one thing I'm surprised the jingliu submitter didn't mention is that she gets a lot of hate for what boils down to being mean to two men in a popular yaoi ship and often gets unfairly blamed for the disintegration of said relationship (which she certainly didn't help but not everything can be blamed on her).
the Xianzhou is all about cycles of grief and revenge how being unable to move on from the past keeps you trapped, and jingliu is a traumatized war veteran who has come to believe that the cycle is inevitable and trying to break it will only make things worse, which is why she has an antagonistic relationship with one of the main characters, and it's frustrating that the fandom usually villifies or ignores her instead of engaging with that complexity.
jingliu propaganda!
