For the first time in my adult life, I went into the New Years without expectations, resolutions or getting upset over missing the count down (I missed it AGAIN this year too🤪). Instead I let go. Let go of my surroundings, accepted my unusual family dynamic and gently reminded myself that too often expectations lead to disappointment - so I chose to #letitbe 🥳 and simply be happy. Being a highly empathic person my whole life, I’ve struggled with depression on and off, wasted so many years — so many tears on friends, family, circumstances.. Over analyzing what I did wrong, how I could have handled it better. I’ve come to believe - nothing is really anybody’s “fault”, it is just another paragraph in the book of life. I’m a believer that everything is perfectly the way it was meant to be, in order for everything to come together to the grand finale of your destined story. 🥳.
