🌆I Walk With Death in Final Exhalation🌆
(she's listening to Blinded in Chains by Avenged Sevenfold and humming the lyrics :> the title lyrics are from Nobody, also by Avenged Sevenfold)
Absolutely the best thing I've made this year so far, I wish I went a little lighter on the graffiti on the right wall but I surprisingly made it work better than I thought I would
The sign was originally just gonna say her name, but when I finished inking, I realized it kinda looked like a comic book cover, so I decided to lean into that aspect and make a couple mock comic covers, I changed the sign to say PHNTM, and I already inked the sword so I was forced to work with it, as a result I came up with Phantom Blade, which I decided is some kind of arcade and is the place that Jasper met her friends (Connor/Nora/Ash)
Super proud of this overall, I can feel my motivation coming back more and more by the day
I also have these sketches/muscle studies of her I did for fun
and this one is just for you Tumblr freaks (nonsexual nudity)
Ashetikaph, God of Sand
This is the first god from my worldbuilding project I've ever drawn, I figured it was time to actually start visualizing things instead of just writing more lore, so this is my first draft. It's a little bare bones, especially for a god, so next time I'll probably end up expanding on his design. I do know that I wanna give him a snake body instead of legs, idk I just don't feel like he's a legs-having kind of guy now that I've drawn him out. I was also gonna give him a bunch of scorpion tails and wings made of quartz, but the sketchbook I did this in is small asf so I kept those details in the drafts for now
I also headcannon that he sounds like Keith David bc I originally based him off Spawn with his personality and mannerisms so it was only appropriate that he sounded like him too. I have some lore cooking up for him that I'll probably share another time
Borealis, God of Ice
I've had this design in mind for so long and IT'S EVERYTHING I HOPED IT WOULD BE I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM, though I did get an idea from an irl friend (you know who you are 🫵👁️👁️) that he would be more unique if he was a full reindeer centaur instead of having just reindeer legs so that'll be in the 2nd draft, I also don't know if I'm gonna stick with the name Borealis bc it is basic asf and I feel like I could come up with something better but idk
I just discovered Dracula Flow and now I have approximately 935,734,651,374,561 new vocal stims
Too eepy
Qinter smoosh.
I'm so tired of every song being about dating break ups and sex to the point it genuinley infuriates me. Like why can't people write about something actually INTERESTING for ONCE. But nooooooo, we're going to write the same exact topic in the same exact way youve heard 75368208 times and its so sappy it will make you sick. Give me plot and something to THINK about dammit!
Come on, we need more songs about stuff like:
-A raving conspiracy theorist desparate for validation.
-A human getting dragged into a 6th dimentional dance club in deep space full of near incomprehensible creatures.
-Rivers from Weezer except he's a Vampire and loves to party.
-Dying in a tragic accident in space.
-PIRATE SHIP FIGHT!
-Might be a love song between a human and some omnicent demigod/oracle/alien, but could also be the euphoric beginnings of a drug addiction, or someone who is completely delusional.
-Struggling to beat the original Donkey Kong, (or any boss fight in a video game)
-Bringing Micheal Jackson back from the dead for fun and profit.
-Entering a machine that turns your body into digital matter and creates a perfect virtual world for you based on your mind.
-Hanging with the boys on a steamboat, (we have ice cream!)
-"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
-Ant death mill as a metaphor for capitalism.
-The unstoppable force of time gives a human a dose of humble pie, teaching him that nothing matters because everything is just going to die.
-A guy raising the dead and throwing an undead dance party.
-How your flaws and imperfections make you who you are and you shouldn't be ashamed just because society calls you defective.
-Mmmmm electric chair.
-Shady people preying on peoples insecurities by selling classes/programs claiming to fix all your problems. They don't actually work, its just for money.
-Being trapped in a dystopian video game world as an NPC, and trying to escape.
Normalize not liking flowers from your partners. They will die, I will feel bad, then I will do a bunch to try to preserve them— which 9 times out of 10 will fail and result in a horrible mess— I’m going to feel even worse when I can’t find a space to store the preserved flower and in the end they always get thrown out and I always feel like shit.
Normalize getting your partners things they actually want and like and need, over the typical gift that only really shows other people that you like them and that we are conditioned to believe is mandatory/evidence of being liked and a ‘proper correct’ gift
Sometimes when I misspell a word really horribly it turns into something that I think would be a cool name (for a fantasy setting typically), and I’ve been keeping the good ones in my big list of names (which I will reblog this w the whole list) but anyways here’s a lot of fantasy names based off typos I’ve made. I have a goal of making a character for all of these.
