All the ships already have their theories regarding their endgame and it's so... sketchy(? Like K/L watched the sunset, weren't ooc when they were with each other and had a moment with smily faces and hand holding (there was a hug ik) two episodes before the end and you're telling me p/l was canon? I really don’t think I have it in me, Anon. I’m so tried, this show has taken a lot from me.
Klance was gonna be canon in the Macross twist, they got a last second veto so they decided to serve from Klance to Allurance at the expense of Lotura. Because Lotor’s redemption was tied to his romance with Allura, they had to replace Lance with Allura or Lotor in key scenes to elongate that relationship. The reason it looks like Shiro wasn’t really important this season was because they cut his part in Lance’s bi arc because he was with Allura. They kept the emotional moments with Keith and Lance for plot weight and flipped the final hand hold to a broshake, and that scene was probably supposed to happen after Lotor and Allura BOTH went to save realities because Keith talks about Allura in the past tense, the stars look like Allura and Lotor back to back, and when you unflip their hands it matches the NYCC Poster. Same with Allura looking back at who should’ve been Lotor.
The reason the poster we all got at the con had Allura cut was to remove Lotor and the older paladin designs but they probably went too deep.
Ezor was supposed to probably die but they unburied her after the S7 outcry but couldn’t get her VA so they dubbed her and recorded Acxa and Zerhrids lines. You can tell cause she doesn’t have the eyepatch in the NYCC poster.
Acxa and Veronica were always meant to bond in that season, not Keith and Acxa, which is why they’re smiling and walking together in the poster. Whatever decision to scrap possible Kacxa came way wayyyy earlier. They didn’t even record lines for it
That wasn’t supposed to be Lance in the final scene because Matt and Pidge have always been engineering partners. Lance has never held a tool in the entire show. His hair is cut to show time has passed.
Lance’s altean marks were added last minute and you can tell because nobody talks about them and they serve 0 plot purpose. Those were supposed to go to Lotor because he is Altean and his and Allura’s goodbye kiss was supposed to mimic their first kiss. This is why we never saw any of the previous two Allura and Lance kisses, they weren’t supposed to be as “important” as Lotura.
Kovlian hints at a team of seven for a fight in the documentary ep. That was supposed to foreshadow Lotor fighting with them in the end.
Lance at Alluras bedside was supposed to be Allura at Lotors bedside, you can tell how they traced over cause Lance looks super dainty and then hella tall in another scene. It’s weird. Also they use the line “come back to me” which is what Honerva says to Zarkon when she resurrects him in S3. Allura and Honerva are parallels, not Lance and Honerva.
Sincline doesn’t shoot Allura because there was gonna be some kind of plot of Lotor still being “alive” and Allura would have stormed the pyramid to get him back from Honerva.
There are probably about 2 episodes worth of cut footage that includes most, if not all, of Lotor/Allura reunion and Allura fighting Honerva and Lance/Allura breaking up.
Keith was probably gonna tell Hunk in the Clear Day ride that he liked Lance. That’s the trope of “broken carnival ride”
Pidge was probably gonna help Lance realize his relationship with Allura isnt working during Clear Day when they get prizes for her. This was also cut.
Curtis and Shiros wedding was also added last min cause of the Adashi stuff. Shiros orginal future was probably to replace Sanda as Admiral.
Steven Yeun can’t rerecord lines so whatever we got from Keith was pprobably OG. That means in the Epilogue everything was the same but him and Lance were a couple. That was couple banter. Also their jackets match.
Since Ezor was supposed to die, that means it was probably supposed to be Lance who rebuilt the BOM with Keith, Acxa and Zethrid. If you look at that shot of Ezor in the back shes looking at Keith softly - that was supposed to probably be Lance.
