As A Significant Other:

He’s pretty distant

Hi, I love your blog. Could you do a preference on how Hoosier would react if you took a bullet for him? Maybe you weren't seriously hurt so you didn't need to be evacuated or at least not for long, but his reaction to you being hurt, treated, and when you return?

The Reader Taking a Bullet For Bill “Hoosier” Smith:

Let’s just start by saying that you and Hoosier probably didn’t get along much at first

he would always be picking on you and most likely being a jerk or giving you a hard time

maybe (but definitely) because he had a secret crush on you and had no other idea how to express his feelings.

You would take a bullet for him when he was not paying attention

Like during a night ambush when he was probably half asleep and didn’t see it coming

and you didn’t know why you pushed him out of the way but you did.

He would immediately drop to his knees beside you as he screamed for a medic once he saw the amount of blood you were losing from being shot

and he would have no idea what to say to you so he would just pull you into his arms as he repeatedly told you that you were going to be okay.

Once the medic came and evacuated you Hoos would honestly be a mess. 

He would be all shaky and would probs still be kneeling on the ground, looking at the blood that was on his hands.

Chuckler and Leckie would have to come along and get him to calm down before walking him back to his foxhole

they would try to convince him that the best thing for him to do was to get some sleep but all Hoos could think about was you

and how he should have told you that he had feelings for you before they took you away.

It would be a little more than a week before you returned 

and the whole time you were away Hoosier was questioning the other guys as to whether or not you were okay or if they thought you were alive

and even though they would be annoyed with how much he asked, they could’t get angry because they felt so sorry for him.

Nobody knew when you were going to return so when you finally came back everyone was hugging you and asking you how you felt

But that would be when Hoosier saw you

He would be sitting with Runner, Chuckler, and Leckie when you caught his eye 

He was absolutely speechless and just walked away from them before quickly running over to you.

He didn’t care that you were in the middle of a conversation with someone and he didn’t give you anytime to react before he scooped you up in his arms and swung you around.

Eventually he put you down just long enough so he could finally kiss you and tell you the way he felt.

y'all were walking home from a nice anniversary dinner that Hoosier had planned

the both of you preferred to walk since it meant spending more time together

and honestly, who was to say no to the views the town offered

sure, it was just the shops and the street lights and the occasional passer-by

but that was what made it beautiful

anyway

it started raining when you were right outside your home

now, you LOVED the rain; it was a beautiful force of nature

hoosier on the other hand…not so much

it got him grumpy and he didn’t like being wet from head to toe

you couldn’t help but laugh and stand out in the rain, twirling in the rain with other people giving you odd looks as they rushed to get into their homes and cars

hoosier grumbled as he was in the rain and getting soaked and cold

but as he kept watching you dance and skip in the dreary weather

he couldn’t help but grow a little more fond of the rain

it made you smile, so who was he to hate something that made you happy?

he thought you were the most adorable thing ever to exist

i mean, you were laughing and happy, so he was happy too

“alright, come on, (y/n), let’s get home before we catch a cold”

“aww, bill, what’s a little rain got on us?”

hoosier only shook his head and sat on the porch as you stood in the rain with your arms out and a smile on your face

when you had had enough, you hurried to where bill sat, grinning like crazy

“you get soaked enough?”

ironically, bill was the one to get a cold instead of you

he slept in the next morning while you brewed a warm cup of coffee for him

you couldn’t help but smile softly at his sleeping figure wrapped in the blanket

Folk of Middle-Earth (Fighting)

How they react to seeing for the first time fighting on the battlefield.

(Female) You are a human member of the fellowship for all characters (I felt it was just easier)

Legolas:

He was used to the opposite gender being able to fight, he had fought alongside many Elleth in his time, their grace could never be outmatched by humans,  but when he saw you swaying on the battlefield, there was something rather hypnotising about it,  it was like you were dancing, he was in awe as you cut down one Orc at a time.  He felt proud of you.  