I also enjoy it because you can use whatever word it is a typo of as inspiration for the character. Like Ikean is maybe an interior decorator, or furniture maker. Encieth is anxiety ridden, Nyvobine is an artificer/makes tech, Finme and Higime are kleptomaniacs, Nin Ingard is nonbinary. I love them. My typos <33

REVIEWING EVERY GAME I PLAYED IN 2025
This is something I wanted to do just for fun, and to get a chance to gush about some of my favorite games hehe, I'm gonna start with my least favorite and work my way up
TLDR VERSION:
Dinosaur Strike: Battle of Giants - 4/10
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - 6/10
Castle Crashers - 8/10
Halo 2 - 8.5/10
Geometry Dash - 8.5/10
Streets of Rage 4 - 8.5/10
Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge - 9/10
Killer Instinct 2013 - 9/10
Slime Rancher - 9/10
Sea of Stars - 9/10
Rain World - 9/10
Stardew Valley - 10/10
Enter the Gungeon - 10/10
LONG ASS VERSION:
1.) Dinosaur Strike: Battle of Giants, you can probably just read over this one it's not that important
Funny story about this game, my parents lived in separate houses at the time, we had our Wii in my mom's basement and one day I was like "hey, what ever happened to that old dinosaur fighting game I used to play a ton when I was a kid??" so I looked for it everywhere, all over my dad's house, in all the cabinets we keep downstairs, everywhere, couldn't find it, so I looked all over my mom's house, couldn't find it, and then I saw the old cabinets in the corner of her basement that we keep board games in, and I was like "nah, no way it's in there, all the Wii games are out on the shelf" so I concluded I had lost it somewhere and I ended up buying another copy off Amazon, and literally the DAY IT GOT TO MY HOUSE, GUESS WHAT I FOUND IN THE OLD BOARD GAME CABINET, LITERALLY THE ONLY PLACE I DIDN'T LOOK. In conclusion, I am stupid and now I have 2 copies of this dumbass game
Alright so about the actual game now, it's SO UNBELIEVABLY fine, just purely mid in every regard, the combat system gets really dry after like 2 fights, there are different types of dinosaurs that have different stats (like damage, speed, health, etc.) but they still get really stale (my favorite is probably the velociraptor type bc of SPEED) AND SPEAKING OF SPEED (or lack thereof I guess) THE FIGHTS LAST SO GODDAMN LONGGG UGHHHH, no exaggeration, each round took me about 5-7 minutes, and THERE ARE 2, POTENTIALLY 3 ROUNDS IN EACH FIGHT IT'S MIND NUMBING, and like that would be A-OK with me if the actual fighting was interesting or fun, but it's just repeating the same 2 combos over and over again, dodge to the left, dodge to the right, light attack in between dodges, heavy attack whenever your opponent misses an attack, oh and I almost forgot about the STRIKE METER, which builds slowly as you do combos, and when it reaches the top, you get this little sparkle cloud around you, and the next attack you land will result in a DINO CLASH, where you have to shake the Wii remote and the nunchuck as hard as humanly possible in order to push against your opponent, and if you win the clash, you get a dino strike, which is like this game's version of super moves, and you have to swing your remote in time with the prompts in order to get the most damage out of it. That's the entire gameplay loop, it's SO BORING. There are a couple different game modes like domination (which is just a normal fighting game tower mode) and tournament, but it's all just the same thing still. Probably my favorite thing in the game is the customization, where you can choose a dinosaur and change it's colors and choose it's stats, and if you play a custom dino in domination, you can give it upgrades, it's not crazy but it kinda gives you something to do. I think that's the ultimate problem, is that this game is SORELY lacking in content. I mean, it's a cheap Wii game from 2008 so idk why I'm complaining so much, I guess my nostalgia brain expected more
FINAL SCORE: 4/10, might be fun for like an hour but not much else
2.) Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
I actually didn't even come close to finishing this game (I only have 6.5 hours) but I did have fun with what I did play, it has a lot of charm to it with the artstyle and the fun characters, and all the background/environment design is SO COOL LOOKING, I kinda dropped it after a little while because I kept getting stuck, which is probably just because I'm stupid and not because of flawed game design, but it was still a bit of a turn-off. The REAL draw to this game for me, though, was the FUCKING SOUNDTRACK HOLYYYYY
