got a slight frown.
ābirthdaysā¦. mean getting older, right? No one likes you when your older.ā He said softly, still slowly picking at his food. People got rid of you then. Didnt want to touch you. He paused, glancing back up at Armand. Was that why his Master didnt seem to desire him? Because he was too old now?
āNo, I do not remember,ā he stated simply, looking back at Tobias. He wondered if Marius even remembered. He would ask him if he did not want to seem weak to his Master. āI have told you before, I am no angel,ā he stated matter-of-factly, watching Tobias carefully. āPlease, do not see me as an angel. Do not set me to that standard.ā He looked away, out the window of the dining room as Tobias ate.
āDonāt you worry about getting older. Youāre just barely grown, Tobias. Forget about those who have hurt you in the past. Forget the things they have said. Enjoy your life as it is now. They are all nothing to you, now. You have everything you could ever want.ā He looked back to Tobias. āA clean home. Money. Paints. Clean clothes.ā He reached out, gently touching Tobiasās jaw. āIf you wanted to go shopping, you have the means to do so. You can do whatever you want, Tobias. They are nothing.ā
Tobias was slowly picking at his food, his appetite fading slightly from his mood, and as Armand started to lecture him about the angel thing he reached for the napkin, wiping his mouth and hands before pushing the plate aside.
But then Armand was reaching out to touch him and encourage him, and the boy leaned into the touch as he listened. After a moment he gave a smile, reaching to take the hand on his face and turn his head to kiss it. āAngels are beautiful, good beings that help and protect people⦠thats all I know. So how can you not be an angel? You saved my life, and youāve given me everything.ā He nuzzled against the hand then before turning to looks back at Armand, trying to find the right words.
āAnd you are so beautiful, Master. You might not technically be an angel, but⦠you are -my- angel. I cant help thinking that way.ā
Armand sighed, watching the other male as he picked at his food then went on about the angel thing again. āYou are not the first person to describe me as such,ā he stated simply, looking away from the other male once more. āMy Master⦠when I was your age⦠and younger even⦠he used to say that I resembled an angel. One of Bottcelliās angels. He would paint me, depicted as one. I told him once that if I were an angel, I should have black wings.ā He smiled faintly at the memory.
He looked back at Tobias. He looked at the food on the table then back to the boy. āAre you finished?ā he asked softly, watching him. He smiled, rising up from the table. āCome. I have a gift for you,ā he stated easily. He lead Tobias back to the studio. Moving into the room rarely entered that contained quite a few older paintings, and returned with a box. He handed the box to Tobias and stepped away. Within, he would find a set of near pristine vintage paintbrushes. From the very smallest detailing brush to the largest handheld brush you could have for painting vast walls or ceilings.
āThese are similar to what I learned with,ā Armand said simply as he watched the other male open them. āI find that the bristles are much better than modern brushes. modern brushes are hard to wash, and they get stiff so easily because they are artificial. These are all natural,ā he stated, offering the boy a small smile. āNowā¦ā he waved his hand to the empty wall behind him. āWhere do we start, Tobias?ā
The gift was beautiful, like everything Armand had given him. The other male pretty much spoiled the boy relentlessly. Clothes, paints, canvas, expensive food, his own room and bed and...
Why couldnt he just feel satisfied? He felt so greedy, wanting the other males attention so much. But he did. Heād trade most of these other things in a heartbeat to be able to give something back to his Master.Ā
But for now he smiled and ran his fingers over the vintage brushes, trying to push away any negative thoughts and just enjoy all of this.Ā āThank you, Master.ā The brushes were beautiful, and painting with Armand was an amazing opportunity. he was just being ungrateful. He watched Armand gesture at the wall with so much excitement and gave a genuine grin.Ā āBlue background? Start the water...ā
Hours later he leaned close to the wall, using one of the detailing brushes to add one last white strip to a colorful tropical fish before stepping back and looking over the mural, feeling pleased and accomplished. It wasnt done, of course, not even with the speed Armand worked at, but it was a fantastic start.Ā āWhat do you think, Master?ā

@the-immortal-boy
Armand stared at the painting that was on the easel stand. It was not the first time his likeness had been painted, though definitely the first time by human hands. Perhaps because he had seen his likeness painted by an immortal he thought this one had a⦠simplicity to it that Mariusās paintings never did. Mariusās were detailed, exquisitely. It was quite lovely, however.
