Some advice based off of your favorite Haikyuu!! characters:

Daichi: You're doing a great job taking care of those you love. Make sure that you take care of yourself as well.

Sugawara: There are going to be people that you think are better than you. Do not try to squeeze into a mold. Do not compare yourself to others. You are great in your own way.

Asahi: Sometimes you're going to mess up. Get up, and dust yourself off. Making mistakes is okay, because you will learn from them.

Nishinoya: It's not your fault, as much as you want to blame yourself. Go easier on your friends and on yourself. In time, everything will be fine.

Tanaka: You care a lot about others and you always know how to make someone laugh. Make sure that doesn't get you into trouble, though, and make yourself laugh sometimes, too.

Ennoshita: You are destined for great things. Your time will come, just you wait. Patience is a virtue, and you are doing just fine.

Kageyama: You could be a bright star, but constellations are brighter. Other people are there for you. Appreciate them.

Hinata: People are going to look down on you. Don't let that get you down. You are incredible, a flower that sprouted through concrete.

Tsukishima: Show your appreciation in all things you enjoy. Don't take the little things for granted, because you know that they are important to you.

Yamaguchi: Just because you can't do something at first does not mean you will never be able to do it.

Kiyoko: Make sure that you call yourself beautiful today. You're beautiful because you are you. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Yachi: Don't think of yourself as a background character. You are so much more. You can fight too.

Oikawa: You are wonderful, remember that. No matter who else comes around, and no matter what they can do, you are still wonderful. Someone else's wonder is not greater than yours.

Iwaizumi: You did your best. There was nothing you could do. Accept it, and forgive yourself. If you face the sun, your shadow has no choice but to fall behind you.

Kuroo: Keep being a wonderful leader. You are someone who could joke around but could also be very serious if you needed to be. Sleep being that person that you are, and continue to be there for them.

Kenma: Stop what you're doing and spend some time with the people you love. Even though it may be hard to get your feelings out, it is still important that you try. You can do it.

Lev: Keep working at what you love. You may not be the best at it, but it is obvious that you are trying. With all that ambition, you are going to go very far.

Bokuto: Try to not let the little things get you down. It's hard, and sometimes you may want to give up, but you can do it. You can soar.

Akaashi: You are so good at calming others and being there for them. Keep doing what you do, and leave footprints of kindness wherever you go.

Michimiya: You don't have to cry behind clothes doors. You may want to protect them, but it is important that you do for yourself as well. If you don't tell people how you feel, they will never know.

Saeko: You're one tough cookie, but don't be afraid to show a softer side of you. Continue to look out for those around you, and let yourself sleep in once in a while.

Holding Your Ground (ch 219 spoilers)

SO I know I don’t normally post stuff like this, but there was a ~*~KageHina~*~ moment in the newest chapter that I really want to talk about because it just hit me really hard, as a benchmark for any kind of relationship you want to ascribe to Kageyama and Hinata’s role as partners. That being said, THERE WILL BE SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 219 (released 08/25/2016) IN THIS POST so if you are avoiding spoilers for the manga, please skip ALL of this! 

As Hinata is getting ready to head out from the training camp, he’s stopped by Kindaichi, who asks (with great difficulty LOL <3) how Kageyama is doing/if he’s doing well (I was reading the mangapark translation). He’s still pretty thrown by the King of the Court’s major 180 in terms of playstyle once arriving at Karasuno, and who could blame him?? But Hinata sees things differently. He responds with:

First: What strikes me here is that Hinata is remembering Kageyama openly admitting how painful and scary that was for him, that he was all alone, unable to pull back from the edge of his own ability, and how it isolated him from everyone around him. How that loneliness was a product of his own making, with his take no prisoners attitude. 

Second: there is an implicit reminder here - no one could spike Kageyama’s insane quick tosses back then. But not anymore. Because Hinata is there. 

Hinata then goes on to say that he thinks it’s just normal, “to be at each other’s throats”. Kindaichi asks him what he means and he says:

[mic drop] holy fuck, Hinata!!! He just goes 0 - 100 on the Kageyama Defense Squad duties right here <3 

Also - Hinata has a ton of experience in his own right with following his own advice in never backing down, but that’s exactly why he understands Kageyama’s own strong will so much. In my opinion, I think he is saying that Kageyama’s drive and stubbornness back in middle school was completely justified - I don’t think he means to reprimand Kindaichi, but man, that was kind of a huge “just STFU about the middle school shit already” statement. 

That being said. Right before this, he came out with this huge reminder that it was only back then that no one could hit Kageyama’s tosses. But Kageyama, despite being scared, and alone, and outcast, does not fucking quit. He does not back down a single fucking inch. He keeps tossing like he always did, he forces people to work up to his level, and because of that? 

He found the person who can spike his tosses. He found someone to make invincible, who makes him unstoppable. He found someone who makes him work to get better. 

Kageyama found a partner in Hinata because he never stopped trusting in his own worth, and that’s why he’s doing just fine.