The OST was done by Jake Kaufman, who I realized is kinda everywhere. He's done every Shantae game except Seven Sirens, he did all the Shovel Knight games, Crypt of the NecroDancer, the DuckTales game, and craziest of all, he scored this low budget ninja turtles game I used to play when I was a kid called Danger of the Ooze, and whenever I played that game I remember thinking "damn the music in this game kinda slaps" SO HE'S BEEN A PART OF MY LIFE SINCE I WAS LIKE 10 AND I HAD NO IDEA
Anyway, Pirate's Curse gets a 6/10 from me, I'll probably revisit it at some point idk
3.) Castle Crashers
I PLAYED CASTLE CRASHERS GUYS, HEHEH AM I COOL AND HIP WITH THE KIDS??? HEHEH RIGHT??? GUYS???? anywayyyy this game is funn hehehehhee, I felt like I had missed out when I was a kid so I gave it a shot, had a great time :) I played the ice knight for about 12 out of the 13 hours I have in this game, he's still my fav, I also tried out the fire and poison knights but it just ain't the same, freezing enemies in place is just too fun, I'll probably revisit it at some point just like Shantae so I can get 100% completion, I think I started the super hard difficulty with blue knight and I remember thinking "huh, this isn't actually that hard, it's just like playing the game again since I'm actually on level with all the enemies" and I'd ESPECIALLY like to revisit it if I get a good group of people to play with, idk we'll see
Also the soundtrack BANGS, having Waterflame in your game before Geometry Dash is an absolute W that most people don't talk about
Final score is 8/10, had fun, would replay
4.) Halo 2 (MCC Edition)
Believe it or not I've actually never played a Halo game prior to this year, only because I never had an Xbox growing up, so when the Master Chief Collection was on sale on Steam for like 10 bucks, I figured WHY THE HELL NOT, and I didn't realize that Combat Evolved was the first Halo so I jumped straight into 2 (have I mentioned that I'm stupid yet?) It's like really fun you guys wowwwwww
I had kind of a hard time getting used to the old school controls since the OG Halo 2 came out in like 2004 or something, the no sprinting threw me off, the aiming system REALLY threw me off, but once I actually got accustomed with everything it was SOOO FUCKING FUN DUDE, this game had dual-wielding guns before Borderlands 2 did that's actually crazy, and I was NOT expecting there to be segments where you play as the Arbiter but that was so cool, and the fact you can switch between the original and updated graphics with a single button press is SO FUNNY LMAO, I haven't actually finished the game since I started playing it around the time life started to get super busy, I'll 100% revisit it and the other Halo games since everything about it is like basically perfect. The story, the gameplay, the REMASTERED CUTSCENES GODDAMN, the voice acting, and also..........the SOUNDTRACKKKKK YEAHHHHHH BLOW ME AWAY IS A FUCKING BANGER OF ALL TIME SHOUTOUT BREAKING BENJAMIN, honestly my biggest issue is that it doesn't run very well on my laptop but I guess that's not entirely the game's fault
Final score: 8.5/10, will revisit sometime
5.) Geometry Dash
Honestly I was debating whether or not to even include this game here, idk why I just didn't feel like it belonged here with all the other games I played, but here it is anyway bc why not
I played this game a TON when I was a kid (despite that I was never good at it) so when I realized it was on Steam it made me wanna revisit it, and I played it a bunch in the car while I was on a road trip, it's still just as fun today, and as a little bonus I'm way better than I used to be
All the main levels are cool (except Time Machine, fuck Time Machine) the new one that's just called Dash is SO FUN DUDE, when you get in the zone and you get further in a level than you've ever made it, it's such a simple yet effective way to trigger an adrenaline rush
And that's not even getting into the custom levels (and there are some BEAUTIFULLLL custome levels dude) and gauntlets, it's literally endless entertainment as long as you don't crash out, and it's also a way to discover more cool music (this game is the whole reason I love dubstep)
Final score: 8.5/10, always fun to revisit no matter how long you've been gone for
6.) Streets of rage 4
THIS GAME IS SO FUN HOLY SHITTTTTTTT, I only started playing a couple days ago but it's like so good omg, I've beaten the story with Axel and Cherry and I'm currently working on beating it with Blaze, Cherry is my fav bc SPEED and also she has a cool aesthetic
Everything about this game is engineered to make you go "hell yeah dude" from the combos to the artstyle to the fucKING MUSIC RAHHHHHHHHHHHHH, like when you get in a good rhythm and the music is bumping in the background it's better than DRUGS, and something funny I wasn't expecting was that you can unlock and play as the characters from the first 3 games, not like an updated hand-drawn character model with their own fully fleshed out move set, it's a crunchy old pixelated Sega genesis model slapped into a fully hand drawn environment with the same moves they had in the game they're from and they move at like 4 FPS, it's such a funny and charming inclusion that the devs did NOT have to put in the extra work to do