Aragorn:

Aragorn, had heard from Gandalf, that you could handle yourself, and he would never deny you the right to fight, when it came down to it, he couldn’t help worry about you, but when he saw you fending off Orcs with ease, he knew he didn’t have to, in fact, he felt you could give him a run for his money.  

Faramir:

Gandalf had sent you to aid him, while he rode to Minas Tirith.  When it came to fighting, he barely noticed you there.  That was until an arrow had whizzed passed hitting an Orc square in the eye.  He glanced up to see you standing on a rock, shooting everything that moved, with no misses.  He couldn’t help admire how graceful you looked, had it not been for your ears he would have thought you were an elf.  Even with the blood splatters on your clothes from your enemies and the sweat dripping down your face, you were the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.

Boromir

He had verbally made it clear he wasn’t happy with a woman on the field, but when he saw how you handled yourself against the goblins, in such a small space too, he had definitely changed his mind.  You knocked them down like they were nothing.  With such a confident look on your face. Even when the troll came in, you confronted it like it was nothing too.  He was fascinated by you and your warrior skills.  He made a mental note to apologise to you when you all were safe.

Eomer:

He didn’t even know you were on the battlefield, until you had pushed him out of the way of a large blade, fending off the Uruk-hai wielding it, with ease, he couldn’t even form the words ‘thank you’ you looked so badass in his eyes, with hair stuck to your face from sweat and the way you swing your sword like it was a feather.  To say he was impressed and a little turned on would be an understatement.  Maybe women on the battlefield wasn’t that bad of an idea, ‘don’t tell his sister though’

Haldir.

At first, he had no opinion of you, you were there, fighting, that was it.  Well until he saw you stopping the Orcs from jumping off the ladders, when you forced them off, showing a strength he hadn’t expected to see from a human woman.  How you jumped in to protect the injured soldiers around you when you could.  He could tell you were fighting for the people around you as much as the people inside.   He admired your heart and strength.

Legolas x Short!Reader Headcanons

A/N: Just looking out for my fellow vertically challenged fans out there (; enjoy!

• This boy has definitely used you as an armrest before. Putting his arms on your shoulder or head has become a common practice between the both of you; and while he knows you could (and probably would) break his arm in a split second, you don’t really mind having his touch on you 24/7.

• Legolas loves carrying you. Because you often grumble about the injustice of his long legs and how you practically have to run to keep up with his long strides, he often lifts you up on his back, slings you on his shoulder, or carries you bridal style to “help you keep up with him”. Not that he minds, of course. The sight of your beet red face and flustered demeanor makes it a worthwhile investment every single time.

• Since Leggy is a literal tree, kissing him can be quite a difficult task. He enjoys watching you try to elongate your body as much as possible to get to him, often standing on top of your toes in an effort to reach his face. To him, the image of your nose scrunched up with frustration in an attempt to make contact with his lips is one, if not the cutest things he’s ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Eventually, you come to the end of your patience and grab him by the collar, dragging him down to your level. Although he misses the entertainment, the feeling of your lips perfectly molded against his is more than enough to compensate for it.

• Your small frame makes cuddling easy. Rather than squirming around trying to find a comfortable position for the both of you, your petite figure allows him to wrap his body around yours with ease. He’ll nuzzle his face into your chest, wrapping his lean arms around your waist and pulling you close, inhaling your scent deeply. No matter how many times he does it, you always flush with slight embarrassment, ears turning a rosy pink at his intimate action. Nonetheless, you’ll swing your hips around his midsection and stroke his hair lovingly, undoing his braids and letting his hair fall free in waves. He’ll hum in satisfaction at the feeling of your fingers gently weaving through his tresses, voice thrumming against your chest and sending waves of love coursing throughout your body at the sound of his voice.