He looked at the sleeping form of his pupil on the floor, shaking his head slightly. He was covered in paints, as usual, and looking rather dishevelled. He leaned down, lifting the boy up into his arms and carrying him easily to the bathroom. craddling him against his knee as he knelt down, he turned on the water of the tub and slowly, gently, disrobed the boy. He stood, leaning over, and gently lowered Tobias into the water.
A small smirk as the boy woke up upon being placed in warm water. āBonsoir, Tobias. You shouldnāt sleep on floors, you know. You have quite an expensive bed in your room upstairs, you know.ā Yet how many times had he slept in places that he shouldnāt have when he was a boy? āGet cleaned up, I brought something special for your dinner.ā
Tobias woke up slowly as he felt himself being moved, but once he realized it was Armand he relaxed, nuzzling closer to the other male, trusting him. Contact with the water, however, did elicit a sharp yelp from the human as he snapped out of his half dream state, looking around in surprise before blinking at Armand.
Heād fallen asleep? Oh⦠right. He remembered sitting on the floor now, being tired⦠He gave the other male a sheepish smile, grateful he wasnt angry.Ā āIām sorry, Masterā¦ā Remembering the painting he sat up in the water, gripping the edge of the tub and looking very much like an excited puppy.Ā āDid you see it? The painting? Did you like it?ā
Armand paused at the door, one hand on the doorframe as Tobias moved to the edge of the tub and asked if he had seen the painting. He smiled indulgently. How innocent he was, despite his past. āYes, I saw it,ā he stated simply. āIt is quite good. There are ways to improve, I will show you later. We will paint together.ā
He turned back toward the other male then, kneeling by the bathtub and taking the cloth. He dipped the rag into the water and reached up with it, gently scrubbing at the paint on Tobiasās cheek. āYou have paint all over. We will work on that as well. There is no need to splatter paint everywhere when you work. It is a waste of paint.ā He dipped the washcloth back into the water and proceeded to wipe the paint from the rest of the boy as well.
The option to paint together with his master thrilled him, and the boy beamed. He wasnt even upset at the slight criticism, knowing that of course it wasnt going to be perfect, especially not compared to Armandās talent. But it was good, and it had made his Master smile. No higher praise did he wish for.
Then Armand was bathing the paint from him and gently scolding him about the paint, as Tobi knew he would, and the little human couldnt help but smile at him. It was⦠amazing, having someone actually care about you. Tobias never had that before.
Heād also never desired someone like he desired Armand, either. He was so beautiful. Even now, the other male was just scrubbing paint off his arms, but those touches were starting to affect the little painter. He bit his lip before looking up at Armand, his tone soft and pleading. Eager still to be of use. āWhy not join me? I could wash you then, Masterā¦ā
Armand looked up at Tobias as he wad asked to join him. Ah yes that look. How many times had he given Marius that same look? Begged him also to share his bath? He shook his head slightly. āNot yet, my boy.ā He reached up, cold hand made warmer by the water, gently cupping Tobiasās cheek. He should give him something though. Marius would have.
He leaned in, pressing a kiss to Tobiasās lips. He kept it chaste, even as the warmth of Tobias drew him in. He raised his lips gently to Tobiasās forehead. He dipped the cloth bavk into the water, bringing it up over Tobiasās chest and then gently pressing the cloth to his hand
āHurry down,ā he said softly, smiling gently as he stood and headed away from the bath tub to the door.
Not yet. Always not yet. NeverĀ ānoā. But neverĀ āyesā. Always leaving the poor boy so hopeful that if he could somehow just get better, then maybe it would be enough. It was the closest Tobi came to feeling frustrated with his angel, and even then it was more directed at himself.Ā
At least the kiss was nice. So cool against his lips. He made a soft whining noise as the other male pulled away, but took the washrag without any other complaint.Ā āYes, Master.ā The kiss also didnt help what was going on below water, but there wasnt much the boy could do about that. Taking care of it would feel unsatisfying. It always had, even before Armand, when some mornings his body just had a mind of its own. And that was when he didnt even want these things.
So he ignored it, and scrubbed himself free of paint, trying to think about what the treat could be instead. Some new fancy food? Something interesting Armand wanted him to try and practice painting? Both were intriguing thoughts, and even though the painting idea was more exciting, his stomache clenched at the thought of food. Ah, right. Heād been so focused painting he hadnt eaten since before Armand had gone to bed the previous day.
As soon as he was properly clean the boy finished getting ready and dressed, hurrying downstairs to see what was going on.
