Maybe I'm being paranoid but I think I may have had my first bot comment on AO3

It's a little too vague about the fanfic (Kylux if anyone likes that) and I apologise if I'm wrong but I'd be a little concerned about some people replying to similar comments and ending up being scammed. Just be careful!

I don't think you are wrong coz i got a very similar comment and I'm not just a sceptical author who believes their works are shitty (although I am telling you this one is an appallingly- stoped-midway-first-chapter and this only makes it more suspicious)

I checked their profile on ao3. This "registered user" only created their ao3 account two days before their comment. No bookmarks or works. They don't have any pseuds either. Idk all signs point to "this is definitely a bot" but then again have bots really progressed that much or am I just a sceptical author who can't take a complement after all. I just needed another set of eyes to witness this and tell me for sure to not bother replying and your post was it.

Plus they even have a pattern to their usernames and use more ore less the same adjectives or more like the exact same comment phrased differently.

Looking at love makes me sad. Not just because I don’t have it (yet). That too, but I’m sadder when I see the used-to-be loves. Like an old larry vid or pic. Idk if it’s true but as far as I can see, I can see. And that makes me sad because I can’t see it anymore. Well they don’t even see each other any more and that’s just sad. They had something that makes me so jealous. They had it at 16 and 18 I’m almost 19 and I’ve never had it. But they don’t have it either now. That doesn't make me happy. Makes me sadder actually.The way they looked so happy together. I hope they’re happy now too. But I can’t imagine anything happier than what they’d had and lost and that just makes me so sad. And sign of the times makes me cry and that twirl at the Punjabi party makes me smile that sad smile and then I cry. Or I write. And all those gifs where they just look at eachother and you can see, feel, taste, smell the love, all these years later, through a screen, even by someone who doesn’t know how it feels or tastes or smells like. Will I ever have that. Even if just for a while. Even if I have to loose it too. And I try to dig up more evidence for their love. To prove to myself that love like that exists.