• Legolas is Extra™ when it comes to you. If clothes are ever too long to fit your body, he’ll arrange your closet to be tailored to your size. No matter how many times you claim the length of the sleeves on your nightgown is just fine, thank you very much, he’ll send clothing down to get altered perfectly to your body. Even though Legolas makes a show about the injustice of having no clothes that fit your body type, you know he just wants an excuse to see you in his clothing. His clothing is comfortable and you don’t mind being in it, however, it’s difficult to explain to his father why you show up to the breakfast table wearing his son’s shirt, wrinkly and oversized with sleeves draping over your hands and fabric spilling over your shoulders without receiving raised eyebrows and airy giggles from soldiers and servants alike.

• One of the most rewarding things about being short is that you’re the perfect height for forehead kisses. Legolas is free to shower you with tiny pecks on your head and little displays of affection that don’t disgust or disrupt the people around you. He also uses them as a comforting tactic for whenever your nerves kick in. Being as observant as he is, he memorizes every body movement that signals your discomfort and knows your fidgeting down to a T. Whenever you show signs of distress, he’ll give you little pecks on your hairline and gently brush through your locks with his nimble fingers, coaxing your anxiety away. He knows better than anyone that, sometimes, actions speak better than words.

• Given the elves and their free spirited nature, dancing is a common practice among them. Whether it’s a festival or just an everyday activity, they are often seen gracefully twirling and prancing to the sound of harps and flutes, laughter and banter mingling together with the music to form gentle melodies that drift throughout the forest. Because of Legolas’ status, he was taught how to dance at a young age and is very adept at the art of bodily expression. You aren’t bad at it yourself, in fact, you are quite the contrary, but your parents never told you how to deal with a height difference while maintaining an elegant composure. More often than not, attempts result in the two of you collapsing in fits of giggles, questioning your decision to try it out in the first place. It wasn’t entirely your fault, though. His trademark smirk and slightly raised eyebrow peering down at you does make it hard to keep the regal aesthetic.

Folk of Middle-Earth (Period)

First time dealing with your emotions while on your period (I left out the pain for the most part)

Legolas:

He’s pretty relaxed about it, on the outside, but completely lost on the inside, why are you yelling at him, for breathing? then crying the next minute.  And now you are telling him to go away, and now you are crying again.  He decides to bring you flowers, in hopes that it will cheer you up, he apologises thinking he and done something to cause this, so you have to sit him down, and explain it to him.  After that, he is much more patient and understanding, which is all you could ask for.  

Aragorn:

Aragorn doesn’t really understand what is going on with your mood swings, but he takes in his stride.  When you are angry he would remind quite and let you rant, when you cry he will try and cheer you up, if you are crying because you saw something cute, he would probably sigh and let you get over it yourself.  when you are feeling better, and its over, he would then ask you what it was all about, you tell him about your mood swings and the pain that you often felt, so after that he would bring you things home, that makes you happy.  

Faramir:

Faramir hasn’t exactly experienced the period before since he hasn’t had any female relatives since he was five.  He’s confused at first, you keep crying at random times, for random reasons.  Like when he had given you a kiss on the forehead before leaving for work that morning.  He had to reassure you he was only going to be paperwork when you had said that wasn’t the reason, he was lost.  He ended up asking Aragorn, who filled him in on the details.  So after work, he brought you flowers and sweet bakes.  And spent the evening reading poetry.  It became a tradition for the two of you. In other words, he is perfect.

Boromir

Like Faramir, he wasn’t very experienced with the monthly problem.  You had shouted at him for something trivial, he didn’t shout back but he wasn’t happy, which made you cry.  And now he was staring dumbfounded at you.  He went to hug you, but you were having none of it snapping at him, to get to work.  Which is what he did.  But he thought about it all day.  He decided to ask you when he went home, that evening.  You told him about it, by yelling at him.  He yelled back,  it turned into a shouting match.  Though from then on he was much more patient with you, only retaliating sometimes.