Armand had prepared a magnificent spread over the dining room table. He sat at the head of the table, a wine glass in hand full of a deep red liquid. On the table were plates full of seafood. It was something he had not gotten for his mortal yet, and he wondered if he would enjoy it. Crab, lobster, shrimp, cod, salmon. There were seasoned bread balls, and biscuits. A bottle of wine, and steamed vegetables. He gestured with one pale hand to the table.
āHappy birthday,ā he stated simply. Heād plucked the date from his mortalās mind ages ago, though he wondered if Tobias had even remembered it himself. From what heād gathered from Tobiasās memories, he did not often have a reason or the means to celebrate it. āTonight, we shall do whatever it is that you wish. It is your night,ā he replied easily. āDo you want us to paint together? Do you want to go out tonight? We can do whatever it is that you want.ā He took a drink from the glass, the deep liquid filling his mouth. He closed his eyes slowly, enjoying it and rather sad that it was the last of the victim he had disposed of only moments before while Tobias still bathed.
Tobias wandered into the dining room and stared in surprise at the feat laid out before him. Heād been expecting one dish, not a buffet! And what were some of these things? He recognized the shrimp, and even the fish, as things heād eaten at the hospital before. Though the shrimp had been cooked differently, and had been much smaller. The things with shells however left him uncertain. The one with all the legs kind of looked like a giant bug.
Birthday? The human turned his confused stare towards his master now, blinking slowly. It was his birthday? How had Armand known? Even he hadnt remembered. No one had ever celebrated him. The only reason he knew of a date linked to his life at all at been the man whoād owned him as a child. Heād gotten angry on that day. Because Tobi got older every year. And the man hadnt liked Tobi getting older.
But now here his Master had laid out a feast just for him, and was telling him they could do whatever he wanted. Armand was actually trying to celebrate his birthday. The boy couldnt help but feel touched, his love for his angel only growing.Ā āYou didnt have to do this Master...ā He wanted to go kiss him, and hold him, and murmur thank yous against his cold skin. But not right after heād been denied yet again.
Instead he took his seat, stareing at the food and carefully picking at the shrimp, smiling at Armand.Ā āThank you for all of this. But... i like the idea of staying inside tonight. And Iād love to paint with you.ā
Marius simply nodded. āYes. Canvases are a wonderful medium but consider giving him more room to stretch. Walls. You can easily teach him about composition when you simply enlarge the area he is working on.ā Sometimes I truly hated that he couldnāt read Armand anymore. It made his boy so distant and cold, so uncaring. āAnd yes, I believe I will stay. I would like to see more of your work. Both of you. Alsoā¦ā A smile crept into the corner of his mouth. āI see that you have taken care of his education as a painter, given him food and clothes but what about culture? Have you ever taken him to the museums? The opera? The ballet? Ever taken him to ancient ruins of Rome, or our beloved Venice?ā And to Tobias he said: āI know it is hard to grasp but there is more in the world than painting⦠and selling yourself so you can paint some more.ā
āYes, I planned to. He tells me he has painted even on glass before, I think that might make an interesting project actually. Several panes of glass to create a three-dimentonal image using paints.ā Armand glanced to Tobias and gave him a small smile. Armand was pleased that Marius would be staying with them. He looked back to his Master, his smile softening ever-so-slightly.
āExcellent, Master,ā he stated simply. When Marius asked what else heād done with Tobias he glanced to the mortal. āNot yet, unfortunately. I only found him a few weeks ago⦠I have been busy attempting to make the proper adjustments for his care and education.ā His gaze then moved to Marius. āWould you like to do some of these things with us while you are here?ā
How splendid would it be to attend the opera or the ballet with Marius and Tobias? His Master and his Pupil. He took a step forward, almost reaching out to the older immortal, though stopped himself before he embarassed himself further. āI could get us entry to any of the opera houses nearby with simply a phone call. The same for the ballet. You have but to state a preferance, Master.ā
He looked then to Tobias. āWould you like that, Tobias? An evening out? Take a break from your paintings? We can always come back to them at a later time,ā he offered, reaching out to gently touch Tobiasās shoulders. āGo change into something suitable. The blue, perhaps. Or the white. Yes⦠the white.ā
So, he wasnt in trouble then? Armand seemed happier now. Maybe heād misread the look. He returned Armands smile, his relief probably comical to the two ancient beings.