My main complaint is that I wish the characters has more moves I guess?? idk, like I was expecting there to be like some kind of wakeup roll when you get knocked down, or like some kind of short burst dash/dodge move, it just feels a TINYYY bit barebones and the combat can be a little bit stale, maybe it's just me idk
The game can also be fuckin RAGE INDUCING at times when you just don't know wtf to do against a certain enemy and you get corner trapped and you lose a life like "yeah this one's gonna be a D ranking for sure" looking specifically at Y Tower, I've game over'd on that level more than any other level in the game, but outside of that it's amazing, can't wait to play the DLC
Final score is 8.5/10, could go up to a 9 if some of the other playable characters blow my mind, we'll see
7.) Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge
This game is like what I imagined Streets of Rage 4 would be like, probably because it's the only beat em up game I played before SoR4, there's so much fluidity to the combat and you can literally juggle an enemy's corpse around a room for as long as you can keep them in the air, it's UNBELIEVABLY fun, and there's plenty of content both with the main game and the DLC I haven't played (I've played some of the DLC characters just not the DLC itself) like every time I play a character I'm like "dude, this is my new favorite character" THEY'RE ALL SO FUN, I'd say my for sure absolute favorite is Casey just because he does a metric shit ton of damage and is also really fast, and his air dive move can CLEAN SWEEP an entire group of basic enemies. I just started playing again today as Donatello and I think he's definitely my least favorite, he's SO SLOW and his combos are kinda boring, Michelangelo is a ton of fun though bc SPEED (if there's ever a "fast" type character or speed upgrades I can get, YOU KNOW I'M PICKING THOSE ONES, I love being a little spastic fuckin tweaker and dashing and jumping all over the place, it's so fun) I can ONLY IMAGINE the fun this game would be if I played it with friends (IF I HAD ANY LMAO AMIRITE) I have like 11 more achievements to get and majority of them are multiplayer based
All the boss fights are fun (except Rat King, that guy is mad fucking annoying) there's a pretty substantial spike in difficulty once you make it to Dimension X that threw me off, trying to go as long as possible without getting hit by anything is SUCH A FUN CHALLENGE, all the characters have different outfits that reference other ninja turtles media, everything in this game is just designed to be as fun as possible I swear
Now that I started playing again, I wish leveling up was faster, grinding the same levels over and over again can get kinda stale, and once you've gotten like 3 characters to max level, you kinda get the gist and it just becomes more grinding. It's still fun to play a new character but gets very stale after like an hour
Something funny about this game's soundtrack, I played the game, thought "this shit is BUMPING" and completely unrelated to this game, I discovered this guy named GaMetal who does metal covers of various video game songs, I had listened to a bunch of his stuff when a couple days ago I found a cover of Panic in the Sky from this game, I listen to it and it slaps like always, but then I read the comments and everyone's saying shit like "BRO COVERED HIS OWN SONG NO WAY" WAIT HUHHHHH HE MADE SOME OF THE MUSIC FOR THIS GAME DUDE NO FUCKIN WAY?? I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC BEFORE I EVEN KNEW HE EXISTED
This game gets a 9/10 from me, simple but effective
8.) Killer Instinct 2013
Now where the hell do I start with this one
Even when you're getting your ass handed to you, you're having a good time. It's quite literally impossible to have a negative experience playing Killer Instinct (unless you're fighting against a Sadira player, she's a FUCKER) Like the first time I booted this game up, I played Eagle and just mashed buttons against a CPU Jago for 3 minutes straight, I have a GREAT time despite not knowing a single thing I was doing. Before this game, the only real fighting game I ever played was various Mortal Kombat titles, so KI was a VERY big departure for me, I had to look up how to block, and felt very stupid when I realized you HOLD BACK TO BLOCK, JUST LIKE THE FIGHTING GAME BLOG THAT MAKES DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT VARIOUS FIGHTING GAMES THAT I'VE WATCHED BEFORE, Mortal Kombat is kinda unique in the fighting game world since it has a dedicated block button where most fighting games don't, you just hold back.