Eomer,

Eomer was used to it, he knew what it was that the pain you were feeling would make you angry, but he still couldn’t help himself when you shouted at him for no real reason, he had to shout back, and now you were in shouting war.  That the whole of Rohan could probably hear.  Eomer stormed out, he had work, to be getting on with, but he knew exactly what you needed, having someone bring you everything, flowers, sweet bakes that’s what Eowyn liked, but he went beyond that., he even sent a minstrel, to play your favourite songs.  Which you had to send away.  He couldn’t be there himself, but he wanted to make sure you were happy.  Partly because he loved you, partly because he was rather scared when you were angry.  

Haldir

Why were you sitting on the bed crying and smiling at the same time? he had just got off duty, he bombarded you with questions, to which you replied, ‘I saw a cute bunny today’  he stared at you dumbfounded, why would that make you cry with happy tears? so you explained to him.  He nodded as if he completely understood, that would explain why his mother had always gotten short-tempered when he was a child he guessed.  The next day when he came home from duty he brought home a lovely carved rock, you seemed to like that sort of thing, and you did, crying happy tears, you had to tell him that if he were to really bring you back something every time, then the house would eventually be full, so he opted to bring you flowers instead.

Headcanons of dating Legolas.

-Legolas would be very sweet and tender with you, gently holding your hand as if he thought he would break you.

-He is very good at playing instruments, and will play music for you when you grow weary or upset.

-He also will read to you. Whether it be books of history or science, he loves your curiosity and hopes his reading can somewhat quench your thirst for adventure.

-He teaches you how to master archery, scared that you would be unable to protect yourself otherwise. Although that doesnt mean he lets you join any dangerous quests, he loves you too much to lose you.

-Legolas would often make flower crowns or braid flowers into the hair of his S/O,  stating how beautiful she looked or how well the daisies complimented her skin.

-After sex or anything physical, he would treat you as if you were a princess. He would hum to you and run his hand through strands of your hair. He would bring you snacks or tell you stories from his past.

-He would love to take baths together. Not to look at you or make love to you, but to simply enjoy a piece of everyday life with the one he loves.

-Legolas himself loves it when you run your fingers through his hair. He turns into a puddle of goo.

-He greatly enjoys comparing you to nature. Especially stars. Your beauty seems to astound him.

Elves ~ How You Sleep

Thranduil

After a long day, Thranduil wants nothing more than to cuddle up to the one he loves most. He insists that you spoon with him being the big spoon he drapes and arm over your body and the other underneath your ribs. He is much taller than you it makes you feel so cosy as he holds you close to him all night. He tucks you under his chin and curls up more and more in the night so you’re literally enclosed in his body. Thranduil needs to know you’re there and he can’t loose you he keeps a death grip on you all night so he knows you’re safe. If you need to leave during the night for any given reason you have to wake him first otherwise good luck escaping. Sometimes on the very rare occasion when Thranduil’s ill or just doesn’t have it in him anymore he demands to be the little spoon. You both enjoy a change now and then and he loves being in your arms. He feels safe and calm and you can guarantee you’ll wake up with his face nestled in your shoulder sometimes if you listen hard enough you’ll hear. “I love you my beautiful starlight.”

Legolas

Legolas does enjoy a cuddle from time to time he was brought up touch starved and wanted to forever be held. You sleep holding each other as close as possible. Arms in a hugging position and legs tangled in one another’s. It makes him feel loved on top of all else and it gives him the affection he has subconsciously craved through his childhood. It also makes him feel like he’s protecting you. Holding you so close let’s him know even through his dreams that you’re really there. You both wake up intwined in one another you both shift a little in your sleep yet you always seem to stay clutching one another. He’s snuggled deep into your neck inhaling the scent of your hair and if you ever were to leave his side he’d wake up almost immediately and wouldn’t go back to sleep without you. Legolas would for the most part wake up first and place a gentle kiss on your forehead whispering an “It’s time to wake up my beautiful meleth.” He’s so cute

Elrond

Elrond isn’t over the top with physical affection but he does love you and he wants to show it. You’ll both sleep with you curled at Elrond’s side, he’ll tuck an arm under your back keeping you close but with a comfortable distance so you can both move. Sometimes in the night, he’ll wake up feeling you press your body closer up against his resting your head on his shoulder. He finds it incredibly cute and endearing he’ll place a kiss ontop of your head before falling back asleep himself keeping his arm locked across your body just a little tighter. Although sometimes he’ll be the one to pull you closer just wanting to feel that you’re there and hold you safely throughout the night. Getting up in the night is generally alright though if you’re gone for too long, Elrond will wake up and search the whole kingdom for you. He usually wakes up first running his fingers through your hair whispering sweet words of love.