It was weird to see his angel constantly asking for someone elseās opinion when he was usually so confident and demanding. But Tobi supposed maybe he just felt the same for Marius as Tobi did for Armand. So it made a sort of sense. And if it made Armand happy, then it was good, as far as the little painter was concerned. Anything that made Armand happy was good.
He⦠did not know, however, what an opera or a ballet were. Museums he knew, those had paintings right? And Rome was⦠a place? Wait, ballet sounded slightly familiar. But only because of a costume from⦠those days. For the pictures to sell. The skirt had been itchy and the shoes pinched. But other than the cheaply made outfit he remembered, he didnt know what ballet was actually for. Still, it seemed to excite both of the other males, so he would play along. He could paint later, Armand had just promised.
Once heād been ordered he nodded and scuttled out of the studio, heading to his bedroom to primp and clean up before changing into the white suit he knew his Master loved on him. It was pretty, he supposed⦠he just had to try so hard to keep it -clean-. Once he was ready he headed back down, looking for the other men.
The moment Tobias left the room Marius turned to Armand and kissed him again. Deeply, hard. He was jealous although it was absolutely ridiculous to be jealous of a mortal child. But he was, he couldnāt help it. His hand rested at the back of Armandās neck. He gave him no way to escape, or even to move much. It was greedy, possessive and entirely domineering. Barely half a minute later it was over. He stepped away from him with a soft sigh.
āSo⦠You did as I told you to do. Good. Well done, Armand. I wish you the best of lucks.ā He straightened up. āNot the opera. The boy has trouble articulating himself. We donāt want to trouble with him with more words. The ballet. It might turn out therapeutic for him. Iām sure youāve seen his past. So, something beautiful. Something sad. Something ohā¦ā A smile spread across his face. āSwan Lake by Matthew Bourne. Yes. Perfect. Make the call.ā
It was a modern ballet and all male performance of the original. Still with Tchaikovskyās music but the implications were very different. Very homoerotic. Achingly beautiful. A fantastic inspiration for painting.
Marius nodded approvingly when Tobias returned. āBeautiful boy, yes. Now, tell me Tobias, any reason we should not take you to the ballet?ā
// My favorite bit from the ballet
Armand was a bit surprised when Marius turned to him with such passion, yet it was met back with equal fervor. He gave a soft groan, pressing against the form of his Master, one hand circling up around his neck, into his hair and the other fisting in his red velvet cloak. He opened his mouth in invitation, feeling an almost uncontrollable need to give his Master everything. There was just a faint whine as his Master pulled away from him. He let his hand slide back down from Mariusās head, though kept one hand still on Mariusās chest.
āYes, Master,ā he whispered softly, feeling just a bit overwhelmed by the sudden flare of passion from the usually collected Roman. He looked up at him, watching him, searching for any sign that his Master might wish something more of him. He pulled away only when he heard the footsteps of Tobias returning. āYes, the ballet. That would be quite lovely,ā he stated easily. He knew well of Tobiasās past, and it was indeed why he had chosen him. Tobias was so like himself. Marius had given him a new life, saved him, and so he felt it was only right that the mortal he take on should have the same chances.
He looked to Tobias as he entered and smiled faintly. Yes. White. Purity. Innocence. Though the boy was no stranger to dark allies, there was still an innocence to him that couldnāt be ravaged by the savage thrusts of strangers. He reached out, lightly gripping Tobiasās chin and then ran his fingers through Tobiasās hair with care, pressing it back away from his face. āPerfect,ā he stated simply. āI will see to the tickets for the ballet. I think that you will greatly enjoy it.ā He noted the boys confusion about ballet.
āIt is a show, performed on stage. A story told through dance.ā He pulled out a cell phone and dialed a number, easily dropping his name and reserving three stage-side seats for himself, his master, and his pupil.
Tobias smiled slightly at the praise from Marius, his need for it appreciating the words even though they didnt come from the person he wanted. āThank you, sir.ā
And the Armand -was- praising him, and the boy soaked it up like a flower seeking sunlight, closing his eyes and leaning into the others touch, and looking like a disappointed puppy once it was over and Armand pulled away to dial the number. āA dance?ā
The next question from Marius had him tilting his head slightly, confusion clearly showing in his face as he glanced from Marius to Armand and back. Reason they shouldnāt take him? Was he in trouble after all? But he thought the entire reason they were going was because Marius thought he needed something called called culture, right? āā¦No, sir? I⦠cant think of anyā¦ā

Lessons
@the-immortal-boy