Anyway, yeah the game is basically perfect, every character is a completely different experience from each other, there's something for everyone, there's a single player mode called Shadow Lords that's like a rogue lite RPG type thing where you collect fighters and abilities and power ups and fight your way through various battles until you reach the final boss, I never got there bc I'm not good at the game but I had SO MUCH fun trying, and fun fact, the guy that voices Kan Ra is the same guy that voices Alastor in Hazbin Hotel, just some lore for you
Of the few characters that I played, Glacius was BY FAR my favorite, probably bc he's a bullshit spammer and his weird ice ball thing is like an instant win button since it forces so much pressure on the opponent while also keeping them off you at the same time, and with his other moves, Glacius can literally combo your ass from like 20 feet away, it's ABSURD TO WITNESS (I never did it myself bc I'm not good at the game) AND SPEAKING OF WITNESSING ABSURDITIES, watching high level gameplay of this fUCKING game is actually better than drugs, I said it as a joke before but I'm being so deadass now, like watching 2 people that actually know and understand the layers to the mechanics and how to deal with the things being thrown at them is ungodly satisfying. Just the sheer amount of knowledge you need to have about not only your own character, but your opponent's character is like.....I COULD JUST NEVER DO IT, WATCHING SOMEONE PULL OFF A COUNTER BREAKER LITERALLY MAKES ME WANNA DO A FUCKINNN BACKFLIP DUDE
So um yeah, play KI if you wanna, definitely watch it, and DEFINITELY listen to the soundtrack, you have no choice 🔪 Also another fun fact, Jago is one of the very few Tibetan characters in media, and Orchid is probably the only AFRICAN Tibetan character in media, diversity yippieeee
Killer Instinct gets a 9/10, only because I'm bad at it and don't understand a lot of the intricacies, if I did it would probably be an 11/10
9.) Slime Rancher
This game was recommended to me by a friend (shoutout @th3-l1ght6 🙏) and I couldn't put it down for about 2 weeks straight. Its a TON of fun starting out and exploring the island, finding new slimes and discovering new crops to grow. I think I stopped playing it the right way after a while since there was so many things I was stressing about, like making sure my slimes were fully fed at all times, refilling my auto feeders, harvesting my crops, emptying my plort collectors and debating whether to sell them or save them for later, making sure to not forget about my drills and pumps, it was just kinda stressful. Unlocking some of the portal tech so I could move stuff faster was a GODSEND, but I kinda had to re-learn how to relax playing this game, since technically everything is optional and there's not really a time limit on anything except feeding your slimes. Speaking of slimes, they're ADORABLE, my favorites are the tabby slime and the phosphore slime, they're so pretty like big squishy fireflies I love them so much. I also like the crystal slimes bc they're shiny and sparkly
The movement is also really satisfying, like only recently I discovered you can sprint in any direction which was insane to me, fuckin SLIME RANCHER had omni movement before Black Ops 6, ahead of the game thats crazy. The jetpack is also really cool but I kinda wish it had a separate meter from the sprint bar, waiting for my sprint to recharge just to clear a gap thats slightly too big to jump is kinda annoying sometimes, and I also wish you would instantly stop sprinting whenever you stop for a second, instead it just picks up sprinting and my epic hardcore gamer senses instinctively press the sprint button again despite not needing to, and that also gets a little annoying. Overall fantastic game though, I wish mint mangoes were real
Slime Rancher gets a 9/10, I really wanna finish it sometime
10.) Sea of Stars
As one of the few RPGs I've ever played (if you don't count Stardew Valley anyway) it might be up there as my favorite, everything about it is SOOOO COOOOOL. The pixel artstyle is GORGEOUS, the characters, both playable and NPC, are all really fun and charming, the worldbuilding is unique and interesting, the combat is immersive and challenging, the music is great, and just the overall aesthetic of this astrology-based fantasy world is SO my vibe
Probably one of my favorite details is the relic system, where you can find and pick up relics around the world and bring them to an NPC named Teaks, who will tell you a story about it and how it was created, like the Vampire Rose, a rose that for every second held by someone, it will extend their life by a year, but also cause a thorn to grow out of their bones. In that case, it actually gets brought into the main story when the villain's henchmen explain how they've lived for so long, so it can actually be important to the overall story, which I think is super cool and makes the world feel more real and lived in