Lindir

Lindir is very shy when it comes to affection or any sort of contact but he does want to hold you throughout the night in some way. You usually sleep holding hands it’s simple yet very sweet and affectionate. You tend to move around more than he does in the night and eventually you end up with your head resting on his chest and an arm wrapped around his abdomen. He instinctively places an arm on your back and holds you to him. Lindir can talk in his sleep sometimes mumbling things mostly about you or what happened during the day. He will notice if you leave the bed after a while but he won’t if you’re gone for a few minutes. Sometimes when you have a nightmare or a rough day Lindir wouldn’t hesitate to bring you into his arms and stare at your beautiful features telling you how much he loves you and how lucky he is to have you. He’ll get very flustered and blush when he awakes to you practically curled on top of him. Of course he loves it smiling just at a simple glance of your figure led against his. Lindir loves you so much.

“Relax, my love.”

Legolas shivered at your delicate touch, your fingers digging into the tense muscles in his shoulders. He sat silently in front of you, his damp blonde hair pushed over his shoulder so you wouldn’t accidental pull on the strands. His eyes were closed as you worked away to ease the pain from his muscles, your fingers and hands pressing, prodding, and kneading the many kinks and knots out of shoulders and arms. Though the pain he felt when you gripped a particularly tight muscle was sharp, he couldn’t help the sigh of relief that came from him as his shoulders loosened.

“With your help, meleth nin, I will.” Legolas let his head hang forward, the tension in his muscles slowly releasing as your fingers worked their magic. You noticed that the tension in his back and shoulders had grown significantly, his muscles growing taut at the continuous use and work he put in around the Mirkwood realm. You knew he had his duties, but if it was causing him pain, then one day to relax and work out the tension couldn’t cause any harm.

The blonde prince let out a soft groan as the tension in his shoulders lessened, your fingers now kneading the muscles in between his shoulder blades for moment before went back to the top of his shoulders. You were careful about his hair, parting it slightly down the middle and placing the separate sections far over his shoulders before you brushed your fingers over his skin. You felt a small smile pull up your lips, your fingers coming to a stop over his shoulders near his neck before your gently dug your fingers into the muscle there. The move elicited a flinch from your beloved, and almost as soon as your fingers trailed over down his shoulders, almost on to his biceps, you pressed your lips to the side of his neck

Legolas grinned at the new feeling, your fingers still expertly working away the tension in his body as your lips grazed softly against the skin where his shoulder met his neck. Your hands came to rest against the top of his shoulders again, one of his hands coming to rest against your own as you left a mixture of open-mouthed and butterfly kisses on his neck. He sighed at the feeling. He felt warm as you kissed him, his heart fluttering as you trailed your lips over the area of his shoulders you were just massaging. Once your lips parted from his skin he dropped your hand, and as you went to finish working the tension out of his muscles, he stood to his feet. Legolas has a smile on his face as he turned to face you, his arms wrapping tightly around your body after he moved around the chair to reach you.

His hand guided your head to rest against his chest, his steady heartbeat sounding soothing to your ears as you closed your eyes. “Le melin.” (I love you) He spoke softly, his lips ghosting against your braided hair as he cradled you to his chest. Your fingers glided along his exposed back, your nails dragging softly against his skin in a way that caused a shiver to run up his spine. You chuckled at the reaction, your lips pressing against his shoulder before you pulled away from him.

“Guren min gaim lín, Legolas,” (My heart is in your hands, Legolas) You replied, your forehead now pressed to his as he started loving into your eyes. “Forever and always.”

