Public Enemy

We know from "Public Enemies" to "Reign Storm", Danny was seen as a villain to the general public. Before he would deal with ghosts and only a handful of people saw him at a time, mostly the kids at school. After Walker's invasion, not only was he made fully public to not just the city but possibly the outside world, but he also was framed as a villain.

So in a fusion type crossover story, their should be supers, both hero and villains coming and going inside Amity Park to check out the new budding "villain". Heroes coming in to try and capture him and villains wanting to team up. Maybe a few fans wanting autographs from their new favorite villain. I know there was some of this back when there were a handful of "Danny joins Hive Academy" stories back when the Teen Titans cartoon was more popular but we need more of this, imho instead of the stories that seem to want to make Danny the perpetual victim.

Maybe a young, impressionable villainess wants to meet her celebrity crush (imagine Danny as the Bieber of the teen villain world) and Danny has to try to either get her to leave, convince her he's not a villain and/or reform her. Nothing goes well.

This is a good idea, it allows for a more significant rewrite of events with the plot for DP going of the rails. An alternative solution for no one coming to Amity Park during the events of canon that doesn't involve a coverup is the rest of the world going through batshit insane shit at the same time as the ghost stuff causing chaos in Amity, leaving no time for the heroes to send anyone to investigate, and the villains too busy causing trouble elsewhere to send in a recruiter. Add on top of that the JL is struggling to get rid of the federal anti-ecto control act with potentially a disadvantage due to precedent set by the case with Secret. Alas, I have yet to see a fic that goes the route of "there is no coverup, the government is just fascist"

Sometimes I'll be reading a fic where a ship is a core element of the story, and then when I notice the ship happening in the story, I'll feel the need to double back to the top of the page to check the tags just to make sure I'm reading the hints correct

DP x Fallout (Two ideas, take your pick)

Ok, so it's all fun to see a video game crossover fanfic that has the crossover'd characters follow gameplay closely. What i NEED is some quirked up fallout nerd to create a setting where the events of DP take place a year or 2 before the nuclear apocalypse of Fallout, have the ever contrarian Sam Manson be an honest to goodness Maoist in response to the political climate (and have that significantly shift Danny left-wards into at the very least reformist marxism), have Danny, a semi-immortal half-ghost decide he needs to fix what was broken by the apocalypse and consequently stop aging, and essentially form an "American Restorationist" faction in opposition to the Enclave as the socialist alternative in the Midwest. That, or isekai Danny into Fallout New Vegas, and watch as his character as it is in canon (maybe with manifested trauma he didn't get in canon that he should have) derails the plot.

I avoid a lot of Danny Phantom angst fics because I know that they'll make me angry, and they'll do nothing to satisfy my rage. Like, yes its very sad that Danny was cut open by his parents or the GIW or whatever, but where's the justice? Why are these villains allowed to roam free after doing that? They should be put in the oubliette, and yet here you are focused on Danny being traumatized.

Mad Scientists And Their Vigilante Children (DP X BNHA/MHA Prompt/Idea)

The Fenton Family moves to the world of My Hero Academia to escape the GIW, initially arriving in America to set up new identities and a cover story before moving to Japan by the recommendation of Clockwork

Danny almost immediately turns his ghost side into a wanted vigilante criminal in the Hosu incident after his family has settled down in Japan, and his parents very quickly are seen as mad scientist super villains, though they somehow always make sure they can't be arrested for their actions. Danny's involvement in Hosu most notably includes acquiring praise from Stain (The Hero Killer) in front of the cameras. From here, the Fenton Family's involvement in the world of MHA causes the story to go increasingly off the rails as Danny accidentally makes himself a symbol of leftist resistance in Japan (And to some extent in America), Jazz ruthlessly uses the Fenton Peeler on pro-heroes attempting to capture Danny, and Jack and Maddie somehow manage to avoid criminal charges while being the most criminal in the family.

Danny phantom crossovers really need to embrace the fenton parent's chaotic energy more. Like, I understand why they are often written out of crossover fics and I don't begrudge the authors that. bUT the ficosphere is really missing out on the absolute comedic potential wrapped up in those mad scientists. Especially when you consider the version of Jack and Maddie who know about phantom and unconditionally support their son's efforts.

Like, these guys have very skewed ethics and regard for the law. They are constantly armed to an incredible degree and are not afraid to shoot first. They are obnoxiously supportive of their children with megaphones and foam fingers. Their sense of normality and social convention is shot- if it ever existed at all. They are geniuses and can build nearly anything out of anything and would probably be rolling in dough and world renowned if they weren't laser-focused on their area of interest.

So now imagine, if you will, Jim Gordon having to deal with these guys and their particular brand of eccentric. Is their help and expertise worth putting up with them (unfortunately yes). Or even the Joker? Maddie would 100% pull out the creep stick on that guy.

Aizawa or nezu having to deal with the American exchange student's parents randomly popping in? You know they are wanted by the police.

The migraines alone would be so fun.

Anyways, the fenton parents are human steamrollers that I would love to see utilized in more crossovers.

If I ever become a gazillionaire (big if, that would require a demented old gazillionaire to write the wrong name into the will or smth) I would immediately buy out all rights to Danny Phantom and pay a bunch of artists of different varieties to redo the show with better writing and a coherent timeline that allows Danny to at least age a little. Valerie would get her redemption arc, Danny's traumas will be manifestly real, and Phantom Planet will be shredded, having elements scattered over a 5 - 10 season expansion.