In battles, probably my favorite character to use is Seraï, she's the GOAT, either her of Valere since they both have low-cost spells that can hit every enemy in the room. I kinda wish there were more characters you could bring into your party, like there's kinds of magic that I don't feel like got fully represented and it would've been super cool to see them in combat, like Keenathan's wind magic that he uses like twice just to blow a sail. Maybe its because the only turn based RPG I ever played before this was Shining Force (which has like 20 characters you can have in your party) but I just wish there was a little more than just 4-5, and it would open the grounds for move combo moves, UGH IT WOULD BE SO COOL
Uhhh what else, all the Dwellers had really cool designs and were fun to fight, the Immortal Alchemist is awesome, I haven't actually finished the game yet but I'm pretty close so I guess I'll hold my tongue on the ending, but I DEFINITELY did not expect the story to go where it went, the actual sea of stars being a multiverse thing was kinda crazy, the lock system in combat was a fun but also frustrating challenge, when you know you're gonna get hit by at least one spell and you have to decide which enemy to target to sustain minimal damage
OH YEAH, I FORGOR ABOUT WHEELS. There's an in-game minigame you can play at the tavern of every settlement called Wheels, its SO ADDICTING, once I literally booted up the game just to play Wheels for like 2 hours. The assassin figurine can FUCK OFF AND DIE I HATE YOU I HATE YOU, the engineer is really cool, wizard takes way too damn long to charge up, knight is kinda useless in the harder games, archer is the goat, and I haven't unlocked the cleric yet but he's prolly cool too I guess
Sea of Stars gets a 9/10 from me, will def finish sometime
11.) Rain World
Rain World has to be one of the most atmospherically rich and immersive games I've ever played, it does SUCH a good job of putting you in the headspace of a helpless prey animal, and the only time it ever tells you what to do is in the tutorial when you first start, after that you're completely on your own, which can make it super frustrating when you don't know where to go, but it makes it DOUBLE rewarding when you actually do make progress bc YOU FIGURED IT ALL OUT ON YOUR OWN HAHAH
Everything in this game is terrifying, some of the most tense moments I've ever had in a video game have been from this game, like playing fuckin ring around the rosy with a vulture in the sky islands, or literally being SUBMERGED in the flood water as I made it to a shelter (that actually happened the first time I played since I didn't understand the storm timer and only started running when the screen started to shake) I don't think my heart has ever raced like it has while playing this game
And all that isn't even MENTIONING how fucking beautiful this games artstyle is, EVERY SINGLE ENVIRONMENT is so intricately detailed that it's mesmerizing, and even though it's a 2D game it has an unbelievable amount of depth, like the climb up to five pebbles and realizing you're ABOVE the storm and the way the music completely cuts out to just leave you with the gentle white noise and the view (one of my top moments in my playthrough) Hell, I haven't even finished my first playthrough yet, and I have no idea how close I actually am to finishing the game bc I don't know what my objective really is, but I'm confident in saying that Rain World has become one of my favorite games of all time
Rain World gets a 9.5/10 from me, could very easily be a 10 in the future once I get to playing as the other characters
12.) Stardew Valley
The game is perfect, 10/10
I would gush more about it but I've been working on this list for 4 days at this point and my laptop has crashed 3 times and I'm tired of typing
13.) Enter the Gungeon
This game has had me in a death grip for the past almost month, I started playing it last year but stopped when I got a job, and just recently I finished most of the content, got the endings of the 4 main characters and 1 of the secret characters, it's so fun dude, literally every run is COMPLETELY different, you can get completely blessed or completely fucked by RNG
Probably my absolute favorite thing about this game is the chaos, like you can see something that makes you go "WHAT IN THE FUCK, WAS THAT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN??" and the answer is always yes, like the glitched chest that takes you to a secret bossfight when you open it, or accidentally summoning the lord of the jammed, or accessing the black market, or your gun turning into a mimic, or fighting against the secret door boss, or coming across an enemy wearing a red cape that doesn't attack you and just disappears after like 30 seconds of standing there, there's SO MANY secrets and hidden stuff to find it's so cool