You flinched as an orc lumbered from behind you. It headed toward the fire with an armful of snapped branches. One of the three stood opposite you made a grunt that you assumed to be laughter at your reaction.

What did they expect? they had stormed your village a week before, setting houses and families alight, delighting in their deaths. You were the only survivor as you had been outside the village, at the river. The river they were,consequently, using to navigate their way back to Mount Gundabad.

You weren’t unfamiliar with weapons, you always kept your prized silver daggers on you at all times. Yet compared to the four orcs, you stood no chance. The fight had been quick and you had managed to slash at the leader’s chest before they bound your hands tightly together. The leader had roared in fury and landed a blow to your ribs, so hard you heard them crack.

That had been seven days ago, your ribs were sore and your mind tired. You suspected they were keeping you here for amusement, as every now and again one would stroke your hair, like you would a pet and send them all off into snorting laughter.

The largest of the group trudged over to the tree you were tied to, belching absently from their recent meal.

How long had it been since you ate?

A shaky breath left you, forcing a whimper of pain as your ribs moved.

The orc grumbled something unintelligible over its shoulder, causing his group to nod in agreement.

A bludgeon came into your view and you sobbed.

“Oh god,”

This was it then? They were bored of you.

You thought of your family, of how they would welcome you with open arms, of anything over than the heavy wooden object raised over your head.

Tears burned down your cheeks and you closed your eyes tightly. There was a grunt of effort as the orc swung it toward you. Followed quickly by an elven shout and an arrow flying through the air.

The wood collided with your temple and—

“No!” The scream echoed around your skull and it took you a moment to realise that it was you making the noise.

your eyes darted around wildly, taking in your surroundings.

The moon reflecting off golden trees. Lothlorien?

A quick glance to your far right revealed the fellowship, sprawled across the forest floor in a deep sleep. A rush of air left your lungs in relief. The sight of your friends was comforting.

“Y/N?” A soft voice whispered from the trees above you.

The accent placed on your name made it clear who was calling you.

Looking up above you, you spotted Legolas seated in the trees, his bow by his side.

Faster than should have been normal, the elf found his way down the tree and jumped gracefully on to the grass below.

“Are you alright?” He asked hesitantly, eyes travelling to your hands. Glancing down,you realised you were clutching your daggers in a white-knuckled grip.

both daggers unceremoniously fell to your lap, splattered with tears.

A quiet cry crawled up the back of your throat and you pressed your face into your hands.

Gentle arms wound around your shoulders, pulling you into a tunic-clad chest.

“Hush,” Legolas murmured, smoothing down your hair and pressing his lips to your head.

“All will be well,” he assured

You willed yourself to believe him, the feeling of safety that came with the prince cocooning you.

“I’m sorry,” you choked out, it wasn’t entirely meant for him, the smiling faces of your family burned on your eyelids.

Legolas tutted under his breath

“No,Y/N. None of this was your fault, you have nothing to be sorry for.”

A watery smile tugged at your lips as his arms tightened around you.

He had saved you then and he was continuing to do so now, it seemed.

You wondered aloud how on earth you hadn’t woken the fellowship up with your scream.

Legolas laughed quietly and leaned back against a tree, letting you fall asleep against his shoulder

hello, I would like to ask you a picture about how Legolas, Bilbo, Thorin, and Thranduil would react to a human who came from our reality, a very technological person who ended up in their world

Legolas

He would be confused and almost a little scared around you. You had a weird device and kept talking about random stuff he’d never even heard of it put him right out of his comfort zone. At the same time he’d be drawn to you your knowledge he found interesting and your lack of understanding of his world he found cute. He fended for you more often than anyone else since you had no idea how to shoot an arrow or even pay for things. You really grew on him everything about you fascinated him your language, customs, clothes. You both spent long evenings talking to each other about your worlds, educating one another and by so doing becoming the princes most valued friend.