I don’t read Danny Phantom fics but I have read a decent amount of Danny Phantom/DC crossover fics, and while a lot of them touch on the fact that Danny is used to rich people thanks to Sam and Vlad, not one has touched on the episode where Danny’s family is filthy rich for a few days because they sold Fenton Works to the GIW and Danny completely lost himself to the money. That’s such an interesting character facet to tackle if Danny is mingling with the Wayne’s. The “I know what this money will do to me and I don’t want to be that person” angle.

Wow, you can really tell what kind of community Shield Hero has with all the AI generated smut you're bombarded with upon first opening the tag Full of fascist degeneracy. This is why there is only one good fanfic for Shield Hero and that fanfic is written by a communist. Horny pieces of shit can't even look for good media to jork it to.

Shield Hero, I'm fairly certain, was written by a pedophile. However, I think I could make a pretty good rewrite if I replace Naofumi with Danny Fenton, and then toss out all the dogshit writing and just write all the other characters better. Danny Fenton would be turned into a radical abolitionist the moment the slaver business guy shows him around the carnival tent full of caged people. And I think it would thematically match in so many ways to have Danny Fenton as the Shield Hero. He'll be anti-slavery, matching with the history of Shield Heroes being just towards... demi-humans, I think they're called. Danny Fenton is a guardian spirit, and/or is obsessed with protecting others. And he has ghost powers, so no need to rely on others for leveling up. As it turns out, that book was an extradimensional hook for a summoning of a human thet Ghost Writer found in Japan and decided to hide away in his library, oops! Luckily for Danny, Clockwork was generous enough to teach him age control when he was worried about his whole eternal teenager concern, so all clockwork has to do is pause time on Danny's world while Danny pauses time on his body so that he can take on this very important learning experience that Clockwork has not stopped and therefore endorses. Clockwork leaves Danny a sticky note on his face telling him not to worry about his world, so that's when Danny realizes the real reason why he was taught how to control his age. So anyways, Danny's kinda pissed about the summoning but placated by CW's stickynote, and so he plays along with it. The summoned heroes all talk with the king about the waves of calamity and their role in stopping them, Danny introduces himself as "Danny Phantom, Guardian Spirit of Amity Park" or "Danny Phantom, ghostly superhero", because he's still in ghost form, and doesn't intend on letting anyone here know his secret identity even if he's in a new world. (Unfortunately, the Shield might make things hard, but I'm sure Danny could improvise something to hide the damn thing). Eventually, the story gets to the part where volunteers divide themselves into parties with the heroes, and Danny predictably gets no party members, and unlike Naofumi, he is actually OK with this because he just thinks having a party at all would be too risky. He's powerful enough on his own as is. Now, I'll need to refresh myself on the story a bit in order to know what direction I should take things, but I was thinking that either Danny gets to be his own one-man-army for a bit, or Myne tries to form a party with him and then attempts a rape on him, and then does a bunch of other bad shit to him to ensure he is a pariah in the kingdom And that's as far as my memory will let me go before I really have to refresh myself on the story and lore before fully fleshing out the concept, but I'm sure you can imagine.

Micro-Prompt: Not Painful, Just Really Freaking Weird

A lot of Danny Phantom fanfics have the GIW go straight into the torture and vivisection, but what if a vast vast majority of their allegedly painful experiments are not painful, but instead just REALLY weird (and still a gross violation of bodily autonomy) After 5 weeks in the care of the GIW, Danny escapes, finding he has Vlad level mastery of duplication, and that he's pregnant somehow (he's not sure how, and he doesn't think the GIW know how either), and he's either mildly de-aged or has complete control over his age like Clockwork, and so on and so on This all could be applied to his parents as well, if you go for bad parents Jack and Maddie Fenton, but that is not something I would personally prefer.

I need a moment where Vlad is having a piss-baby meltdown monolog moment where hes like "why can't you see me as family Daniel boo whoo* and Danny snaps because the truth is; They could have been family. Maybe not father and son, but Vlad could have been Danny's cool, eccentric Uncle, someone who Danny talked to when he couldn't go to his parents, who helped Danny master his powers, and protect Amity Park, who Danny could call and ask for random homework advice. But that can't happen now, because Danny is terrified of Vlad. Vlad has chained him up, Vlad cloned him without his consent, Vlad put cameras in his house, Vlad has punched him, and kicked him, and slapped him, Vlad has tried to kill him. Danny can't trust Vlad, and sometimes that sucks so much, because sometimes Danny would kill to have an adult in his life that didn't suck, that actually did what they were supposed to do, and looked out for him, protected him. But Vlad wasn't that person, he would never be that person.

Justice Coup (DPxDC prompt)

The Justice League has been fighting for years to repeal the Federal Anti-Ecto Control Act. At the same time as Danny Fenton's escape from the GIW, the Supreme Court reaffirms the Act, siding with the GIW. If you know what to look for, you could see the corruption which lead to this decision. The private jet flights, the "gifts". The wealthy "friends" of the Justices who made the decision. With further anti-meta and anti-alien laws in the works, it is only a matter of time before the persecution is expanded, and death camps are built There are already active pogroms. After an emergency meeting in the watchtower, it is decided that the JL should launch a coup against the US government The story takes place shortly after the coup, opening with the big three in a press conference, explaining why they did what they did, likely with Superman as the main speaker. Trials will likely be held for those responsible for the genocidal laws. Those responsible including billionaires, judges, members of congress, the former president, and so on, and so on.

I kinda really want this now. Just Danny going full SCP containment breach on the GIW to avoid vivisection. A duel perspective thing would be nice for the time during Danny's escape. The first POV being, of course, Danny, where he's panicking and fruitlessly trying to escape without killing, and then he sees the table the GIW wants to put him on, so his mind finally slips into cold assassin mode as his emotions are dulled and his face goes blank. And the other POV would be a GIW scientist who was here to observe but will now quit if she survives today