Example, I was playing the Hunter for the first time, I ended up getting the clone item which is basically like a 2nd life, but it sends you all the way back to the 1st floor. So I ended up dying once right before the final boss, and like the death animation that plays is like a target aiming at your character and they get shot, but SOME GUY RAN OUT AND TOOK THE BULLET FOR ME SO I ACTUALLY SURVIVED?? I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT WAS AND I'M NOT LOOKING IT UP BC I DON'T WANT THE MAGIC RUINED FOR ME. But it gets crazier, I thought that whoever took the bullet for me was the clone item, so I was like "jeez I better be careful, I can actually die now" and I ended up dying to the final boss right as I was about to kill it, AND I ENDED UP BACK AT THE 1ST FLOOR WITH ALL MY GUNS AND ITEMS AND SHIT, I WAS LIKE HUHHHHH, SO THIS IS WHAT THE CLONE ITEM ACTUALLY DOES, so I ended up completely breezing through the first 3 floors again bc I was STACKED, my main loadout was the Phoenix, the fossil gun, and the chili pepper item, I was a full fire build, I could circle my joystick once and cover an entire room in flames, it was BADASS, once I cleared the 4th floor, I was stacked enough to make it to the final boss again without much trouble, and you won't believe it......I FUCKING DIED AGAIN FOR REAL THIS TIME, ALL THAT WORK FOR NOTHING. That was probably the most insane run I've ever had, I cheated death twice and still died in the end, and chances are I'll never be able to replicate that run again. Thus is the power of the Gungeon
Ultimately, there's just so much charm behind it, and a lot of the guns you pick up are so fun, some of my personal favorites are the Mahoguny, which is a wooden gun that shoots acorns, the Yari Launcher, which is a fully automatic missile launcher that does crazy damage, the Scrambler, which shoots eggs that crack open and release a bunch of bullets that home in on enemies, the Fightsabre, which deflects enemy bullets whenever you reload like a lightsaber, the Balloon Gun, which is a gun made out of balloons that shoots little tornadoes that move slow but do a ton of damage, and as a bonus you also float when you're holding it, the Fossil Gun, which is a dinosaur skull that sprays oil, and when you reload, it shoots out a burst of fire that ignites the oil, and the Vulcan Cannon, which is a BOSS MELTER, it's a minigun with crazy high fire rate and crazy high damage. And those are just a few of my favorite guns, there's literally so many it's hard to remember them all
My fav character is probably the Bullet just because the blasphemy is such a goated and unique weapon, fun to use at full health, almost useless if you get hit a single time. Also bc he can fully run into enemies without taking damage and that's really useful (something I found out is that his dodge roll can kill a normal bullet kin in one shot, fun stuff) He's also the only secret character I've unlocked, I KNOW how to get another but it's so goddamn hard that idk if it's worth it. My fav non-secret character is either the Marine or Hunter. Really anyone but the Pilot bc he SUCKSSS, his starting pistol is so inaccurate you can't hit shit unless you're INSIDE the enemy, his lockpicks are so unreliable and frustrating, they should never be used unless you have absolutely ZERO access to more keys, the disarming personality is nice but it's just not worth everything surrounding it
I don't really have many complaints about this game, I guess I wish there was a way to better control what drops?? But as like an endgame thing, like if you've gotten a character's ending you can select which guns and items can drop during a run, or at least increase the chances on some of them, Rainbow mode is kinda that but you can ONLY get whatever gun you pick at the beginning of every floor, if there was like a DOUBLE rainbow mode that just turns every chest rainbow, I'd be so fuckin into that, GIMME MY POWER TRIP FANTASY AND LET ME MELT EVERYTHING IN MY PATH
I could rant about this game forever I swear, but my final score is a CONFIDENT 10/10, and my favorite game that I played this year
I also played a lot of Minecraft and Borderlands 2 but I forgor to include them early on and now I'm tired and don't wanna keep typing this, ANOTHER TIME
Hope that was worth the read lol, now IT'S YOUR TURN, what games did you play this year? Any experiences that stuck out in particular? I'd love to hear them!!

30. “Can you Afford to be an Individual?” and “Moral Panic” by Nothing but Thieves because they are very relevant to the current state of the US, and “Blank Slate” by Joywave because idk its baller || “Underworld” by Teminite, “Death Juice” Kai Wachi, “REWIND” by Ray Volpe just bc dubstep yaaay

28.) Again, straight edge, but there are def songs I tend to space out to like I’m on something lmao, Melt by Au5, Everglow by Starset, Intermolecular Lullaby by Chime, Perfect Imperfections by Aika, and Alaska by Trivecta
29.) Die For You by Starset, the song that genuinely hooked me on Starset, My Demons was my introduction but die for you was when I realized I might have stumbled across something special, and they are still my favorite band to this day, making straight HEATTTTT
Stormbringer by Teminite, the first like hard dubstep song that genuinely blew my stupid little fuckin mind, like I was into dubstep before but that song is what cemented it as my most listened to genre