Bilbo

He doesn’t even know what to say especially when you asked him if he had a plug socket. He was a little frustrated at first under the assumption you were messing with him and trying to ruin his evening but he soon found you were completely honest and actually rather intellectual. The pair of you bonded over cake and drink talking about technology. He had not a single clue what anything was or did but it still made him rather curious. Bilbo quickly took you under his wing letting you stay in his home and help you around Middle Earth. It was perfectly fees able and you made good company. You and Bilbo had great chemistry quickly becoming best friends.

Thorin

He would take you for a fool swiftly pushing you aside and going on about his day but once he saw your phone and headphones he immediately thought you were some sort of a threat. He took you in to investigate, when seeing you literally had no idea who he was, where you were or what Erebor or Middle Earth even meant he let you stay. He came across as cold asking you everything you knew and what the shiny glass box was. Eventually, he warmed up to you actually having a normal conversation with you on the daily. He couldn’t deny you knew everything about your area of expertise and later considered you his equal something men still envy to this day.

Thranduil

He brought you in after you’d been causing trouble in Mirkwood. He took your phone and accidentally took a picture of himself he panicked and demanded to know what kind of witchcraft you knew and why his face was in a box. You explained at finally he came to somewhat of an understanding. He ended up loving you. You were intelligent and could hold a conversation with him something he’d desired for many years, you taught him how to use your phone and what topped everything off he could take pictures. It occupied Thranduil for ages he sat on the throne taking pictures all day when he finally gave it back your camera roll was full. He wouldn’t let anyone touch you people could rip you off and he knew it. You were Thranduil’s best friend he couldn’t deny it.

• I say this about everyone but SUCH A SWEET BOY.

• your contact name on his phone is “tout mon coeur” (forgive me I used google translate)

• it means ‘my whole heart’.

• his contact is “boyf” in your phone but sometimes it changes to “French boyf”.

• He is a huge memer.

• Sends you memes literally all day and honestly?? nothing better than looking down at your phone during the day and getting a angry birds meme.

• tried to teach you French

• unless you know French then y’all just chat away and everybody is looking at y’all like “????” Tf they talkin about??

• hand holding is a 10000% yes. He does the thing where he just grabs it and runs his thumb over your knuckles and it’s just a great feeling.

• there are hardly any bad days with him. He just…looks out for you.

• And sometimes you feel coddled but he knows when to back off. So if he’s hanging around more than usual, he feels like something bad is about to happen.

• bad in the sense that maybe something stressful or anxiety inducing.

• literally the best person to go to when you’re having a problem or a rough day.

• will clear his whole schedule if you need him too. Not that you’d ever want him to do that—but he says it every so often and he means it.

• but he’s not the happy boy all the time! He has bad days too.

• he needs to know he’s not annoying you. And honestly hugs and mugs of tea is all he needs from you, but you’ll do whatever it takes to get his mind off whatever’s bothering him.

• you kinda have to pry whatever is making him sad out of him. He doesn’t like to worry you, but you get more worried when he’s distant and you don’t know why.

• back to happy stuff!! What am I doing.

• as seen in TURN, he is very affectionate.

• Like, he kisses as a greeting. Can you imagine the amount of kisses his s/o gets?

• you don’t even ask for them but they are much appreciated.

• you’re sitting on the counter eating a granola bar in your pjs, and Gilbert just walks in and calls you the most beautiful being in the universe and smothers you with love.

• he looks up from the chest of drawers and finds you in whatever article of clothing he’s looking for.

• “seen what?” You press, choking down a laugh.

• “oh, never mind. I seem to have found it.”

• and he runs up and gives you a tight hug and a kiss on the top of the head.

• I’m a little biased here when it comes to songs bc I listen to the same 5 bands but listen to the song: “Something I Need” by OneRepublic. Reminds me a lot of him.

• maybe not the drinking part but the underlying message def. fits him.

• literally the perfect man in every way. Would do anything for you, and you’d do anything for him.

• you both have your flaws but you understand them & each other.