The Force theme from Star Wars episode 4, when I was a kid I could always acknowledge that the Star Wars music sounded good but I never went out of my way to listen to it when I wasn’t watching the movies, but there’s this one cover of the force theme by Unicorn Studios that drove me to tears the first time I heard it, I was like 13 lmao (even as I was typing this I had to pause to take it in) and through that cover I found more appreciation for other Star Wars music, both the originals and other people’s covers, and eventually other film score/orchestral stuff in general, I think the force theme is literally one of the reasons why I have such a passion for storytelling and art, it conveys so much while saying nothing and I genuinely think I wouldn’t be the same person I am today without it (also one of the reasons I love star wars so much)
Face Down by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, which you’ve seen in various spots above this, when I was a tiny wee lad, I had a game on the Wii called MX vs ATV Untamed, an open world motocross racing game with goofy physics and a bunch of different vehicles to do dumb shit in, and it was the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time (if I replayed it today I would probably be disappointed ngl) and one of the features it had was an in-game jukebox that played a bunch of licensed music, and there were only 2 songs I genuinely loved, being face down and Kwad Up by Kasper K, and it was probably the first time I heard a song in a video game and wanted to listen to it outside of playing the game. But the thing is I could barely read at the time bc I was a stupid dumb idiot child, and “Red Jumpsuit Apparatus” was too many letters for my brain to process so I only ever looked up Kwad Up outside the game, and RECENTLY I had a major hyperfixation on video game ost, and I remembered mx vs atv and listened to the whole soundtrack, to my surprise, EVERY SONG IS STRAIGHT GASSSSSSS, THEY HAD NICKLEBACK AND MCR IN THE SAME GAME, so now face down is literally one of my favorite songs of all TIME, and made me remember a bunch of other punk rock songs from the various motocross DVDs/VHS tapes I used to watch when I was a kid (they were basically feature length dirt bike music videos) and one day on my break at work I tried to find some of those other songs, which is how I found Peaceful Day (SHOUTOUT TERRAFIRMA 2, THE WHOLE THING IS ON YT FOR FREE) and now I think I fuckin love punk rock/metal, an extremely delayed development that could’ve happened sooner if I was a smarter kid and could actually read
Now this song isn’t actually that good, just kinda mid, but it’s the character select theme from Mortal Kombat Armageddon, it’s just the song I associate the most with the game bc I would spend so much time there with there being 60 FUCKING CHARACTERS TO PICL FROM, and MK is what influenced a lot of the things I think are cool, like NINJAS AND CYBORGS AND SOLDIERS AND MAGIC AND GODS AND DEMONS AND MERCENARIES AND ONE MOVIE STAR AND THEY ALL FIGHT EACH OTHER, if that game wasn’t in my life I would be a fundamentally different person i’m prety sure
damn that was a long on e
30.) DUDE, SO MANY HOLY SHITTTTTTTT, just like listen to the entire Killer Instinct 2013 soundtrack, most of it was done by Mick Gordon before he did Doom, there is not a SINGLE MISS (THERES EVEN A DUBSTEP SONG HUH) and also like uh Sullivan King’s entire LOUD album, Jonathan Young’s pirate heavy metal album (there’s deadass a veggietales remix on there, shit goes WILD) Dead Set Radio by Voia, How Do I Get Home by Dani Demand, and Blinded in Chains by Avenged Sevenfold
this took 3 hours
I made my own set of 30 music questions bc I had fun with the last set. I spent like half my day yesterday making this and my fucking laptop crashed and erased everything, so here we fucking go again. Hey I just realized like every 30 seconds when it says "Draft Saved!" at the bottom of my screen, that shit is not joking, so false alarm, crisis averted

7.) Going Under by Evanescence (I'm really on my 2000's edgelord shit) Side of a Bullet by Nickleback, both Makana and Slide by Riot (I'm not big into rap/hip hop), and Saturnz Barz by Gorrilaz
8.) Both Grenade in the Gravy and YO HO PEG THE POOP DECK by TheDooo, Geometry Dash Gangster Rap by Boom Kitty, Madeline Rose by Sullivan King, Moses Roses by Varrick Frost, and Best Band in the Universe by Jonathan Young/Galactikraken (one of the most "hell yeah" songs ever made)

Pretty much every Imagine Dragons song I used to listen to, but I'm gonna go with Natural specifically, pretty much all the minatory songs I have in my deathstep playlist (minatory is a niche subgenre that's like deathstep but with more white noise and harsh sounds in general) because that shit is just way too noisy for me, I thought it was cool and edgy when I was a kid but nowadays it's just a vibe killer, Hello by OMFG, that song is mad fucking annoying bro, Kwad Up by Kasper K, my favorite song from MX vs ATV when I was a kid turned out to be my least favorite today, and the majority of the nerdcore/fandom music I used to listen to, but specifically the Five Nights at Freddy's song by The Living Tombstone, I swear the only reason I EVER liked that song was because it was FNAF
